Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I have only used this as my primary carry on, I imagine it could work as a personal item on some larger airlines but if you pack it out fully it might get a little big to be able to fit under the seat
Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience! I definitely think the straps could be improved and they are more narrow than I would like, but for the smaller size thankfully it hasn't been a problem for me just yet haha and that's a good point about the internal organization, I thought it was really well done! =)
Thank you for watching and good question! Unfortunately there is no dedicated water bottle pocket on this one. Hope that helps and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Thank you for watching and that’s a good question! I definitely agree that companies use liters pretty inconsistently haha I think they can hold a pretty similar amount, as far as what I stored in the main area of this bag. So the gr1 could likely hold the packing cubes and maybe an extra pair of small shoes. This bag however, I think can still hold a little more due to the additional front compartments that offer some additional volume. On the GR1 you really only have one large storage area and then the front slant compartment which is very thin and the laptop compartment. On the topo bag that larger compartment on the front of the main compartment opens flat which allows you to store a nice amount of stuff as well if you have other accessories you need to take with you. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag :)
@@dannypacks Cheers! I own a Gr1 and was wondering if it was worth selling it to get a topo designs? the GR1 comfort is killer, does the topo hold up with weight in it and comfortable not having a frame sheet and as beefy straps?
@@n7955 If you like the GR1s comfort it may be tough to move to the Topo as it is not going to be the same experience especially with a heavier load. I think the Topo does a good job for its size and price range, but the Gorucks comfort and support is definitely going to be better and I think think the tradeoffs would not be worth the move to the topo imo Even though its a little pricier it might be more worth selling the GR1 to get a 34L GR2. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer =)
Like you make shots with the bag in all the carrying modes. And you use the same stuff to pack so we can compare bags. Is the topo 30L a lot smaller then the 34L Tortuga setout devide. Witch one would you choose of the 2 bags. For EDC and clothes for 4 nights 10 times a year. Thanks
Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I'm glad the videos have been helpful and those are definitely two great options! The topo is a little smaller than the setout divide (but its a pretty small difference and I can fit about the same amount of stuff, I just have a little bit of leftover space in the setout) and I would prefer the Topo bag a little bit more for EDC just because the harness system on the setout divide is pretty bulky so it feels like overkill to take the bag with me on a daily basis. With that being said, the straps and back panel on the Setout divide are much more comfortable especially for travel use and its nice that it comes with a thick and padded removable waist belt. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags =)
I would never put a laptop up against my back in a bag of this size. Very likely to put pressure on the screen and damage it inadvertently. But, companies continue to put them there 😩
Thank you for watching and that is a fair concern! Although I haven’t had any issues with this one it’s something I worry about on a lot of travel bags especially when they start to get more full!
Thank you for watching! You can purchase this on the Top Designs website and I have also included a link in the description for the video to the specific page for this bag. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag =)
Thank you for watching! Not sure if you've already seen Bo Ismono's review of the 40L version of this bag. He is a little bit shorter and that is a taller version of this bag so it may give a better idea of how this bag might look. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag =)
You speak a lot! Would love to have shots where you can just nicely observe the capacity of a pocket maybe with some discreet music, but we don't need you to tell us what can possibly fit in each and every pocket... I ended up exhausted (real story). Good review though, thank you.
Thank you for watching and for the feedback! I can definitely understand, as I'm going through certain areas of different bags even I feel like I am throwing too much out there haha I am definitely continuing to work on tightening up the videos a bit to make them easier and more enjoyable to watch without losing any important details =)
I took this with me to Turkey twice. Extremely reliable and the color inside helps you find your items at night. Great buy!!
Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience with the bag! Glad to hear it has worked out so well!:)
Thanks for pointing out the clips for other topo bags! Was wondering about those
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)
Great review!! Love all your relevant information, very good advice!

Excellent review, thanks. You sold me on this.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I hope you enjoy using the bag a lot!:)
Great review, cheers!

Hello Danny, were you able to use this as a personal item at all? Thanks for all the info on this bag. 👍

got the same colour 40l, the straps feels cheap, one good thing is there are many internal pockets so you don't need packing cubes.

How wide is it when packed out, would it be over 7.8"?
Is the backpack coated with water resistant? Where can I find this information?
Probably, but it’s 1000D nylon, so you’re good.
Did I miss it? Is there no water bottle pocket?
Thank you for watching and good question! Unfortunately there is no dedicated water bottle pocket on this one. Hope that helps and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)
Hi,Compared to a Gr1 26 would you fit about the same amount of stuff in there?. Litres is not consistent across companies.

Traveling Salseros cheers! Appreciate it.

1.2 Kg is a lot for a 30L backpack, my 32L is 0.8 Kg.
Thank you for watching and that’s a fair point! Always a tough balance between durability and weight for sure!
Why is it that none of these reviewers ever provide basic info like dimensions?
How do I buy this bag?
