Amazing! I think I said already that I’m going to start this course in or about September. Watching the project grow over the weeks has been fascinating and I’m looking forward to making a start. But deep respect to you and everyone who’s done it; precision and patience are everything ! 😆 Thank you so much for all the time you’ve spent planning and making this series Izzy. Xx
Thank you so much Shelly! It does require patience and precision and funny enough, that’s why I find quilting so relaxing LOL I love that when my brain is engaged in a quilting project, it can’t focus on any of the work “issues” or anything else. I hope you do get started on it in September and let me know how it goes!
Izzy this was just brilliant! Over the last few weeks I could not get my head around how it was all going to come together and this video explains it so clearly . I’ve finished mine off and I’m delighted with it!! Thank you!!!
Isn't he adorable?! He can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but he's so cute! LOL The first time I made a QAYG quilt, I was also taught to handstitch the sashing strips to the front, but my handstitching isn't great so it came undone. I much prefer machine sewing it down. And you could even get fancy and do some fun stitches that complement the free-motion quilting!
Really enjoyed watching how you joined those blocks. Wow what a process with the seam allowances being so slightly varied and tiny. You have to be soooo accurate. 😅 Nice to see you bear 🐈⬛ xxx
I've been watching some quilting content on occasion, ever since I saw the intro for this series, and I just couldn't wrap my head around how the blocks were going to join up when they were already sewn to the backing fabric. I've been waiting for this episode for the "Aha! So that's how it's done!" moment. It was as interesting as I thought it would be. 🙂 I haven't started mine yet, but I hope to start on it sometime in the next month or so. I already know I want it to be a wall hanging, and I was wondering if you might talk about some ways to do that, perhaps in the binding video, once the quilt is finished. Thanks so much for this series. It made quilting feel so much more approachable to me. Also, I loved the cat cameo appearances!
I believe it is better to go through all the blocks and find the one with the smallest measurement. Then square the remaining blocks to that (smallest) size. Thank you very much for sharing.
Thanks for sharing such details for making this method of quilting.
My pleasure 😊
Great tutorial thank u so much
You’re welcome 😊

@@dizzyquiltsandsews it’s just brilliant Izzy! Thank you
Such a cute photo-bomber! Great tutorial. I had been taught another way, but yours is more efficient, and involves no handsewing!

Thank you Carole! Yes, you do have to be very precise which is a bit of a pain if I'm being honest LOL xx

Thank you so much for watching! I will definitely try to cover how to hang a quilt in the binding video. I'm glad you enjoyed Bear's cameo LOL
