Most people don't understand the difference between training to engage in consensual athletic contests vs training to create incapacitating injuries.
This video shows the right approach and mindset to deal with a criminal, forget fighting, train to injure, look at MMA rules and practice everything that is against the rules. Stop sparring, sparring subconsciously conditions you not to injure the opponent, under stress this conditioning will carry when you need to survive a violent criminal encounter.
An MMA pro by the name of Anthony Smith was home invaded by a lunatic, I have a lot of respect for Anthony Smith for admitting in his interview that his MMA training did not work to decommission the criminal. That interview is on UA-cam.

Lol oh you mean the home invader that left his house in an ambulance while Mr Smith required no medical attention? He's also known for his striking but engaged him on the ground. Okay buddy what interview did you listen to? This channel doesn't even spell jui jitsu correctly.

@@StevenBerrocal-f2m The criminal makes that choice, not you.

Oh you mean the criminal who sought medical attention and was transported to the hospital via an ambulance while Mr Smith remained uninjured and fought his next professional fight without delay. I guess that training did him no good. Also noteworthy he's a striker and engaged him on the ground to protect his family who was present despite it being a weaker skill set for him. The owner of this channel spells Jiu Jitsu incorrectly and spells it Ju Jitsu and has little to no training in that art and would have done worse than Mr. Smith in the same position. Mr. Smith tests his skills this teacher doesn't and head to head I'd put my money on Mr. Smith in a street confrontation.
Edit: What works against trained athletes works on everyone.

I live in CA. Here, the law states that you have to invite your attacker over for dinner, dicuss why what they did is wrong, and if that still doesn't work, put them in time-out 😂😂😂

I love this guy because he's got it down to the practical cue where the guy looks away in that cues you for the explosion. The explosion is automatically five things you're laying into. The best thing about this guy he's the only one I've ever seen online willing to admit that that chokehold is a real loser in court. It's not self-defense because the guy can't break the hold and hurt you there's no threat. When you go to a chokehold you have escalated to deadly force and if somebody decides to help his friend out and escalate to that on you it's just too bad for you.

Thanks you for this video! Would be great to get a video from Prof David about maintaining knees, joints, tendon protection while getting over 50. Many of the videos are amazing for older folks to defend themselves. My guess is Prof David has some wisdom to share on aging and maintaining....

Just found you guys, definitely could benefit from your style off self offence, as have received 8 sucker punch king hits in my life, including one at 14, by 20 year old boxer, which ended up needing a triple fusion off cervical spine, 45 mins later I was still standing but was young and wasted, a lot more. Surgeries in 20s neck again, thoracic spine. Now 49, physical very vulnerable to slitest attack, I Will try to focus on your videos. AB. Australia

    chicago now:
a suv rolls up and 3 armed guys come out and demand your belongings. you give it to them and they tap you on the head anyway as they leave.
they do this two or three more times in the area in the next 30 min and then they are gone before law enforcement can catch up.
you know that this is going on. how to you mentally prepare for it? what do you do when you see them rolling up?
