Exactly what I needed to start my recovery. I started this week and already increasing the number of reps I am doing and today completed the full 30seconds of the plank.❤️
From your playlist picked this workout for this morning and have probably done it at least 20 times within the last 2 years and I got to tell you even after doing some sort of ab workout most days this workout still worked my abs like no other! Love these moves and the less than 15 minutes and I'm ready for my morning. Thanks Marsha!
Ann Carpenter thanks so much! I’m so happy you appreciate the workout! I would love if you could share the workout along with your comment on your Facebook page or wherever you have your biggest social media following! That would be so helpful - I’m trying to grow my audience so I can make a living from making videos like these! 😊
Going to try this today after having second baby 2 months ago! I didn’t have diastasis recti with either pregnancy but I remember not feeling ready for supported flexion or planks until much farther out than with this pregnancy. I loved this workout at 6 months post-partum last time but feeling much stronger and connected to my core this time :) Such a well designed deep core workout. Thank you!
Excellent content; I've had a TRX now for ages gathering dust because I didn't feel ready for it. Your exercises make using it much easier and less frightening. Also great for those in small apts with limited door/front hall space. Thank you!
I'm putting together a routine for my wife as she wanted to focus on her core. She found some of my TRX suggestions hard on her back but she really enjoyed some of these exercises. Thanks!
You'll have to move a bit away from the anchor point. Which will make it harder (more challenging). And unfortunately yes the door anchor does limit some of the movements.
I'm debating buying myself a TRX but was wondering if they really help build core/abs.... please reply if ur reading this and have been using the TRX for a year or more... thankyou 💪🏋️♂️👍
In my mind the TRX is the best fitness device to come on the market in the past 50 years. It is excellent for the development of every muscle, but particularly the core. Their motto is "all core, al the time". Highly recommend!
Thank you for putting the plank at the end my least favorite TRX exercise! Basically anything with my feet in the stirrups so to speak reminds me that I'm not as much of a strong man's I used to be but I still show up.
Not sure how to do some of these where you have to start behind the anchor point. My TRX is anchored to my door. Can't get behind that. Would be great if you could offer alternatives for the situation, if any.
I'll have to try to design a an entirely different workout for the door anchor situation. You are definitely more limited and there are no "alternatives" for those exercises. Will do my best!
I have a very weak core mostly from total hip replacement. I’m not sure I can even get on the floor. Is there an alternate way to do these without being on the floor?
All these exercises require a perfect overhead anchor point. The TRX was developed with the notion that very often you don't have a perfect overhead anchor point as is available in a gym. Given the apparent target audience of this video, it would be nice to see some exercises using a door anchor point.
Thank you. I appreciate your point. Perhaps you should have a look at my recent TRX videos. For the past eight months I have only have access to a door anchor. 😊
@@marshahughesworkouts Thanks for your timely reply. I did have a look at your other videos. Many of the exercises there had no specific need of a central overhead anchor. Outside temperatures around here at this time of the year are between five and fifteen below so I can't go outside and just throw it over whatever is convenient. Your videos are well produced and have excellent audio. Except for my previously mentioned concern the exercises have a nice mix of difficulty. Those involving complex movements while basically balanced on one foot are little too risky for me but seem like good practice for others to do.
Dear Ron, thank you for taking the time to check them out and respond! I can relate regarding the weather. Our temps will be in the -20 range this week so perhaps I'll be making a few more TRX vids for your enjoyment! :)
@@marshahughesworkouts Great! I am eighty years old. I'm surprised there isn't more effort by the TRX community to target my demographic. Minor strains take forever to heal and become major if ignored. However, with TRX, you can forget about adjusting the difficulty in the middle of a set. You can do it in the middle of a rep simply by moving your foot an inch. A hundred bucks for a stationary bike, another hundred for TRX, a doorway that is arranged to give you the necessary room and you're set. Of course, you do have to have basic balance, motor control and the ability to support your own weight when moving but even that is all at a fairly low level necessary to get the benefit. The exercises themselves provide a degree of support in all those areas. I must say that doing exercises with one hand tied behind my back might make sense sometimes but having one leg tied behind my back while exercising is a bit too much for me. However, I can see its benefits for those that are so inclined. I would advise anyone over seventy five to be very careful when considering such exercises. One thing to think about is whether there is a way to deal with it if you need assistance if you have a problem. Anyway, this has become a TLDR comment so thanks again for your excellent videos.

This is so great for regaining core strength and beginning supported flexion during the more progressed post partum period of say 6-12 months pp. 🙌

Seems like a great workout, but how do you do this when the TRX is arrached onver the door?
Great core strengthener for any level of fitness!
i know Im kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Korbin Elliot i use Flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Reese Larry Definitely, I've been using flixzone for since april myself :)
@Reese Larry thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it !!
@Korbin Elliot no problem xD
excellent for lomber disc
What if you are using (the most common) door anchor ???? You can not be under the anchor point
You'll have to move a bit away from the anchor point. Which will make it harder (more challenging). And unfortunately yes the door anchor does limit some of the movements.
Great job......nice shape
Highly recommend for swimmers
Can these exercises be done with TRX that goes over the door rather than hanging from ceiling
Only one way to find out! :)
I like these exercises but I have knees problems do you think I can do the ones you showed on your knees standing? if yes can you show how please

Ha ha - you are very welcome - I aim to please!
fortissimo Woooo

No - not with the TRX. Would be completely different exercises for sure. Standing abs. Not terribly effective.
