It is a great kit, Shawn. I'm 62 and would have gone ape if this model was available fifty years ago. I built one in flight posted on my channel, the second model build after returning to the hobby in 2018 after forty years.. Description on the video explains a few aspects. A second kit will be posed on its landing legs. I have done some work but shelved it to return when I have developed further skills from building other models. Additions; Paragraphics photo etch, Moebius lighting kit with some custom wire/lighting. Sliding air lock doors and docking port window. A removable section of the rear upper hull. Lots of scribed hull details. For your figures the silver works for the shoes/boots but the flight suit are high reflective chrome like. AK Super Chrome or Molotow chrome ink will give the correct look. For the cloth on Dr. Smiths uniform a ultra matte varnish removes all shine. The issue with the kit is the two hull halves. I have not seen a good solution(including magnets) for keeping a acceptable fit when the modeler wants the top to be removable. For the in flight, I constructed a interior support structure and used silicone to hold the halves together. If I need to open it I can. The second model I may set it up with internal mounts for screws. The countersunk holes for the screws would be easy to fill and blend and either a slight indication or template would find them for removal. I build mostly 1/32, 1/24 aircraft. A big project in the works is a Polar Lights 1/350 Star Trek refit using the Trekmodeler Warp 8 light/sound kit and color guide, Mask Design masks. I made a custom metal stand that allows 360 degree tilting. I have subbed and liked. Hope you have a enjoyable build, Shawn.
Wow, that all sounds so intense! I'll definitely re-subscribe and check out your builds. Thank you for the comment! I'll be getting back to the Jupiter 2 soon. :) It's mostly done.

Hey Shawn! Good video. It is a very tough medium to work with when building a time consuming model. Well done!
Great looking figures Shawn. Well done.
