I'm sure your a truly nice guy, but all of your videos you seem so insecure and your always trying to prove that your SVR or Lamborghini was the right choice. Then you get all insecure when you are around Tom and his brother and you can feel the pressure of trying to please them in your videos or get their approval. Just be you and stop worrying!

John Wood I'm not to worried about that other than he needs to stop making content all the time wondering if he bought the right vehicle and if he needs to upgrade it all the time. I think Tom has some good videos, but when he is on Archie's channel, he makes Archie feel like chump change and that he needs to always spend more than he should. I know they are good friends and it sounds like good fun most of the time, but repeatedly, I'm starting to wonder.

John Wood totally agree. Sadly I think Archie is a glutton for punishment and he will continue to get pushed around by Tom. And I think the brother is way cooler too!

The older one looks like the new one, I like the look of the circular exhausts a lot more and the appearance in general was more aggressive
Don’t doubt your cars! You’ve got some amazing ones. To be honest apart from the interior and a couple of outside bits I can’t tell much difference. They both look so good. Is just sight changes and I do like that silver colour!
Also Toms right the panoramic sunroof on some cars don’t open. My mums got one and hers doesn’t open at all! Gutted it doesn’t. Love them both and can’t go wrong with a RR SVR. Saw a all out black one the other day and it had so much presence I love it plus you got so much car for the money, a lot of times it’s almost better to buy not new that way the depreciation had happened. Would love to see it on a tracks that would be epic

People are always talking about reliability with the Range Rover. I have two RR Sports in the family and one is an SVR. The lease on both vehicles are almost up and we haven't experienced a single problem. It's 2019, stop with the reliability bull. All of these other suv's look the same. The Levante, BMW and the Porsche look the same as all three look like many other vehicles that you can lease for a couple hundred a month. Now the Bentayga. Keep your +25 HP and i'll take the SVR at half the price.
Why is no one mentioning the fact that... STOCK cars...
The new SVR is pushing 575bhp where the old one is 550bhp, the new one is also lighter due to carbon fibre parts and lighter interior items/seats etc...
Old SVR 0-60mph 4.7s
New SVR 0-60mph 4.2s
The new one is considerably quicker than the old one, not to mention the interior is far better... put same spec car next to the older one... that's a half a second quicker on the 0-60... let that sink in.
New SVR with Carbon Fibre interior and Exterior pack in Estoril Blue is by far better than the older one... and quicker ;)

I didn't think I'd like a Range Rover, but both of these look good. I prefer the blue one as the colour is fab and the after market exhaust is wicked (who made it?). Carbon fibre trim beats brushed aluminium too. If you can afford new fair enough, but used is always better value if you can find spec you like. I normally buy 1-2 year old cars for value, but my next car will be new as it's not yet been launched and I don't want to wait for a used one. I don't know about Range Rover panoramic roofs, but I once bought a Lexus RX450 with a panoramic roof (brand new and without seeing it) and didn't realise until I'd bought it that the roof wouldn't open as I also thought they always opened! Very annoying. I'm very impressed with the look of the SVR and enjoyed the video.
it doesn't really cost a fortune to change the lights and space the wheels properly as that's probably that I would change …..rest I would keep the same as its a lovely car

Hey Archie nice video and I happen to like your year of car versus the New Year of car because like they always say some are mods are not worth it your car has a better sound I better look interior wise and it looks practically almost the same on the outside your exhaust is 100% clean that sounds really good and if you wanted more stuff on it you could always go with the carbon fact that you get from urban

8:08 There is a fixed pano roof option in all Land rovers. Discovery Sport and Evoque can only have a metal roof or fixed glass, there is no option for the sliding pano.

The new one w the LED Tails/headlights looks ok but it sits to high off the ground. Archie’s looks like it’s lowered and therefore more GANGSTER😎, also the sound of the 16 w the Quicksilver exhaust CAN’T BE BEAT👍🏻👍🏻.

Great comparison Archie. I too have a blue 16 plate and now will be putting spacers on Ali g with 23” wheels and I reckon fixed side steps would look cool. Noting to be embarrassed about buying a 2 year old car when you take into account the deporeciation!!
New one - prefer the rear lights, awesome screens in the interior. Old one - prefer the wheels. Other stuff doesn't make that much difference really. Either way, awesome cars! Really hope Land Rover don't drop the V8 for the next gen Sport (like they're rumoured to be doing)

I worked on the seats for the 16MY AND 18MY and you might think they're similar but the 18MY seats have a magnesium back frame and the front seats alone save nearly 10kg in the car..... So there you have it..... Not just cosmetic....

2016 RR Sport HSE Diesel V6
2014 RR Sport Supercharged V8
2022 RR Velar R-DYNAMIC S
I liked the 2022 Velar interior and technology the most. Amazing handling up in the canyons off Pacific Coast HWY in southern California! Plenty of pep and get up & go.
That said, I like a bigger vehicle so the 2014 RR Sport SUPERCHARGED V8 was my favorite! The horsepower & sound made me smile every time I touched the gas pedal and fired it up!
You’ll want the fixed glass panoramic roof, the sliding versions seem to always; break, leak, squeak or generally annoy the owners.
Fixed glass panoramic roofs are the way to go (as long as either version has the sliding cover, you’ll want the cover or you’ll freeze 🥶)
Also when being pushed yours is more tail happy than the new one due to AWD/ rear diff tuning
New one has stepped up the game externally alittle but the interior is another level, chaos lad!!!!

When you know how to over ride the active exhaust system on a MY18> it is as loud as the MY15> SVR .
Yours is an irrelevant comparison due to having aftermarket system. Too loud for my taste as well . The standard system is perfect with the valves fully open
The only thing looking better on the new one is the lights in my opinion. Your car is great👌
I've had both 2016 and 2018, ended with a 2019 Autobiography, personally Autobiography has better seats with nearly the same SVR exhaust sound, but you saved a ton of money and made the right choice. One thing your friends didn't mention is that for the 2018 there is a quite few software issues with the screens. My RRS was in the shop 3 times for updates. Also the 2018 RRS SVR did not come with Apple Airplay (Smartphone Package) so your friend missed out on that, 2019 does, also what both of you are missing out on is the Meridian Signature Sound System (1700W), yes I know you love the exhaust sound, but if you like listening to music and yes it is a $5000 option it's worth every penny IMO. Look your SVR is a great car, you're driving a $100K+ car for nearly 1/2 the cost and the differences are not that huge. Your biggest downfall is when you go to sell it, you will be taking a hit, these RRS SVR, Auto and HSE all have one thing in common, the value drops quicker than a boat anchor at sea LOL ..
I mean when buying a used one like this man did, it really isn't gonna dip much after (since it already dropped when leaving the driveway new)...maybe 10k depreciation a year? Which is acceptable. However his friend with the new SVR is gonna take a hit!
Lots of factors to consider, miles, remaining warranty, and options/ condition etc..

So just to clarify some stuff.
There’s a difference between 18MY and 19MY which means the 19MY Has the GPF which is slightly quieter.
18MY+ has a much more sophisticated electrical architecture, which incorporates the new features. Software updates are available for the screens etc.
The brakes are the same brakes just with different stickers on them.
The chassis is more refined on 18+
Personally 17MY + with Apple CarPlay activated would be good value for money. If you fancy the gizmos then go for the 18/19.

I'm very Lucky because I have the perfect combination of both models. I have the original SVR black carbon edition, with latest carbon hood, double touch last generation screens, newest from grill but previous headlights which is better like than latest ones front and back. And the most important thing the original and authentic SVR sound because last version is not as good because land rover engineers were forced to meet exhaust regulations. Cheers!

Get 2018 front and rear lights, don’t get aftermarket ones as won’t last and probably let water in etc.

8:08 - the car in the back seat is correct. Not all SVR’s have sliding panoramic roof.
There are also some that dont even have a panoramic roof 👍🏼

Good video. Ignore the haters. Usually those are people who can't afford what you are talking about. I recently drove the 2019 SVR (live in the USA) and the new touch screen was a deal killer. Too hard to use and change anything on the car while driving. So I went a got a 2017 same color as yours. Has every option including upgraded Meridian but no auto step. Cost new was $127,000 U.S. Dollars. Had 45k miles on it and got it for $69000. Great car. Gets a lot of attention and questions and fun to drive. As for reliability, I have a 2013 RR sports supercharged with no problems. If you are spending this kind of money for a car, you should be able to afford a repair if it does happen. Want a car to worry about, then that is BMW. Have had many and any made in the last decade will leak eventually. RR supercharged has 113k miles and no leaks whatsoever. Keep up the good work.
