music sheet of favorite song Nights in White Satin, old poster, satin material dipped to form on canvas, maybe old concert tickets, lettering Birmingham 1964. A deconstructed shadow Box on Canvas.
Thank you so much Treesie, sometimes I'm surprised at all the different techniques that I still have to explore. I'm not sure where I'm headed from here. 💜
How creative. LOVE ❤️ . I enjoy watching you explore with mixed medium pieces. The guitar was a super cool focal point to build from. Thinking of a Moody Blues piece that I might like to try with this technique.
Hello Tiffany, I admire your capabilities to work on so many different types of art and always with amazing results 😍 greetings from Spain 🇪🇸 Pd I always give you my like 😊
You know something funny about me, typically when I try something for the first time .... sometimes I struggle when I try it again because I tend to over think it. Let's see what happens 😉
Tiffany, sorry to say I'm Glad you haven't found "your style" yet! I'm Loving all the Different styles you're doing. I've never given collage a thought, but I Sure am now! This is Beautiful 😍 If I could afford shipping, I'd buy this. Lots of love to you!
I am jumping out of my skin with excitement to try this style of art. I LOVE collage, but rarely do it (learning to paint). Your creation is amazing. SO inspirational!!!🌈❤🧡💛💚💙💜Thank you!🙏
Thank you so much Jan, I'm actually sitting in France listening to my puppy snore while I tear out magazine images, and imagining my next piece. Can't wait to get home and get started!
Wow! I had no idea you were going to create a guitar with the the stencils. Very creative Tiffany and I like how you tied it all together with the words, music sheets and guitar. I love it!! ❤
Thanks so much Paula 😊 kind of like the surprise of the flower heads, you never knew until the end what she would look like (tbh, I never did either 😉)
FANTASTIC COLLAGE!!!! Love the layers. Just what I was looking for in a tutorial. Someone gave me 18x24 canvas and I'm thinking about collaging it?? Have you ever did one that size? I would like your input. I just subscribed to your website. TU
Hi Tiffany, I was rewatching this one today because I love it so much. When you use modeling paste or gesso to give texture, how do you finish it off? Do you varnish? If so, glossy or matte? Thanks for continuing to inspire me.
I typically varnish to add that extra layer of protection since it's collage. Now gloss level is up to you, I usually prefer a satin ... middle of the road. However sometimes depending on the interest of the texture and how vibrant I want the colour to be I have used gloss. Matte is just not my thing typically. Hope that helps?
Agreed! I struggle sometimes getting it right and then I never really know until I go to edit. This is the first time I ever did collage and I wish I would have stopped and thought about trying to pick up the details. Thanks for the honest feedback Kris.
glueing down with wrinkles and bubbles i don't do art I'm an armchair utuber I see other artist doing their best for a smooth flat appearance are they trying too hard??
Well in all honesty it's paper and its getting wet, it virtually impossible to get it wrinkle free. On some level I just embrace the imperfection of the surface finish.
What are your thoughts about collage? Let me know!
