I really enjoy learning more of the nuances in style compared to most style UA-camrs that never go beyond the very basics. Best channel in this space IMO
I really enjoy Permanent Style though his presence on UA-cam is limited. And Kirby was definitely the one that sparked my interest in shoes. I'm in dire need of rebuilding my wardrobe and learning the finer details in style will be invaluable when I do that.
Mark your choice is superb as always....my 2 cents......shirt..solid French blue Pants..gingham mini in size..color it looks like salmon Shoes..my spectator loafers..black and white Suspenders always..light blue with dark blue argyle
I love the iridescent buttons on your dark navy hop-sack blazer. What type of buttons are they? I would love to add something similar to a navy linen blazer.
Great outfits. Just one question about the shoes on the last combo you say it's a Derby? To me it looks more "oxfordy" so what defines that shoe a derby?
Would it be fair then to call royal blue simply dark blue, or is the latter somewhat darker? It's hard to compare online but my first business suit was a dark blue. Perhaps in-between the shade you're showcasing and a true navy. I found it to be very close to the level of formality of a navy suit but far more versatile in the sense that I could wear it substantially more often in casual situations either as a suit or as separates. cheers
Correct! We actually have named it Dark Blue on our website. We prefer dark navy for more formal suits and sport coats, however this model is a nice option to lighten things up for the warmer months.
For some reason, in the UK, the makers of low quality suits often choose a French navy rather than a classic dark navy - maybe this is supposed to appeal to young men, who might think a dark navy suit too dour or boring. For that reason I associate French navy in tailoring with those horrible shinny suites. So this video is a good correction for me!

Navy blazer with the white chino or white suit separate trouser is a must-have combination for summer. I am a big fan of white trouser in summer.
Brother i too am a big fan of white trousers during the summer ....

I've also seen this type of color refered to as "bright navy" on some websites. I think it describes it well.
Thanks!

You can't beat a blue blazer!
True
👍
The blue shown is not at all royal blue.
I love that wet sand chino.
First like
Where is the royal blue? 😂
Lol, all those pants look good, just because you don't like it does not mean it is a no-go.
Lovely presentation and channel, but that is not Royal Blue by any stretch of the imagination!!! More like mid-navy!
