2020 here. Used to listen to this song in high school 15 years ago, had the album, and if you're an OG you know that after the album was over, you had to rewind to hear the secret track. Listened to this so many nights on the floor, just staring at the ceiling.

I toured with these dudes back in the early 00’s. My band was called PARK. Just showed my girl this video. Anthony was super cool letting me use his SVT at a show. My head went to shit. Bought an SVT classic after that and still have it. Haven’t used it in well over a decade. Sucks, I’m 40 now. Was a cool time to play and be free though. We toured with a ton of cool and awesome bands around that time.

No actually you should be proud because you are a stalwart member of the B.M.P.B. The Bad Music Preservation Brigade. God forbid someone tell you that you are not emo and this music isn't either. Believe the news, I'm gone for good

Believe the note, I left for you
You can't turn back the clocks
You can't pull me up from here, so don't try
I'm in a car underwater with time to kill
Thinking back I forgot to tell you this:
I didn't care that you left and abandoned me,

I'm in a car underwater with time to kill
Thinking back I forgot to tell you this:

    Leave it up to me
    To burning you again
    This one's not your fault
    Please forgive me
    Leave it up to me
    To burning you again
    This one's not your fault
So forget, so forget, so forget me
And don't think back, don't think back on me at all
    Just let me go
Don't think back, don't think back on me at all
    Just let me go
Don't think back, don't think back on me at all

I got hooked on them after watching Release the Bats and hearing their song My Town which I still think is their best song/single to date. Ben Jorgenson is also one of my favorite lyricists of all times. He just has a way with words. His voice has also improved immensly making them even more profound. The line in this song: "What hurts the most is that I would still die for you," is so deep and true. I have always thought that.
I was upset when they broke up. It meant that I would never see them live but then their ten year anniversey tour popped up on my Facebook feed. Now I will finally be able to see them live now!!!!
Random aside: I have always loved his sweatshirt in this music video. I don't know why. I just always have.

ChrisYaNeighbor Yeah I spoke to Spencer and had no idea either. The guy stroked my face on stage during their set and I didn't even know. He was a pretty chill guy too.

@CFis22 Definitely in my top five. I'll never forget when I saw them back in '06. They were playing on the beach in Panama City, like no one in the crowd knew who they were. They started playing "Stay on the Ground"...it was so insane. Then around 3 and half minutes into the song they all stopped, the guitarist got up on top of the speakers, and then the whole band ripped right back into the music. It's easily the best thing i've ever seen live.

Funny to think one of my worst concert injuries happened during Armor for Sleep. I was pitting with a couple other people when momentum sent me airborn, landing on my hip with my phone in my pocket. I had trouble walking for a few days.
Those were the good old days. 😂
