OMG!! Crash Bandicoot was my childhood, along with Spyro the Dragon! I'm so glad that last year and this year Crash and Spyro both received their own remastered trilogy games! :)

Thats a really nice moment. Sorry Mario 64 is one of the greatest games of all time IMO. It blew my mind at the time not so much Crash Bandicoot but its also a very important game overall.

It was revolutionary absolutely, but going back now it really just doesn't hold up as well as Crash does.

I'm a Nintendo kid, always have been and probably always will be. i had a super Nintendo growing up and had every system up to right now i have a switch. And I love Mario games, but crash 1.. that game shocked me. Ps1 overthrew n64 for me, and back then I didn't play my Mario 64 that much cause I preferred to play crash 1. Even today, after playing crash trilogy, I still say crash bandicoot 1 beats Mario 64 any day ♡

That's an interesting take. I'm not a big fan of Mario 64 myself and would agree that Crash 2 and Crash 3 overtake it easily, but man Crash 1 was not the smoothest start imo. Maybe that's because I played the second one first, though.

Preach. People are so shocked when they hear anything can top the beloved Mario, but they fail to realize that the N64 they loved so much was completely and utterly destroyed in sales by the new kid on the block Sony Playstation by a more than three-to-one margin.

Doesnt mean it was better. Looking back after having both systems I have to say 64 had the better games. Still love both though. Have all the systems today (Switch, Xbox, PS4) too

You might need to re-assess. It had, like, five good games tops.

Ill have to disagree on that man. I can only name like 6 ps1 games I liked and those are pretty much just from Crash 2, 3, CTR and Spyro 1-3. I did like metal gear solid and driver 2 also at least. So 8 I guess ha. Lets see for 64...Mario 64, ocarina of time, majoras mask, Banjo kaz, Banjo Tooie, Smash bros, Mario party 1-3, mario kart, star fox to name a few. This is just my list and opinion.

It's interesting, I liked pretty much none of those games. Mario 64 was great at the time, but in my opinion, was surpassed by a lot of platformers on PS1. Same story for Banjo. I'm not a huge Zelda fan. Smash Bros. was great, but that game seems worthless in hindsight after Melee. The Mario Party games are fun, but are really no better than Sorry! or Monopoly. Star Fox lasts like an hour. I will say that Perfect Dark and GoldenEye 007 were probably really awesome at the time, but I never played them.
The Playstation had the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games, three fantastic Final Fantasy titles (and ports of almost all of the original ones), CastleVania Symphony of the Night, Chrono Cross, the Gran Turismo series, the Resident Evil series, the Crash series, the Spyro series, the Tekken series, a fantastic port of the original Doom, The Gex series, the first Metal Gear Solid, the two Oddworld games, the Tomb Raider series (though they hold up absolutely terribly today), and some more underground titles that I really liked such as Tomba! and Tomba! 2, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Croc, and a couple of really killer Spider-Man games. The N64 had some heavy hitters at the top if you like Mario and Zelda, but it was severely lacking in depth, which Sony has always had in spades.

SlowBurne that’s crazy you don’t like Zelda’s see I’m the same way with final fantasy. I can’t stand turn based games save for a few. I forgot about Spider-Man 2. Def gonna play the new one. Guess some people like different stuff lol
