- Unboxing and chatting about what I ordered this year from the 2025 Hobonichi release!
I didn’t buy too many Hobonichi items this year as I’m trying not to overpurchase and to keep a minimal journal lineup (fingers crossed).
The Hobonichi covers I did pick this year were quite pricey, so keeping it to just three also made sense. Thankfully, I did save a bit by ordering directly through the Hobonichi website (before the price increase) and did a joint order with my friend Sandy to get free shipping from Japan.

I was so close to getting that green cover! It's so beautiful. It's unfortunate about that mother cover, maybe a leather conditioner could minimize the line? Beautiful haul ☺️
Definitely gotta try the leather conditioner! If anything, maybe it will fade with time 😅
Beautiful items! Ness’ bike cover is sooooo cute- haven’t seen anyone on YT show that one. (Sorry about Hobonichi’s response. I received the same surprising response from them about the yellow A6 fish scale crest cover that I purchased. It does not bend and stay closed like their other covers, therefore making it unusable.)

That zipper cover looks so pretty. I was on my longer list but I passed on it after all. I got crescent delivery cover in a5 and yellow a6 cover. My favorite collection this year is Unsodo, everything from it is so beautiful 😍
Sounds lovely! The Unsodo collection was beautiful. I kind of regret not getting any of the pencil boards from that collection...may have to get them later on 😬
That’s really mean and wrong for them to raise the price. You’re so lucky you got yours early enough.😢Cafe au lait is even more expensive now. What a pain!
It just seemed like an odd move by Hobonichi, especially after the chaos of release day. If they wanted to raise prices anyway, they should've announced it beforehand and then implemented it. ☹️ With the increase, I can't justify another order at Hobonichi now if I wanted to. And I'm sure those who missed out the first time won't want to either.
