I admire the skills this young lady displays. Uses proper leverage technics. I changed truck tires on the side of highway at night in snowstorms. It 's not fun. Would like to see that split rim inflated in a cage in case it blew.
You have that right! If that rim hasn't seated properly, that rim will be a deadly missile. I also was concerned about no partial inflation of the tube before insertion into the casing to prevent any folds up on hard inflation. Doesn't happen often, but can cause inner tube failure. We also had the old star hubs where you had to true the rims to the hub as the rims are tightened to the hub. Set the can of WD-40 on the ground next to the tire and spin, tightening the nut on the clamp slowly at the high point. I am so glad that the trucking industry here in the USA as gotten away from both the split rims and star hubs, making tire repair so much safer.
Who would’ve thought I’d enjoy watching someone fix and change truck and tractor tires? I did this just a little bit working my way through college back in the day. So it does bring back memories, but I’m sure glad I didn’t have to do it my whole life. Hats off to these ladies for doing an outstanding job.

Trabajé en la aviación por allá en los 80's y 90's como mecánico Aeronáutico, y pude ver en persona la devastación que causa el accidente que describes, pero con un neumático del tren principal de un avión Douglas DC-9 en el taller, el mecánico en ves de colocarlo dentro de la jaula, lo infló afuera en el suelo, y el conjunto explotó, no te digo lo que quedo del compañero, pero una parte de la llanta abrió un gran orificio en el techo del taller. La presión de esos neumáticos es muy superior a la de un neumatico de camión y la llanta es distinta (se compone de dos tapas de duraluminio unidas por muchos pernos). Al final, se comprobó que la explosión no fue por sobre presión ni por defecto en el neumático, era una pequeña fisura en una de las tapas de la llanta por donde perdía nitrógeno, y por allí terminó cediendo el material. Muy lamentable, saludos.
As someone who has already absolutely destroyed my back from 25+ years of hard work like this, you need to take care of your back, you need a back brace doing that stuff!! It's no fun getting to middle age and having to use a walking stick, and live everyday on huge doses of opiates and anti depressants to deal with the massive chronic pain. I'll have to watch this again. Obviously the punctured tyre was replaced, but why was the spare wheel taken off and another one put back where the spare was? Another interesting video from Mia 👍.
I imagine it was to rotate the spare into use. Avoiding a situation where you have a spare that's never seen use but has perished due to age and weather and is useless/unsafe when you need to use it.
