This is the tractor we searched for. One of the benefits was it was common, do lots of attachments around and they were cheap. Simple just means less to break, easier to fix. Buy it. It's like buying a super power to get a tractor. 🙂

I was checking on prices on selling my Jd750 tractor. The tractor has been a joy ,but it's too small for what I need . We have had it since my dad bought it new back in the 80s. It has a real strong diesel engine and starts up in the winter with no problem. Has all kinds of attachments including a woods back hoe. Amazing machine. Hate to see it go but again too small for my 100+ acre homestead that I just bought.

Yay on the tractor! Wooohoooo!!! This is going to help a lot! My son in law works on and refurbishes older model tractors. I love to see them get a new lease on life. Yours is a dandy! Well done you!

You better have that already at the homestead and just waiting to show us the delivery on your next video. We had a similar mentor/neighbor offer to sell us their tractor at a great discount. I didn't want to because funds were tight. My wife said we really should do it. I am glad I listened to her. It has been a GREAT blessing. Enjoy!

Your buying from a friend so no hidden surprises. I think it's perfect for all the jobs on your homestead. Even if it's not new it's going to change things for the better and should last you the next 10+ years.

Yes. What are you even waiting for. Great small tractor. I have a JD4110 and love it. You can do quite a bit of digging with the bucket also. You can buy/make a trenching attachment to replace the bucket also. Try to eventually get a quick hitch attachment.

I just bought an 1985 John Deere 650 4x4 with a 67 Front End Loader and the original 40 box scraper with the original Scarifiers . it was a barn find husband passed and the tractor sat for 5 years. It did not run, I bought it for $3500. After a new starter & battery , flush out the diesel tank and float bowl with new fuel filter, bleed the fuel lines and it started right up. i did a full service including new front tires. This tractor is amazing I feel that I stole it for the price now, feel it is worth $6,500 but only a guess. The tractor that I hope you bought is a little bigger , a 3 cylinder with 4 more hp that mine & turn key you will never regret it and it will only be a collectors item in the future

It seems like there are a lot of folks moving into the area ... my guess is that you could rent you and your tractor out for driveway planing, driveway snow removal, moving material like chips or driveway rock, and maybe even some dirt moving. Just a periodic side gig enabling you to out a little extra on your mortgages principle, put some progress on your workshop, do a house maintenance or upgrade project, etc...

That is in FANSTASTIC shape. A lot of parts for it are discontinued so if you do need to do any major fixes, you may have to find a salvaged tractor to pull parts from. I bought one with 4200 hours on it but it was no where near as in good shape as that one. Found mine at auction and got a "deal" but it's always more expensive than you think it will be. Good luck!

Tess & Rolf are making you a very kind & very special deal because of your relationship & because they want to help, you know you can trust that they've kept up the maintenance well on the Tractor & can help you iron out any quirks or issues common to older machinery as you begin learning how to use it. I can't imagine any way you'll ever get a better deal for what you need & the Spirit it's being offered in is priceless in & of itself.....Go for it Dan, you'll never regret getting a Deere, it'll serve you very well for many years to come & will likely be lively enough to be able to be passed on to help someone else getting started once you're ready & able to move on to something newer or bigger or more specialized to your own growing needs later on.

My uncle just sold me his John Deere 750 that is four wheel drive and has the 67 front end loader on it for $800. It could use some new front tires and it does have a slow hydraulic fluid leak in the rear, but it starts right up and it all works. Your question is. Should we buy this tractor? That all depends on what you'll be primarily using it for. If you have wide open spaces and you'll be tilling or brush hogging in 1 direction for long periods of time then its a good choice. But those transmissions are not great for doing lots of loader work or changing directions a lot. Or in tight areas. Just my opinion. If you do a lot of loader work or change directions a lot let me know how it's working out for you. Nice tractor though. I just inherited 1 and won't be using it much because all I do is loader work and brush hogging and changing direction constantly.

My suspicion is that you are getting a friend's and family discount and this is a deal of a life time. You know best if you have confidence in the repairs, maintenance, and condition; from utube, it seems as if its been well cared for. Plus, my suspicion is that you can get maintenance, repair, and attachment mentoring for the asking. As a person farming while co-parenting a child, working to bring income I to the farm, limited time, and somuch more a tractor seems like a valuable addition. I suspect that the lack of a tractor has hindered your development of the homestead.

20HP is on the smaller end of what I would consider for a farm tractor, but it will still do so many things for you tht you will wonder how you ever got by without it. It looks really well maintained and it's from one of the big manufacturers, so it should be a reliable unit.
