Got my 2022 T7 Raven last month. I went with the Tusk rear rack an soft bags. Hopefully the rack will help protect the exhaust if I dump it. An you sold me on the crash bars. Keep up the good work

Good to see you back out on the road Ben, we have had a summer of flooding rain here on the east coast of Australia with tremendous road and track damage so our riding has been limited somewhat. I am interested in your statement about your Hero 9 with no battery instead running a battery pack. Can you give me a run through of that setup including the battery pack brand and model? It would be very much appreciated mate. Cheers Allen
Oh man that's no good! I've just updated the motovlog set-up section in the video description so all the links should be there. Essentially you need either a media mod or the GoPro mic adapter. Each will have a port for a mic, 3.5mm and a USB C port. If you run a cable from that into any power bank in your pocket, the camera will use it as a battery. Only thing is, the power banks have an auto shut off so if you plug the cable into it and don't turn the camera on right away you'll need to unplug it and plug it back in to wake it up. Still much better than stopping to switch batteries out though!
I record my helmet video on a GoPro 9 cabled to a small battery connected by industrial velcro to my helmet. I have not tried running without the battery, but with it charging from the battery I could record for hours. I tried cabling it to a battery in my jacket, but found the cable distracting. - Frank
I started running the power pack for snowmobile videos and wanted to keep it in my pocket for warmth. The cable can be annoying but I'm use to it now so I figured why change it. Would be nice to have it out of the way though.

For me (6'4") the list is:
* Huxar high exhaust, same reasoning but very inexpensive and no frame cutting. Agreed that any high exhaust is fine though.
* Crash protection. It's going to go down sooner or later, and plastics are spendy. And yeah,mines seen 4 hard crashes.
* windshield adjuster. At 6'4" the stock windshield doesn't go high enough. $20 on aliexpress, wonderful.
* heated grips. I have heated gloves too, but heated gloves are rarely as comfortable and with the next item, the grips are good well below freezing.
* obr adv 3/4 grip mitts. Amazing for keeping your hands warm and dry.

I have a GPS unit that I paid too much for, but most of the time I use my phone with a quad lock and their anti vibration adapter. I have been riding with it since last May. So far my Galaxy S10 camera is OK. Hopefully that will contine to be the case! - Frank
Yeah I think the anti vibe kits are worth the cost. Sort of hard to believe the rest of my phone still functioned after not having one in my gen2 KLR haha.

Which version of the Camel exhaust do you like better?
@@SwankyCatProductions well, hard to say as this is the only one I tested (the first version).
Have the standard muffler, but would be fun to try the enduro bend mid pipe that Cory has now too.
But it doesn’t look as nice I think.
I don’t think I will upgrade to the more expensive muffler either, really liking the raw sound of this one with dB killer installed.
My seat, crash bars, and bar risers are my best mods so far

Do have any audio static issues on your hero9? I randomly have this problem when hooking an external mic into the gopro media mod. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the tips! Beautiful bike! 👌🏼
Nothing yet but this was the first video I filmed with it. Honestly I credit all my good audio to my $2 mics. I think they have changed slightly now but I've got a link for them. Been using them since I started and never have any issues!
