Seventeen years ago I was the first woman graduated as Aircraft Mechanic Engineer in my city (Brasilia, the capital of Brazil). I tried to get a job in my area but despite my passion and experience in aviation (in other areas), I never got the chance of going for that. Lots of sexism, lots of fear from all the managers of airlines to put the first new graduated at the runway. Then I had a very premature baby and left my career to be a 24/7 mom. Fast forward... it's 2024, I'm living in Canada and just finished my diploma equivalency in Aircraft Mechanic Engineer and finally, after 17 years I'm trying to get back to aviation and pick up from where I left. And everything I needed to listen I just listened from you on this podcast. Thank you. 🙏🏻 You have no idea how necessary you are in people's life.

My grammy moment would be celebrating a successful bakery business and buying my forever home at the age of 55. Single mom just trying to survive at the moment, but I have this seed planted in my mind that I can bake my way into a home thats my own, bought and paid for with my own sweat and tears and maybe a few burnt cookies. My whole life I've lived for my kids, my ex husband and everyone else around me. Sacrificed any notion of a career by marrying young and raising kids, one with autism, to be divorced at 45 and having to start over. I've floundered the past 8 years...trying to find my way but I think I know what I have to do now. Thank you Mel for this reminder, that I can and SHOULD do this!

I'm a baker as well. And am raising 3 grandkids (and one is 2!) and been through what you've described. You can do this! I'm 59 and opening a furniture consignment store and it seems unreal and overwhelming at times, but I'm in the process!! We can, especially with Mel's help and the belief in ourselves! ❤ Sending yummy cookies your way!! 😂

In my late 30s, only doing 9-5 office work, I made a big decision to start an online business as a side hustle, after 7 months now, I'm actually losing money. Of course, I'm frustrated and unhappy but I definitely learned things I had never known, and feeling stronger trying new things again. I'm still not sure how things will go and sometimes I feel like what I'm doing, doubling myself if it takes me anywhere, but I'm just doing it, keep doing it, and we will see! at least it won't leave me wondering how it would've gone and retreat I never tried.

That's what's so tough is that some people don't have the support at home to pick them up and remind them of how great they are on their bad days. Maybe this singer she mentioned had a wealth of friends and family who always told her how great she was. Most people without deep connections and support systems can not sustain almost two decades of "not making it." Add in kids and illnesses/injuries-it's too much! Liz, know that on your hardest days, there are other people in similar shoes as yours trying to make it too. Hopefully this helps you feel less alone and more seen for the truth of your reality!

hi Mel. I’m 12 minutes into your video and I felt the desire to suggest something for you. Maybe a direction for your supplements or the first tier could be a multiple organic mushroom powder/capsule. Mushrooms are becoming huge presently. They have a lot of research out there that they help with everything from anti-cancer, which is incredible for women, especially women trying to prevent or heal breast cancer. And then you have your lions made mushrooms who have been proven to improve and heal Nuro transmitters and cognitive issues. With a little research you could create a multi mushroom capsule that would definitely improve the health, and lives of millions of women potentially.they even did a study in Asia that prove that women that even ate the most common Ulery mushrooms like button mushrooms. Once a week had half the breast cancer rates compared to women who never ate mushrooms. Best of luck with that! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Darling Mel (and Friends), you have helped me so much! I absolutely love these metaphors relating to plants, flowers, trees! I am learning the importance of dropping my leaves in order to survive and thrive, as you explained so clearly in an earlier podcast. This image will be with me for the rest of my life and it completely reinforces some of the hardest lessons I am learning about living more fully. Thank you again and again!!
I am a professional gardener and want to share this little bit of info about tulips (also daffodils) in a vase, so to prevent drooping as long as possible. The stems need to be fully saturated with water all the way up to the bloom top. You can lay them flat in water in something the size of a casserole dish, or even turn them upside down and pour water into the stem. Then, placing your finger over the cut edge, turn the stem right-side up and place it in the vase. Try not to remove your fingertip until the cut edge is a little under the water in the vase. (This is similar to re-cutting certain flowers, roses in particular, under water to prevent air from sealing off the cellular structure of the stem.)
Placing the vase of spring blooms in the fridge at night will also lengthen the vase life of the flowers. Really hope this will be useful to you and your viewers.
    We Love You Too Mel🌷❤🌷❤🌷❤

I am a Director with 55 employees and you start my day while I am on the treadmill earlyyyyyy in the morning, to fill my bucket and get my brain thinking so I can start my day as a better me. If I don’t do this, I don’t pass on positive energy and leadership vibes very well, and I do this because you encouraged me to make this happen.
Funny story, I wear a necklace with an acorn on it as a tribute to my amazing parents who have passed, as a reminder of the strength they exhibited every day, no matter how tough life became. THANK YOU for being the incredible YOU!!! #MelRobinsRocks #Acornsmakeoaktrees

I have ambition, but I'm stuck in a high conflict relationship and I have a high emotional needs toddler. I'm exhausted. I barely function for the bare minimum 😔

Funny, I use this same metaphor of sowing seeds and identifying what environment you need to establish in order to grow with a mentoring program I facilitate for middle school girls. I’m a licensed therapist and a podcaster as well. Hearing Mel Robbins say almost exactly what I teach is mind blowing. My grammy moment is hosting a TED talk. I’ve got work to do. Thanks Queen! Tune into Crown Thoughts Podcast! I’d love to inspire you as well 👑✨

My Grammy moment is get my UA-cam channel and teach people how to drive in their own vehicle…my style is really comprehensive, my back ground is in transportation as a bus driver, but I down size all DMV requirements for new and practiced drivers how to pass their drive test. I believe it will be a hit on UA-cam for the Portland, metropolitan area… I really think soon I’ll do that. ❤😊

Hi, Mel. I love listening to your podcast! Every time I do I feel this incredible pull that there is something bigger or more important I am being called to do. My struggle is that I have no idea what that thing is but I know in my heart there is something big I am meant to be a part of. Do you have any advice on how to find that “thing”?
