New speedrun category: Mine a chunk squared, mine a 16x16 area of chunks. I expect this video to be out no later than tomorrow!
Do it with a modpack that stacks 384 chunks on top of each other, so you have the y coordinate sqaured aswell.

16 chunks by 16 chunks is just a perimeter
That's better known as perimeter (from the center you have 8 chunks = 128 blocks where no mobs can spawn), and it's possible to do it in something like 10 hours using TNT dupers.

it rains in the cave because it is a warm biome outside the cave (savanna) it can't rain in warm biomes. but it can rain in normal biomes
I've mined a chunk twice. Once with a friend in a 100x 100x survival but I did most of the work. Another time in survival with a few friends but I did 70% of the work. Very fun.

Was there a rule against making a TNT duper? you can dig out an area that big in no time at all with one. It wouldn't be as clean cut, but it's where my mind went.
No duping is allowed at all. Its considered too major of a glitch.
