It's crazy how how capable this card still is in 2024. I have it in a rig from 2019 with a ryzen 7 2700x, still runs everything I throw at it at 1080p. I was considering upgrading to a 3060 12 GB but other commenters told me to not even bother lol. Great video btw, looking forward to seeing more tests.
@@arrowslice6741I bought a 2070 from my friend. He wanted to buy a 4060 to replace it. I told him that would be a nice waste of money for maybe 10-20fps more 😅 He bought a 4070 instead
I have a MSI 2070 super i7 laptop could you run it to a 240hz/1440p HPqs 27in external monitor via display port and get good performance levels or would you just stick with a 1080p monitor. Any info would be great....Thanks .. PG
They have them, but their prices wildly vary. Typically they are massively overpriced. But every now and then a sale like this will sneak up. This one was a steal
i think alan wake 2 could work better if devs or prob nvidia release some update, game do look very good but there is rt that cant be turned off, so u are losing like 15 fps at minimum if not more cuz of laziness, more and more games have some kind of rt that cant be turned off
Yes the the a770 is significantly faster. It actually outperforms my 2080 which sits at about 60 degrees under full load. Gamers nexus found the same results recently.
huh? you can throw in on with balanced on.. it wont look excatly the same because ppi is 10000000 everything a "1440p screen" means lit nothing because it dosnt tell us the ppi... hell you can still find 37 inch and a bit higher at wallmart that are 720... so less quater that pixles per inch my parents have good moeny the biggest tv they have ever owned just months ago is 50 inches my 75 inch from 6 years ago i see the4x pixel increase at times basied on distance and res of game/video so the world is diffentant.. but they made 4k montors at 27 inches ... at 32 you wont tell the differance at 37 u might i own a 27 inch 2k monitor and a 34 4k... i cant really tell ... because ppi math the fact u dont mention monitor is like saying im good at math but dot give me a math question because we are missing massive math numbers 4k even on a 32 inch monitoris nice... but 27 inches exist so if we do the ppi math wtf...x 100
My problem with your comment is how irrelevant it is: 1. nvidia is obsessed with DLSS, and DLSS allows these to be played on a 4k monitor. 2. no one is "testing a card at 4k". You do understand that DLSS lowers the resolution right, then simply upscales? So I was actually NOT testing at 4k, i was testing on a 1440p/4k monitor but actually rendering much lower (hence DLSS). 3. People are curious how these GPUs fare at 1440p and 4k. since a LOT of people dont use a low tier 1080p monitor. they are fading. So in the end, the point of the video is: how does this 2070 fare in 2024 in the most demanding games, and can DLSS allow you to use the GPU on a 1440p and 4k monitor. Frankly yes. So, Mr. Engineer. whats the problem here?
I really don't know what engineering even has to do with screen resolution and general benchmarking. You don't need to be a mechanic to know if your car crashes or if the glass from your windshield is/isn't making your eyes bleed. Seems like you just want to feel like you know more about a about a subject than you do by making random criticisms.

the 2070 will still be capable 5 years on from now, plus mine has usb-c so we're pretty much chillin my bro
@ love to hear that, truly a beast of a card

He bought a 4070 instead
3060 12gb is like 2% different so unless you are playing very vram intensive games, it should be the exact same performance.
This rtx 2070 is thermal throttling add another 6 to 8 % performance on top of it.
Time to apply new thermal paste.
thx a lot. I have a 2070, this gives me hope to play the game
Very nice video. Thanks

How will Diablo 4 work with 2070 card?
Just fine
where did you buy this card from? i'm looking for a rtx 2070 i literally searched everysite but couldn't find it
Try higher fan speed (use that canadian cold air lol), new paste and undervolting and try again!
I only show stock. The average consumer won’t be undervolting and overclocking. Also doesn’t need paste, it’s brand new
@@TechGuyBeau who cares about the average person, it's just for fun to see what's capable with this blower card
I kinda wish you tested out Serious Sam 4 and the newer Doom games, because those would be very cool.
I think Alan Wake 2 is the new Crysis game, it's actually pretty well optimized
Is this better or equal performance compared to slim pro 9i 2023 4050?
This will outperform a 4050 laptop gpu
I’ve got 2070 desktop and 4060 laptop and it have very close performance, I’d say the same. But with RT 4060 is better
i got always under 70C on every games with 2070 no OC no UV. i think u need to re paste that gpu
The 2070 was a 1440p card and still is
hmm can't even find any gpu's on their website

Damm I like this guys brutal honesty 😂
But what about 2025
That's quite interesting the A770, performs much better.
Because this Rtx 2070 is thermal throttling core running at only 1600mhz.

anyone using this with skull and bones?
No but it will work fine
People actually play that? Heard it was a massive flop so never bothered. All they had to do was give us AC black flag on steroids.

hell you can still find 37 inch and a bit higher at wallmart that are 720... so less quater that pixles per inch
my parents have good moeny the biggest tv they have ever owned just months ago is 50 inches my 75 inch from 6 years ago i see the4x pixel increase at times basied on distance and res of game/video so the world is diffentant.. but they made 4k montors at 27 inches ... at 32 you wont tell the differance at 37 u might i own a 27 inch 2k monitor and a 34 4k... i cant really tell ... because ppi math the fact u dont mention monitor is like saying im good at math but dot give me a math question because we are missing massive math numbers 4k even on a 32 inch monitoris nice... but 27 inches exist so if we do the ppi math wtf...x 100
And 2060 super
Using a controller you nt a pc gamer
?
So testing a card at 4K that’s not designed for it. This is my problem with UA-camrs that aren’t engineers.
