Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

The fact that I remember EVERY SINGLE WORD to EVERY song from all of these bands 16-20 years ago both blows my mind and makes me extremely happy! I love my old self so much!
2023 and the time has passed, Im now 37 years old, married, father of two. I have a job, a comfortable house and stuff. But I'll never forget that time, when I just wanted to be Ronnie looking for his Juliet, trying to play and sing the REAL ETF. It's a time that doesn't come back, this nostalgia makes me happy for everything we've experienced. Thanks so much Ronnie, thanks ETF. This Chorus will always echo in my heart!
What a great comment. I'm 56 and never even heard of Ronnie all these years, despite all the bands my daughters loved and saw growing up. I only discovered him this year with Watch the World Burn but just saw him live a few days ago and it was the experience of a lifetime. I can only imagine the nostalgia of all those years and congrats on a happy successful life!
Now I feel old, I remember listening to this when I was on the bus to school
I wish I had been a teenager/young adult back when emo was mainstream-ish.
I am now a 31 mother and I am still back here to listen to this song.
we're so fuckin old now..... :((
Holy shit I can see whats happening now
Wait a minute your now commenting on this video?
Wow dude..took 14 years to change the quality lol
Johnnie?
LMFAO
OMG 2 DAYS AGOOO
*Please, somebody, I need someone to relate to. I'm obsessed with the way that he says "WIIIIIIINDOOOOWWWWW" @ **3:02** Like it's sounds fucking beautiful. Put that shit on 0.5 speed and see what I mean, it'll drive you crazy.... Ronnie has some serious talent*
16 Years later, this track is still amazing, and Ronnie is still Rockin'
it's a solid classic that has some very timeless unique parts to it for sure
Me: I’m 28 years old now, I’ve definitely grown out of my emo phase.
Also Me: SITTING IN THIS ROOM PLAYING RUSSIAN RULETTE FINGER ON THE TRIGGER TO MY DEAR JULIEEEEEEEETTT.....
Same for me lmao, but MCR is the one that makes me wanna sing
Fkn samee
It never left
i'm 31 and feel the same i have grown up working my ass having a wife and a kid but still i remember the days i will never forget how good it was feeling hearing and singing those songs back in the day
My dear romeo
For those of you revisiting the glory days, welcome back. It's been a while.
and now in HD
i can say it with a song's lyric "Hello you, how was the rest?"
Yes, it has.
It's good to be back
the fact that Ronnie is performing this as part of the setlist for his current FIR tour is so powerful
That's fucking awesome!!!!!!
Power move
He should because he wrote it!
Yessss and situations.
I miss the days where I would blast this on my headphones and never had a worry in the world
now we're all grown up ;/
Dying Is Your Latest Fashion still hits different after all these years.
true, aside from "situations", the rest of the album is still pretty solid to this day.
@@laatenightofficial1388 I know, but situations didn't really age all that well, the rest of the album did.
On god
This was is ours, no sympathy for the dead and my Apocalypse are the best.. not sure it its all from them and on that album
@kelnhide I agree with you. One of the skips for me on the album as well.
This Ronnie is so unrecognizable compared to the Ronnie we have now but thankful for both
agree. You grow up in like 14 years tho. Most of us are unrecognizable from 14 years ago

Favorite band of this genre, by far. Still listening in 2024
This is such a killer song, Ronnie has such clarity and power to his voice.
He’s even better live! There’s a version of this he did acoustic in 2015 that shows you how good he truly is. And he’s like, messing around the whole time so he can do it RELAXED. Absolutely mindblowing.
@@katherinethompson3239 Dude that's sick, I would kill to see him live
No matter what anyone says, no matter the time, that chorus HITS, HARD.
Ronie radke king of chorus
3:33
I mean, it's your opinion, but there are better choruses from other genres, in my opinion, as well.
So yes. No matter what anyone says, your opinion is yours.
@@Dustin_PlattNo one said it's the best chorus in the entire history of music. They just said it slaps which is a fact. Didn't need to compare it or downgrade it just because you like something better.
I remember being head over heels for Ronnie's voice as a teen full of angst. I remember when they were all I listened to, everyday on repeat... then Craig took over.
to be young and in angst
Same lol
craig needs to stick to craigslist, ronnie radke ftw
Craig’s voice always sounded super whiny to me
Grace Willis same Ronnie's voice is 😍👌
I'm 36. This song makes me feel like I'm 17 again. These times harboured a lot of trauma, but music helped me cope. I'm not grown out of the emo phase. From appearance, maybe. But the songs? I remember all the lyrics.
We'll always remain the same
Such a real comment, i'm 25 and can relate

96? yup i almost 28 now.. our generation didnt pass the scene to newer gen hahaha.. nowadays less emo sounding and even worse less bands are on mainstream music 🤣newer generation was dress like us with metal band tshirt but listen to marshmallow alan walking and many edms so i didnt know if we the one who misleading them or we just didnt talk that much to our little bro back then that they started their own taste of dancing electro 🤣😁
This song brings memories from my early teenage years. I remember rocking to this back in high school, as well as Falling in Reverse, Korn, Motionless in White, AFI and many more!
Can't believe it's been 9 years since I discovered this awesome bands and genres back when I was 13 y/o.
I will ALWAYS wonder what this band could have been if Ronnie was still in it.
it wouldve turned into what falling in reverse is now probably. Or maybe ronnie would've died due to heroin overdose

I love how everyone's like ashamed of being emo. This shit was lit. Embrace it.
12/29/2023 and still singing this at the top of my lungs while cleaning my house! Just call me an elder emo ❤
😮
❤️
I remember being 10 and sitting in the living room blasting this song and headbanging with my eyes closed, thinking I was home alone. I opened my eyes and my older brother was standing there laughing at me. While that may not seem anything special, that moment really scarred me and I keep my love for anything that's not hip-hop/rap hidden. To this day I find myself playing certain music when my friends are around.
Bro I feel that on a spiritual level fr.
Ay man just do you, don't let how people may perceive you stop you from living life. In high school I said fuck it I ain't gon hide who or what I am ima do me. And you know what, more people respect me for it and aspire to become that way. And the people who don't like it, why would I care about they opinions. Be yourself, this your life and you can't let nobody live it for you.

Been listening to Ronnie since escape the fate and I swear every year he keeps surprising me more.
Dying is your latest fashion was really ahead of its time and still holds up today.
Is it too much to ask for a HD version? Come on Epitaph....
Especially, with the 10th Anniversary of DIYLF just passing, you'd have thought that Epitaph would have done something special to commemorate it.
Vevs landia I had this on a burned CD with a Walkman...

@@DagzTheClown yeah.. All my life i will keep listening to this.
Dude this song is as old as me that’s- I can’t believe that I never heard my brother play this song when I was young (my oldest brother was in a band he could fix and play bass and electric guitar and he was damn good at it he is the reason I listen to this shit sorry not shit this godly music anyway😂)
I loved this song so much in high school. This and "My Apocalypse" were songs I literally listened to everyday on the bus to and from school. Crazy that 15 years have gone by since then and Im still coming back to these old songs. This whole album will always hold a special place in my heart. To me, early ETF music with Ronnie was the best they've ever released.
I found FIR and ETF early this year, I'm turning 18 and I listen to it on the way to school and back. I wish I was a teen in the 2000's in this era. What was it like? I daydream of it whenever I listen to Ronnie's bands
It was a way better time. The world was full of possibility and if felt like you could be whoever you wanted to be and say whatever you wanted to say. I listened to ETF in high school, my neighbor introduced me to them and I was hooked. I played guitar in a band and thought "if only we could be as cool as Ronnie and ETF! The world is definitely a much different place now, but I often think back to the early 2000s with a big smile on my face. But that's life, we all have our own experiences and you could be feeling the way I felt back then. 18 is a great age, you're just starting your life so make the most of it. The music you listen to will bring you back to a time like a soundtrack to your life \m/

They would either become one of the most successful band or a band that everyone calls a "sellout" because they changed their sound over the years.

It really does, teenage angst and all the raw emotions of coming into your own/adulthood while feeling like you were dealing with all the worlds problems on your shoulders....family, school, friends, that was life. No work and responsibilities like now 😆 (I jammed to these guys back in middle school when I was like 12/13)

+rockergrl ...okay? Just like the kind of music you want, not the music you think makes you cool. I was the same way when I was your age 10 years ago.
+TenaciousKJB I think she was saying, her image is not what you would expect someone who listens to this kind of music would look like. I am the same way, I looked like a dorky kid who didn't know what music to like and followed along other people. This song came out when I was 15 and I'm 26 now.. Rusty Shackleford It's all good, man. I laughed. By the way, your name is bad ass.
I am listening to songs I loved back then...
I gotta say that now I LOVE them again
I remember being obsessed by Monte Money's hair lol
WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO HIS HAIR AND WHY DID HE LEFT
HELP IM SO CONFUSED
he left because he had to go to jail
Monte money went to jail!!!???
No, Ronnie did.
man i remember being 12 back in 2012 or so & my friend Destiny showed me this song in our unfortunate situation in a motel. she proceeded to show me this song as well as Vampire. It shook me to the coreeee literally so good. She talked about her obsession with Ronnie & honestly I completely saw it. I continued to explore more songs & listen to Falling in Reverse/Escape the Fate. She and my emo brothers listening Alice in the Chains n shit really fueled my emo phase that I never got the chance to play out. My mom was a Christian who didnt believe in that 'white people stuff' (shes sane now ;-;) and we had no money to buy the emo stuff I wanted to wear. Yet another phase of my childhood that came & went without me being able to enjoy it. Thank you Destiny! I hope you come back to these videos and think about your childhood dude.
I haven't listened to them in a really long time, but honestly they're just as fire as when i first listened all those years ago & Ronnie is still just as hot!!! Makes me feel like that little girl again in my friend's motel room listening to music and watching shit we werent supposed to on her laptop.
The very first song I have ever heard of em when I was a freshman in highschool while listwning next to Alesana. Still my fav ETF song and my fav album of em. Nostalgia.
I still think this one of the best songs escape the fate ever made. The song itself has such a strong representation of a certain time period and genre of music. Most people who listen to this song will immediately have memories that come to mind from hearing it. Not all music does that.
MySpace Gangster Days!!!!!!
Hurtful words from my enemies of the last five years
What's it like to die alone?
And how does it feel when tears freeze when you cry?
The blood in your veins is twenty below
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Something I cannot forget
So for now, take this down a notch
Crash my car through your window
Make sure you're still alive
Just in time to kill you
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Something I cannot forget
I cannot feel what you've done to me
(I can't take this take anymore)
What you've done to me
So for now, take this down a notch
Crash my car through your window (window)
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet
Out from the window, see her backdrop silhouette
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget
Something I cannot forget

I heard this song playing as I was walking into the gym a couple weeks ago 😭 I sang along and felt so happy to hear my favorite song for a decade finally blow up!! So happy for Ronnie
I know this song isnt about anybody passing or isnt supposed to be sad but dang man i couldnt help but tear up to this song. I was so young when this song came out and me and my brothers would sing this so much while we were out skating. My sister always would hang out with us while we skated and had so much fun during these times. As i listen to this song today my sister has passed away and me and my brothers are way older. Thankfully i have my brothers with me but remembering my sister gave me little heart ache. Rest in peace my beloved sister.
