Stolen Range Rover SVR Automatrics MTrack Operation Bradford West Yorkshire

  • This Automatrics theft recovery operation was attempting to locate a stolen Range Rover SVR model (Special Vehicle Racing) model
This Racing edition Range Rover has a pretty special 550 BHP supercharged engine and can hit 0-60 mph in just 4.5 sec, and this 2016 model would be valued at between £65-70K
This vehicle was stolen at approximately 18.20 from a home address in Bradford. Bandits tried to force entry through the back door of the owners home but they were unable to get in. Undeterred they went to the front door and simply drilled through the owners front door lock to then gain entry inside to steal the car keys while the owners were out.
The car had been purchased through a finance company, who had contracted Automatrics to provide theft recovery tracking services in the event they need to recover their asset, through either a default on payment or a theft scenario. In this case both the lender and the car owner felt protected by our Automatrics MTrack Proactive which had been covertly installed to previous car and then transferred to the Range Rover in July 2018 when the car was purchased. Automatrics took a call from the finance company requesting them to activate the device remotely to recover the car. Automatrics activated the unit to report a cell site just a few miles North of the theft site and dispatched a radio signal finder to travel in the early hours of the 15th November to support West Yorkshire Police.
Watch to see if the recovery proves successful when the finder checks out the area what is he going to find. Also keep an eye out for Channel 5 camera man, who had been filming West Yorkshire Police for the Channel 5 Police Interceptors series.

A RR SVR starts at £100K. A beast of a motor. Sadly, you have a nice car these days and you live in fear of it vanishing overnight or your home invaded by violent scumbags who wouldn't recognise an honest days work let alone perform one. Another superb recovery.

My neighbour has this 5 litre SVR monster and it's sound is just amazing. I look forward to hearing it's roar when he leaves the house or comes back. I'm told that he's had it stolen before too, sadly. They parked it up somewhere waiting to see if it had a tracker, and luckily it did. The cops picked it up and returned it back home. It breaks my heart that people can just take what you've worked hard for like that.

somewhere deep in the engine bay probably hiding where you couldnt easily see it unless you took the whole car apart

    Another great recovery.
    A couple of things:
SVR sits under the Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations department. R is the most powerful range.
Whoever stole it clearly knew what they were doing.
The chassis number no need to wait for the owner to tell, but good to confirm with them, as it is well visible in a couple of well known places.
Really unfair or maybe not, why parked just opposite some Land Rover “enthusiasts” driveway.

It's a good thing the crims in the UK haven't managed to get the tech the thieves in South Africa have, with very high tech jammers and decoy signalling it can prevent car trackers from quickly recovering cars. It's almost impossible to secure an expensive vehicle - and even when you add a ton of security measures, thieves will just jump out of the bushes and threaten you with a knife (and sometimes even stab you just for the sake of it). Two partially trashed Range Rovers that I've seen on this channel thus far. One has to wonder if insurance replacing the car because it had no theft tracker might be better for the insured than having a trashed one fixed? How long will the police have it, how long does it take to repair, will it be subject to maddening rattles that not infrequently accompany extensive repairs. These are bittersweet finds, I expect your company to hopefully find the vehicle intact, like the excellent job you do recovering Construction Equipment.
England is insane with thefts, Magnet Fishing Shows in English Canals, recovering Motorcycles, Bikes, Safes, Chopped Vehicles, purses, wallets (with metal in them or caught between the magnet and other metal), knives, guns, etc.
We correspond with an English woman, she was surprised at the decorative things in our yard, she said in her small town that those things would be stolen right away.

    • @AutomatricsMtrack
      @AutomatricsMtrack  4 роки тому

Thanks for your comment, both cars are back with owners and fully repaired, the SVR needed more work than the AutoBiography which was back on the road in full working order in two days. The two savings with having them recovered comes from the car not being registered as stolen recovered if an insurance claim was made the vehicle would lose 30% value immediately. The second saving is that the owner does not have to have a claim profile on their insurance which will add a large percentage to any insurance quote for the next 5 years (and that info is shared between all car insurers). Although there may be many other reasons if customers have had special works done to their cars etc and they feel connected to the vehicle

Hi Jim - just to give you a bit more info. High value right hand drive Range Rovers are stolen and shipped to South Africa to be sold on or its very common to break them and sell on the parts. I was involved in the recovery of one that was stolen from Abbey Road London and was intercepted on the motorway, the sat nav had been changed to speak Russian and the destination was Bristol Docks ( West England ) I had another that was tracked to a shipping container in north Kent, it’s discovery led to another eight vehicles being recovered. You can steal a Jaguar / Land Rover by recording the signal from the key and playing it back from a hand held computer, the car now believes your signal play back is the key.

These car stealing gangs operate all around the world. I live in regional Victoria Australia.
The main problem areas for car theft are in the big cities like Melbourne and Sydney.
When ever I go to Melbourne and stay overnight I put my key fob in a metal box. ( I’m not sure if this helps ). In Melbourne and Sydney the Middle Eastern crime gangs seem to heavily involved in car theft. As in London they are either cut up or re birthed.
I think it should be mandatory for all new cars to have tracking devices built into them.

I have 3 big dogs. They sound the alarm. Then my stuff is protected by a 44 magnum Rugar pistol and a 12 gauge shotgun with buck shot. Have not lost a thing in 40 years. Of course I am in Texas. We have protection. God made man the gun made us all the same.

Why do you people even give away your hard earned money buying shit to impress the neighbors and people you don't like?
Advertise to criminals that you have more money than sense.
Learn to fly below the radar, do not attract the attention of criminals who desire what you have worked for.

All the numpties saying 'wait for the crims to turn up etc, think about it for 2 minutes, that will end in a very high speed pursuit through Bradford, putting lives at risk, just get the car out of the area on a flatbed is the safest way, use your loaf people, and well done to Richard's team tracking the thing down. Someone I know had his rare spec Passat pinched from the Bradford area, in the very same way, burglary just for the keys, sadly no tracker was fitted, and the car was gone forever. Trackers, and mechanical immobilisers are an absolute must on high value motors, removing relays etc so the car won't start, esp on 'keyless' vehicles, you have to think one step ahead of the scumbags

I thought we could have a little back and forth supposing why he might like the middle lane so much. Have you noticed that nobody admits to doing it, even though statistically that's Impossible?

2 Pet hates I have on a Motorway 1, middle lane hoggers, and 2 Rubbernecking, if flagrant middle lane hogging with no trafficking in slow lane should be a mandatory 3 pointer and Rubbernecking a 1 Month instant ban.

There are NO "SPARE" keys . . . Only DUPLICATE Keys.
Any spare keys may not be suitable for the purpose.
However DUPLICATE keys are Suitable. -- These are totally different to spare keys.
When you have a box of unknown assorted keys at home, THEY are spare keys .. and may not be of any use.
What you are talking is Common Street language which has little relevance to actual FACT or the LAW.
Law demands precise grammatically correct English ... Often called LEGALESE.

This car is literally like a huge piece of gold, you don't leave gold out side where everyone can see. Park these kind of cars in a garage with wheel protection and cover it.

It’s good that the tracking company physically go find your car straight away instead of calling police which could take years to find it in pieces
