This was my first video of your......have you tried watercolors for your washes....I needs to try some collage really love her how cute your eyes turned out and I love the bubble and hair too.....she looks so fun....thx for inspiring!!!
Oh Wow Tiffany! She is well worth the wait! Love how the different color washes turned out. Cute how the pink circle looks like she is blowing a bubble. I'm going to Have to watch again. Always Catch more the second time. Make as many of these as you'd like. I'm blown away be how creative you are! Well done! 😍👏
Thank you Carol! Yes, I'm a huge fan of black sides especially if you want it ready to hang. Typically I mix black and phaylo blue together for a dark ink colour as opposed to straight up black. It's a personal preference of course, but I also find it adds depth to the piece for some reason, I know it's on the sides and maybe it's an optical illusion or I'm delusional .... could go either way 😉
@@TiffanyRemijnArt The black and blue sound great! I do this for fun and I have been trying texture paste and it was hard to make the sides a matching color to the painting. I really love collage and did a suit case with dolls on it to match my porcelain doll I painted. Your so much fun and interesting to watch!
I agree trying to get the sides to match is really hard and black goes with everything so it's my go to! On occasion I have used a van dyke brown mixed with the black and that works as an alternative if the blue black isn't quite right. I'm really new to collage, so any advice even though you only do it for fun is welcome that's for sure! Thanks Carol and see I hope you join me in my next collage video, just finishing the editing, I would love to know what you think!
Oh my gosh! This is super cute! I love the dirty water idea! I'm a no waste type of person, so I LOVE that idea! Can't wait to try some of your tips! ❤
@TiffanyRemijn I'm actually starting a collage of my dog now! I just glued down a printed out photo first because it's layers on the canvas anyway. I'm so excited to see how it will turn out using some of these tips ❤️
So, I really enjoyed watching you through the stages of this piece. I am a RH junkie. Like minds and a wave length. I even had them send some updated books after your first COL. You are one the most creative I have met. I loved the first one and the second was awesome. Mixed Media all the way.. 🎉
I miss wandering around RH, touching everything. I think it's been at least 10 yrs since I've been in the store. Next visit states side, it's that, J. Alexander's for a Tillimook Cheeseburger, Capital Grill for a Stoli Doli and for dessert The Cheescake Factory for their Red Velvet Cheesecake 😋
Well done Tiffany this turned out beautifully. a quote by W. Clement Stone "Whatever the mind can conceive it can achieve ". Raoul Hausmann was the cofounder of the Berlin Dada movement in1917 and the creator of photomontage in the following year. Photomontage is the art of arranging and glueing photographs or other found illustrative material, (collage). The Modern Masters Braque, Picasso, etc and many more that have used collage, have done wonders to evolve the collage technique. I love this piece Tiffany . A quote that Lisa from Harmony House shared with us from John Muir that I want share with you: "The power of imagination makes us infinite." Collage is so fun and endless if you have the imagination . And you got it girl well done 😍👌🏻👍🏻.
Interesting I never thought about it .... but you're right I feel like what I created is a combination or a cross between collage and photomontage. I find the photomontage much more challenging and the most fun aspect. In fact I already started another piece, I'm undecided on how to approach certain elements .... like the hair. I'm debating if I want to paint it or collage. (I've never painted hair before, I guess there is first time for everything). Thanks for sharing Lisa's quote, she's so thoughtful. I don't always catch her videos but when I do I always catch the description knowing she's added a quote in there somewhere. In the meantime I'm going to explore and learn about photomontage ..... down the rabbit hole I go!
Hi Tiffany, mod podge is a wet glue, like matt medium. Sometimes you can get less buckling with a dry glue (ie..glue sticks). Other thing you could try is a thicker paper like a lighter watercolour paper that holds water better. But..i LOVE you collage...thank you for the inspiration!!!
Tiffany! What a masterpiece! I love her, especially the details you added like the tendrils of hair and those lashes. I see now why we haven’t seen you for a while. That was a great deal of work. ❤❤❤
I love this so much! It is so inspiring. I cant believe this is only your 4th piece. I'm going to give this a try. Thank you for sharing what you've learned. ❤ Debbie
I found you through this video, and am so happy I did that I had to sub! This piece is absolutely gorgeous! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Now I have to try this in a smaller sketchbook...can't wait to get started! Thank you for this video and the inspiration you created for me! ♥
Thanks so much, but I have to say the larger they are the longer they take, but the easier they because you can use large images .... if that makes sense?
@@TiffanyRemijnArt I tear my paper into tiny pieces & then use it like paint but you’ve inspired me to try whole images next time!! It might make a huge difference to the time & overall effect too!
So glad, I'm to develop the habit of doing fussy cutting ahead of time when I just need a distraction in the evening and nothing else to do .... you know instead of eating, as that's my go to when I'm bored! 😉
Brand new to you’re channel so I know nothing about you yet but I’m in love with this piece you made. I’m an artist just starting collage because it resonates with me so much. I’m wondering do you sell you’re collages? Do you find a market for it? Thanks for the video, will go watch some more now. ❤
Interesting that you ask, I've only made 4 collages so far so I'm still learning so I haven't sold any or even tried at this point. Now you and I like collage .... so that leads me to believe there is a market. Both Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque are the famous painters who brought collage-work into the spotlight so its definitely an old as time technique. I agree there is something about it that resonates for me too .... however if I'm honest there are some types of collage (junk journaling or art journally) that just aren't my thing.
That's what I use now, I had no idea what to use when I tried making a collage for the first time from a magazine.....you are so right, it's like night and day!
Hhmm why some of the UA-camrs don't know how to put their camera angle correctly 😭this make dizzy, like I watching it at my toe tips while I'm standing😭😭😭😭😭
Wow Tiff, it's always so cool to watch you create and to see how far you have come in your art journey!☺ I always enjoy watching your videos, your witty comments and your thinking process!🤗 Ty 4 always sharing and I absolutely love THIS!🙏 She is so kick a$$!🤩 Love it!!!🙌 xox P.s. Did you get a new camera or phone or have my eyes become sharper some how?😅 The beginning of the video looked so crisp!👌😊
Thank you so much Jessica. It's actually easier to position the cameras (when I remember) for this type of art as opposed to when I do fluid art. Pouring goes too fast and I use large canvases so trying to get the entire canvas in focus all the time can be difficult when you are all alone without a ton of cameras to capture a million angles and close ups like some of the larger channels have. Now I won't always get it right, but I'm trying to figure it out .... its hard to master all the skills to be a content creator when you're an artist first and not an editor or cinematographer 😉 but you learn by doing.
@@TiffanyRemijnArt Hey props to you Tiff because I can't even edit a 20 second video! (not lying, I treid it lol) but i just meant the beginning of your video, your intro looked extra crisp... like you got a new camera or something.☺ The rest looked different but I love the way you do your videos! Acrylic pouring or art like this, it doesn't matter... you have talent!!🥰
My camera for my intro I think I finally figured out how to set it on 4K and upload that way....so maybe that's it. Anyway thanks so much for watching and commenting 😘 I need more people to find my channel, however upon reflection it could be that the algorithm can't figure who my audience is because I keep changing my art genre 🙃

Thanks Alison, you are not the first person to mention that watching me create is calming. I'm trying to figure out what it is exactly.
How therapeutic❣️And fun, she and you are. What a beautiful piece ❤️
It was therapeutic Cindee! Similar to when I do textured pieces or the flower heads. 😘
What a crazy cool piece of art…..I applaud you my friend, this is beautiful 😍
