    I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the uploads with Lauren. She is so clear and concise, the videos do not run too long and she is a wonderful presenter.
    Regarding Topo. For the past year I've considered Katmandu, Topo Design, Cotopaxi, and Thule.
    My go-to bags that I already have include Osprey, Gregory, Timbuk2, Cabin One (for quik trips) and Deuter.
    I do not actually 'need' another bag, but I seem to have a serious bag addiction after a lifetime of travel . Every bag I have has features that I choose for different types of travel so I'm always looking. Every time I see a new review or video I change my mind once again.
    At one point I did not care for the colorful design of Topo and it seemed to just stand out as a very millennial type of design (form over function) (?). Then I saw that it comes in black.
    This review definitely points out the features which@ I look for in a 40 l one-bag travel pack...... bumping the Katmandu out of first place.

      Thank you for all the kind words 😃 They mean the world to us-Lauren included!
      Do you think you’ll end up trying this pack? You brought up a ton of great points. We dig the color options on this one, too.

    My favorite bag! I have the green too. It's honestly so difficult to choose between it and the Topo Core Pack, but they're both great.

      @@PaulHo nice! How does core pack compared to the global travel 30? I feel like I can pack more clothes in the core pack, because the main compartment is deeper! I don't know if I should upgrade to the global travel 30 for more space, or just stick to the core pack!

    • @PaulHo
      @PaulHo 2 роки тому

      @@jellyvo just different uses, the Global Travel has all the great dividers and compartments built-in where you'd want packing cubes of your own with the Core Pack. It's nice if you don't have a lot of miscellaneous things that need a place of their own.

    thank you for the detailed video as all in your super channel 🙂

    I have a Rocky Mountain Underground 40L Luggage Briefcase. It's a beast, a workhorse & there not about it that I don't like. I've been shopping around for one, this one seems to fall short. What are other options on the market???

    Having this I am contemplating a Cabin Zero Adv 32L which is lighter. Helps in reducing base weight for carry on only, I hope.

    Hey there Pack Hackers! I have a first gen version of this bag and it's pretty solid. Does this newer version feature a flosting laptop sleeve? The first gen did not. I can live without the bottle pockets but a banged up lappy is a hard thing to accept.

    How do these fit underneath the seat of airlines? Think it will work for most domestic and international airlines underneath the seat? Looking for a medium size personal bag for this reason.

    Do you think this would work well putting a 17" laptop on the inside as opposed to the dedicated section that only fits 15" laptops? I'm looking into a decent quality travel/laptop bag and considering this one.

    • @PackHacker2
      @PackHacker2  2 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately, we don’t have a 17-inch laptop to test this with! It might be worth trying to find one in a store to test it with.

    I notice tho your LACKING completely on Maxpedition gear..
    There is more than just "tactical". Bags from this brand
    They are a few other lines and series that are semi tactical and completely *grey*
    And caled down
    I have used the stuff for over 10 years and they are absoloutly bomb proof hard use gear.
    I recommend a few bags/ organizers/ ect
    Sorry for sending you down ANOTHER rabbit hole

    a travel bag without lockable zippers,...

    • @jimdee2499
      @jimdee2499 Рік тому +1

      The zipper pulls can be threaded though the loops for a pretty solid theft deterrent. Let's be real. If someone wants to get into a backpack they will find away. Most deterrents, including locking zippers, will stop casual theft but that's about it.

    I bought a Topps Design several months ago...
    It was around the $150 area..
    It looked like and felt like a $25 dollar grown up kids Walmart brand bag..
    Seriously....
    Why don't you take 6-7 other same size and $$ bags that are out there
    I know that within the last few years you did reviews on those..
    But,
    Do a side by side comparison..
    Comparing features...
    Layout...
    Materials and function and price...
    Let the viewers decide...
    After they see for themselves
    all the bags all together...
    I have and had several $125-250 quality travel backpacks and duffeld and luggage over my 35 years of traveling for the national
    American Red Cross all over the world..
    Topps Design is the bottom of the bottom when compared to all others in the price range..
    Blessings
    Greg

      Topo is one of my favorite brands and their Core Pack is my favorite pack that I own. The #10 YKK zippers that they use are a huge stand out to me and nothing like a Walmart bag. They also make packs that are not overloaded with features so they are often light as well, which I appreciate. Agree to disagree.

      I have the Topo 30L (v1) in black, and I was always impressed by the build quality. The fabric, zips, and hardware are excellent. If anything is lacking it's some of the design choices like small bottle pockets, small laptop opening, etc.

      I have three Topo bags. Don’t know why you’d say they are like Walmart bags.

    • @retrovelcro
      @retrovelcro 2 роки тому +4

      The newer Topo bags have recycled nylon, so maybe the feel of the material is reminding you of cheaper/Walmart bags. But even with the lighter feel material, their bags are still durable, imo. I also have many classic and newer Topo bags. All great. Minimal with fun colors.
