"Used sparingly and with intent." You are spot on! All of these people with non-stop motion b-roll is insane. Let me look at the subject for more than 2 seconds.
I own it and love it, coming from the Crane 2, which is capable as well (which I still own), but now that the Weebill S is compatible with Fujifilm, this is the one for me.
The only negative I've heard about the Weebill S is from Vu of Vu Films who said his locks had broken. Mitch - what profile were you using when you filmed Lisa.
I was using neutral profile for the camera! Yeah I watched his video. Of course you’re always going to get some faulty units here and there.. I wanted to find more things not to like about the weebill tbh but I couldn’t!!
I've been struggling with my Glidecam HD2000 for quite some time. I got it about 2 years ago when I had my 1dxii and I just never felt connected with it. It just seemed so clunky and such a huge set up, I just never liked the result. Maybe I was just lazy and didn't put in enough time and effort to really master it. Since then I've in my mind have upgraded to the XT3 and am loving the video and photo results. I just ordered myself on of these and I think I'm going to be super happy and want to shoot more video.
i own this and i have very mixed feelings about it i used to have a ronin s during my dslr days and to be honest this felt like a step down in terms of build quality and i have big hands and its not that roomy and i really dont understand not including any option for a case despite all this i still think its the best in terms of ready to go nature and auto adjustment /calibration feature and mainly the price i got it for FYI - i use a sony a7iii , 35 mm f1.4 , 85mm f1.8 and a bunch of canon lenses all of them worked great
I have weebil s + canon eos rp + tamron 24-70 f2.8 vc the first version of tamron 24-70 Is it possbile to balance my setup on weebil s? Can you do a video how to balance a heavy zoom lense on weebil s? Thanks! Subscribed...looking forward to it
I shoot Fuji & the problem is usually just that you can’t use things like video transmission, manual focus pull, hitting the shutter from the gimbal etc
Bro the 18650 battery system is better than the sealed lithium ion or polymer battery like they used in moza air cros and dji gimbals. Those battery packs costs way much costlier than normal 18650 lithium ion standard batteries. Also the seperate 18650 batteries costs cheaper.
@@MitchLally the gimbals with embedded battery have expiry date. Dji acknowleged in an email you have ro throw in the garbage the entire gimbal after 3-4 years which is the lifetime for the battery if intensely used. The weebill s you can change the battery for 25$ and you can have two or three set of battery to hold an entire days or even two days straight. This is the most appealing feature of the weebill s, the removable battery and the slung handle. You should notice also the transmount fast attach so you don’t have to screw. It can be attach in one second. I hope the gimbal manufacturer will come back to removable lithium ion battery. Do you hear Dji ? I don’t want to buy a new 500$ gimbal every three years.
Hey Mitch - great review, thank you! This seems squarely aimed at the Ronin-S. Any reason you'd pick this over the Ronin? Would be using it with an X-T3 and a light lens (probably the 18-55 2.8-4)
I’ve never tried the ronin s or sc but I’ve always had issues with jitter and smoothness with DJI gimbals in the past which is why I stuck to Zhiyun. Maybe they’re better nowadays? I just don’t have my finger on the pulse of the gimbal world like I used to!
I got a question: I am really interested to buy this gimbal because I actually travel a lot. But I own a Canon EOS 600D (t3i) and Im not sure if this gimbal gonna support my camera. I also use the Sigma 18-35mm a lot. Does anyone know if this gimbal is recommended with a 600D + Sigma 18-35mm combination?
"Used sparingly and with intent."
You are spot on! All of these people with non-stop motion b-roll is insane. Let me look at the subject for more than 2 seconds.
Probably my most used gimbal for travel. It's not as smooth as the Ronin S, but it's smooth enough considering its size.
Nice Mitch! Been looking at this gimbal for a long time! I think you just secured a purchase for Zhiyun! great review mate!
It’s actually so good dude! Never thought they could top the crane plus!
I own it and love it, coming from the Crane 2, which is capable as well (which I still own), but now that the Weebill S is compatible with Fujifilm, this is the one for me.
Beast gimbal. Wicked review Mitchy 👌🏽
Thanks brother!
Watching your review convinced me to place my order, and get this particular gimbal!
Is this gimbal still usable with your R6? Curious if the eye piece clears the back motor with your current lenses.
Been thinking about a gimble... Great review mate!
They are a great piece of kit - not entirely necessary to make good work IMO but fun nonetheless. Thanks for checking out the vid Julian!
Awesome Review Bro! Lovin My Weebill S Epic Gimbal for Travel
Cheers Marvin glad you enjoyed it.
Super informative video mate!
Thanks Tommy!

Really informative Mitch. That under slung mode is something the Ronin S doesn’t have. Do you have a review on the Ronin s?

Would love to see a speed posted xt3/4 video! You’ve definitely got plenty of ef glass to do it haha
I already posted one!
Whatttt. What’s the title called? I can’t find it!
Nicely does it my dude! I have myself the crane 2 along with my A7RIII. Ps are you my brother 😂
Nice! Possibly we are related hahahaha
This was a well worded video 🙌
Hey. Now that Metabones made a Fuji X Speedbooster. Any plans on using Fuji again? lol.
Did they!?! How have I not heard about this. I am trying to get an xt4 I just have been saving my $$ for the R5!
I have weebil s + canon eos rp + tamron 24-70 f2.8 vc the first version of tamron 24-70
Is it possbile to balance my setup on weebil s?
Can you do a video how to balance a heavy zoom lense on weebil s?
Thanks!
Subscribed...looking forward to it
It would be possible to balance the RP and 24-70. Just be careful of zooming in - it could be too front heavy.
Great timing. I just bought the Ronin SC but it doesn't support my XT3 too well.
Oh really? Currently deciding between this and the Ronin. What kind of issues are you having with the XT3?
can you explain it a little bit more? I have also the xt3 and need a gimbal
I shoot Fuji & the problem is usually just that you can’t use things like video transmission, manual focus pull, hitting the shutter from the gimbal etc
perfec timing mate
Thanks! I am a beginner and I have the EOS R and rf 24-70. Do you think that this gimbal would be a good first try for
Me?

Good to know!

It's more inline with the Ronin SC the S is a bit bigger.

Can this handle the canon rp with the Ef 24-70 attached ? Because that lens is a tank
is it possible to shot in vertical ?
What's with the flickering with the skateboard shots?
do you think its strong enough to hold a monitor and a battery grip????
Probably not
@@MitchLally so you think I’ll be fine with just the monitor?
How does it compare to the Ronin SC?
Never tried the Ronin SC! I have a friend who has one so I might take a look.
Mitch Lally following!
So. Can use this to vlogg
Im still getting a bit wobble even with perfect balancing...anyone has that problem?
Still? Just went on sale on 2019 late, take it easy
Say no more!!!
If I buy one, do I get to spend a day at the beach with Lisa?
JK, but she is gorgeous!
Hahaha! She is and she’s a great model too 🙂
Its not so long
