Let me know if you want another video with a full tutorial on how I use the Polyfiber. Knowing what I know now I would have done a different composition, so if that is interesting drop me a comment!
11 months later and me too 😆 totally agree with you. I lol’d lots..love your energy and especially your perseverance 😂 I would have gesso’d it ages ago. You’ve inspired me..I’ll save a fortune on gesso 😁🙏☘️💚
No turkey here Tiffany, I don't know how you can turn burnt polyfiber paper into an incredible piece of art. No matter how you turn it, it looks amazing. You go girl, you are fearless❣
This first stuff you’re using is tyvek-what the postal service and other companies make those soft mailing envelopes from.(way cheaper or free if you save those)
The growing pains ..... why is everything so hard when learning new things? You look at something and then you start and it's like ..... this is more difficult than I thought 😉
Well I look at it this way .... if it sucks I will probably learn a lot. In fact I learn more when I screw up as opposed to the times it works out perfectly, because when that happens, I struggle to repeat it 😉
Wow Tiffany you are not afraid of trying new things and I love this about your art. I’ll be honest, I love this, apart from the purple bit in the centre. It looks good any way up you show it. Well don’t my lovely on another great piece 👌🏽👍🏽
It's funny about the purple .... it needed something, but I wonder if I had gone with more of a gray purple. I might try one day if I can figure out the right gray/purple hue 🤔 sometimes that's where I struggle ... I mix a few colours thinking I will get the right colour and rarely does that work out, instead I discover a new colour instead 😉
Love it. Love all the different textures and how you brought it all together with layers n layers of colors, your bestie gesso n woody. Id love to see more with the fiber paper n a close up of it on this fab work. ❤
Hi Tomasina, I actually posted some close up pics in a community post this morning here on my channel, of the texture including the polyfiber. Also the natural light showing the sheen of the prizm pour compared to the more matte finish on the rest of the piece, please feel free to check that out and let me know what you think! I will do a follow up using the paper now that I know what I can expect. I so wasn't prepared when I made this one at all .... however I'm never prepared, if I'm totally honest I just get lost in the moment and forget about the cameras and the lighting.
I like the portrait layout but it’s interesting either way. Love the purple in the center and the contrast with the gold-ish tones. Is the tissue paper different from the type you stuff gift bags with? Could you use colored tissue instead? Just wondering because I can’t see myself painting tissue paper without a huge mess. Great job once again!❤
Hey Paula, the tissue paper is the cheap gift wrap stuff. I may try the more expensive stuff in the future as I understand it holds up better to water, but so far I've only used regular tissue paper. You could definitely use coloured tissue paper, the only reason I don't, using white enables me to make any colour I want rather than have a ton of colours on hand. And you are right it makes a mess because you have to find a place for it to dry! Next time I make a bunch I will post a pic, I have it hanging all over the studio lights around my table 🙄
@@TiffanyRemijnArt yes, you’re right. I didn’t think about creating custom colors. What you’re doing takes a lot of time and patience. Yes post a pic and keep creating!
You are so hard on yourself, but in a funny self deprecating way that I can totally relate to!😂❤ It's beautiful 😍 I actually like the yellow at the top left in portrait. In landscape the purple reminds me too much of a military tank... maybe commissioned by Violet Beauregarde 😂 it shoots blueberries😂🤣 💕
I always get totally absorbed in your videos. You have to definitely burn more stuff and do at least 5 more videos a day for us. There are just not enough!!!!! 😂
Trust me I would love to that Alison! (maybe not 5 a day) but my channel would have to grow exponentially and I haven't been able to figure out what I need to do better 🤔
Hahaha, trust me lately I want to throw everything out the window! I feel like I'm going through that stage where everything goes wrong and I just need to persevere and figure out how to make it work 🤪
I could be wrong but it seemed like you were in your “head” from the beginning not letting your intuition flow. Of course that is just my opinion you can take it or leave it.💜😊
No doubt Teresa .... I try to be aware when I get like that and attempt to walk away, clear my head and come back with a different perspective. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. 😉 sometimes the biggest struggle is because when the mood hits me, I have to turn on cameras etc as opposed to just getting into the moment and then I get in my head again 🤦🏻♀️
Why didn't youjust take some of the white tissue paper and put the color on it, but when you apply it to the canvas; use it to make texture in that large corner. It needs some more texture, less color. Just my opinion, I love the colors it already had.
One question: did you put a gloss medium on this piece to finish it? It looked to have a sheen when you placed it on the easel. I too like textured paper, and recently watched some videos about felting mulberry paper -- you may like that too.
Actually, no I have not .... what is giving it the sheen is the Prizm Pour Ginger Snap by ColourArte and I typically water down my paint with pouring medium not water and that tends to give a gloss as well. Does that make sense? Thanks for the tip about the mulberry paper! I'm looking that up now.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Sometimes as an artist, you just play amd see where it takes you, that's creativity. Not everything is planned ....

Absolutely ❤
For whatever reason, I feel upon your videos, & absolutely love your personality!, & your burnt fiber paper!!! 😍😂✌️🥰💖

This piece went through so many ugly stages 🤦🏻♀️but I'm glad I burnt it, I actually liked what it did, so I may just continue to burn it 😉
@@TiffanyRemijnArt Yes do, the texture on the paper turned out really cool.
You are so much fun! And bravo! Any way will do!

This is something very beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching, glad you like it!
Tiffany, it seems you had a lot of fun and surprises 🥰😄😄, and what came out at the end was special. We want more. I like the vertical orientation 💗
Well next video which I'm editing now is a messy beginning as usual, but I am experimenting again .... 😉
Wow, what a beautiful piece, great art! You are funny to listen to and so talented. It makes me feel good! Thank you🙂
Thank you so much Chantel, I just got back from vacation so I will start paint again and posted new content soon!
At first I thought “oh my, where is this going”… and than suddenly you created another piece of STUNNING! artwork🥰
At first?! I was wondering that the entire time! 😂
Really like your art it is stunning art 😊work

Another WOW! Girl, you suck at nothing. Always inspirational....even when teaching what not to do and then how to fix.
I think I'm best at sharing what not to do that's for sure! But burning polyfiber was a win for me 🤪
@@TiffanyRemijnArt but now you know. you prevented gazillions from the same error and understanding a solution and sharing. I for one, am grateful.
You are very funny and your work is great. 😊
Wow, thank you!
Tiffany, sometimes they make you work for them! This is beautiful! I like the vertical orientation better!
Thank you so much and it appears that the overwhelming preference is the vertical!
Loving these growing pains!!! Amazing results each time! 😍❤️❤️❤️

This was so cool Tiffany! I like it in the landscape orientation. Gorgeous piece! 😍💕
That Polyfiber paper thou 😍, I was so not sure how to use it, but I ended up really loving it!
Beautiful! For me, vertical orientation 👌😍

You did it well at the end 😅
Sometimes it takes a lot of rework 😉
You need to use the Gelli plate for easier control of brayer and color there are large Gelli plates for your work.
Thanks for confirming that buying a gelling plate was the right move. I have one, still in the packaging 🤦🏻♀️
first time I watched your video!!! you are so funny!!! love it. Also, it's the first comment I ever posted on UA-cam.

Constructive criticism is one thing ....
I just don’t get a sense of planning or composition
