This category is pure gamble. Thousands of people doing thousands of attempts, until someone gets the perfect seed AND doesn't waste it. Beating WR feels like a worldwide collaboration
0 ender pearls in end portal, had to boat over ocean to find lava. Lots of parts of this seed wasn't perfect. With all the tactics and game logic i feel there is a strong skill element to this. In no way could i beat this record even if I had the same seed. Because there are so many tactics and strategies used here.

@@snacksy7754 This run is still RNG heavy. You need perfect trades to beat this, plus perfect lava and a better portal. There's no skill involved in that. Quick portal, not dying takes skill. Yet being good at the game won't get you anywhere near this record if you're stuck fighting endermen for pearls, or need to travel 2000 blocks to find the end portal.
Ok, here is my breakdown of the run Spawns next to a village that has a blacksmith with 4 iron and 7 obsidian Loots the village for 8 beds and leaves the village at 2:15 Finds the lava pool at 4:20 and enters the nether Bastion strats to get 20 pearls from 3-6 trades and getting the remaining 3 obsidian to do a nether travel 2 minute trades compared to 30 seconds on Korbanoes's world record, but the nether travel makes up for it. Easily finds the fortress with 1 pearl, kinda sus but nothing definitive Makes a very very good guess with where to place his portal for the nether travel and the stonghold is very close Uses 4 4 strats and finds the portal room with ease 0 eye, but he has plenty of pearls and rods Perch strats to get a very quick straight perch 7 bed one cycle to finish off this very good run at 14:36 The only slightly suspicious thing that you did in the run is ender pearl to a perfect spot to find the fortress, but you addressed that, you just understood how the generation in Minecraft works and know how to speed run this game very well. This run had it all. - Perfect village - Perfect blind travel - Perfect bastion type - Perfect fortress location - Perfect stronghold navigation - Perch rng manipulation The only improvements would be maybe an ocean exposed portal room and shorter distances between individual milestones. An alternative to bastion could've been a god bartering luck like in the previous wr, or a lucky ocean temple (8 gold blocks). Alternatively to all of this, a true god run would start with a completable ruined portal whose chest contains golden carrots and looting 3 gold sword, into a blue forest (loot pealrs) next to a fortress (loot blazes), followed by short ocean travel into exposed portal room.
Alternatively, check the SSG category. Anyway... would an ocean monument help? I feel like that would just give mining fatigue, and no speedrunner would ever try entering an ocean monument.
Actually, bridge bastion isnt the perfect and fastest bastion. According to top runners, housing is the best and fastest and also most reliable. People have gotten sub 2 exits with pearls, fire resistance and obby with it. Its just have you have to learn where gold blocks are but it isnt that hard since housing always have the gold blocks in one spot and routing isnt that hard to memorize

Different times man, this man grabbed 8 beds, bastions were alternative strats, didn't 5rd on a ssv fortress, not even dip route on the bridge(pig face xD), cobblestone block one cycle strats, 7 bed the dragon KEKW. Amazing what can change in 5 months.

I think this is the most deserving world record I have seen! Yeah you had some good RNG's, but they were not too crazy. For this run it felt like you needed to know all the tricks in the books (the four-four strat, perch strat (thank god for this, I've seen many speedrunners still not donig this)). What also sick was the time calculation, not immediately resetting when not seeing lava pool but realizing you can clear a lot of distance on the ocean. The observation skills, finding the fortress and ninja'ing through all those mobs. Well done man!

So I did some fancy testing for a couple hours straight. Here is the perfect RSG run. This includes some estimates for crafting and reaction time though. Since it is the fastest run, we need a looting 3 sharpness 1 golden sword in a ruined portal chest, along with a full set of gold unbreaking 3, and unrealistically, but still included, Efficiency 5 tools, except the hoe plus a gold block and flint and steel. We need 11 obsidian, and 3 diamonds in a blacksmith chest. We get 5 beds from the village, and having a spawn like Korbanoes, it will take about 6 seconds to get all blaze rods with looting 3. Now we have our gold block, and seeing this as a “perfect” seed we would get around 5 piglins in the area, and dropping instant pearls. Considering the furthest you can spawn from 0,0 in Java is 325 blocks, you have to travel 146 blocks at minimum to the stronghold in the Nether. With those extra pearls, the distance can be covered in 12 seconds if terrain isn’t bad. Now we spawn above an ocean with an exposed portal room swimming that minimum of 30 blocks distance down in about 5 seconds (I had some inconsistencies with the numbers) and going into the portal room will take about 2 seconds more. After this, I was too lazy to figure out how quick the dragon can perch so I just took the time the SSG record took in the End which is 50 seconds. So the total time that I got for the entire thing was 2:46 seconds excluding crafting and reaction time. Including those I got about 3:15. Also, if you read this entire thing, why are you still here?
I never said I expect someone to find a see with that exact scenario. I just think that the limit of the world record run will something along these lines. You can’t get faster than this in an RSG run.

6:14 That there is an example of how the pick block button is underrated. When you need blocks and you're in an area full of blocks you know are in your inventory, that's a second or two saved
Congratulations! This is such an inspiration - proves you DON'T need the absolutely perfect seed and completely flawless actions to get a record. Still very difficult, but this run shows that getting a world record is a goal within reach.

I think this is the most deserving world record I have seen!
Yeah you had some good RNG's, but they were not too crazy. For this run it felt like you needed to know all the tricks in the books (the four-four strat, perch strat (thank god for this, I've seen many speedrunners still not donig this)).
What also sick was the time calculation, not immediately resetting when not seeing lava pool but realizing you can clear a lot of distance on the ocean. The observation skills, finding the fortress and ninja'ing through all those mobs.

bastions have the best chance of sub15ing of any other strat, good to see a new more exciting world record! grats and GL in 1.7
So I did some fancy testing for a couple hours straight. Here is the perfect RSG run. This includes some estimates for crafting and reaction time though. Since it is the fastest run, we need a looting 3 sharpness 1 golden sword in a ruined portal chest, along with a full set of gold unbreaking 3, and unrealistically, but still included, Efficiency 5 tools, except the hoe plus a gold block and flint and steel. We need 11 obsidian, and 3 diamonds in a blacksmith chest. We get 5 beds from the village, and having a spawn like Korbanoes, it will take about 6 seconds to get all blaze rods with looting 3. Now we have our gold block, and seeing this as a “perfect” seed we would get around 5 piglins in the area, and dropping instant pearls. Considering the furthest you can spawn from 0,0 in Java is 325 blocks, you have to travel 146 blocks at minimum to the stronghold in the Nether. With those extra pearls, the distance can be covered in 12 seconds if terrain isn’t bad. Now we spawn above an ocean with an exposed portal room swimming that minimum of 30 blocks distance down in about 5 seconds (I had some inconsistencies with the numbers) and going into the portal room will take about 2 seconds more. After this, I was too lazy to figure out how quick the dragon can perch so I just took the time the SSG record took in the End which is 50 seconds. So the total time that I got for the entire thing was 2:46 seconds excluding crafting and reaction time. Including those I got about 3:15. Also, if you read this entire thing, why are you still here?

I never said I expect someone to find a see with that exact scenario. I just think that the limit of the world record run will something along these lines. You can’t get faster than this in an RSG run.

6:14 That there is an example of how the pick block button is underrated. When you need blocks and you're in an area full of blocks you know are in your inventory, that's a second or two saved
Congratulations! This is such an inspiration - proves you DON'T need the absolutely perfect seed and completely flawless actions to get a record. Still very difficult, but this run shows that getting a world record is a goal within reach.
