This is actually like the first time we got all countries playing with their A teams or mostly A team
There is always that Qatar or Saudi even Iraq sometimes who send the B team to this tournament
But that time is different which is more hyped ✨🔥 plus sooo important since it came in middle of the World cup qualifying
Its hopefully gonna be the 2nd in a row for Iraq ❤️‍🔥🇮🇶

It's actually the first time since the 22nd edition back in 2014 in Saudi Arabia .. that one had first teams of 🇸🇦 and 🇶🇦 meeting in a final match that ended 2-1 win for 🇶🇦 ..
All teams played with first lineups in that tournament ..

    • @tomi2500
      @tomi2500 2 дні тому

why they send B team before?

    • @jafarlute6394

      @tomi2500
Because matches in this tournament are not considered ( official ) by FIFA .. they're considered ( friendly ) .. and some teams prefer to reserve their best players for more important matches ..
However , that doesn't mean all countries send B teams .. usually it happens in one or teams per tournament while all others send best players ..
      ..
Sometimes, professional players ( who play in leagues in Europe or east Asia ) just can't get permission from their clubs to join their national teams ..

@@jafarlute6394 that may be the biggest shame of all. I'd really like to think what Jack thinks about AFF championship or the Mitsubishi Cup being an official tournament and the golf cup not being an official tournament when the golf cup has like seven teams in World Cup qualifying right now and all of them are ranked higher than erryone in asean except maybe Thailand on a good day and minus kuwait and yemen but kuwait is in round 3 of world cup qualifiers and thailand is not! how do u explain that? not taking anything away from asean its been sucha good thrilling tournament this year its my first time watching asean cup and i think its an absoulte thrill ride, but so if the gulf cup

Jack you make a lot of great points i agree with all of them and i totally agree with you placing uae as one of the favourites i think they look dangerous
and bahrain is so hot and cold i dont know what the hell to make of them.
and saudi arabia is crashing out.
It's actually been so interesting watching the 2 time defending asain champs play like underdogs
UAE being eliminated by Tajikistan and now turning into this unbelievably well-oiled machine way more exciting then a sturdy iraq and uzbek under a very bullish Polo Bento I still don't know what to think of him but he's starting to look more and more like a genius brother brother how do you tell Ali mabhkoot to stay home when you could have the best attacking line in asian football with Yaya gasani and Fabio Lima and Ali mapcoot that's better than Jordan almost not really LOL but you get what I mean it's absolutely thrilling stuff man
oh and you hit the nail on the head when you say Iraq has gotten so boring ever since they started playing European style football I think it's just growing pains they have to learn on the go right now how to be a good team that's why they're barely getting by with 1 - 0 victories and 0-0 draws, i think theyre just adjusting to the spanish way and once they do and hit a major tournament again we shall see if it was all just a flash in the pan or the building blocks of Iraq taking back their rightful spot as one of the asian national team powerhouses with korea and japan.

Renard's confusion seems to be growing. His decision to field Nawaf Al-Aqidi seemed to be sit on the reason he was the best goalie in the U23 Asian Cup in 2022 (Saudi Arabia won without conceding). He didn't take to the account that Al-Aqidi was among the players who revolted against Roberto Mancini; Mancini, enraged by this, decided to punish by excluding Al-Aqidi permanently from the squad. When Mancini was booted out, the Saudis hurriedly reinstated several players previously punished under Mancini's request, Al-Aqidi included. Yet the rebellion clearly took a major toll on Saudi squad, when their star-like mentality and arrogance cost them. Many of these players, unable to have good fitness, were so lethargic to even consider.
But what can you expect when Renard's successes lie much from his assistants (Beaumelle and Bonadei) and not by himself? Honestly I even feel like China could actually have chance to beat Saudi Arabia away next year - the Chinese are bottom only because of goal difference. Perhaps, the win against Argentina seems to be cursing Saudi Arabia more than helping.

Despite the fact that this championship is not a major one in the eyes of the FIFA , i can assure you that it is important and it was always important ..
I'm talking from personal experience as an iraqi fan who watched his first Arab Gulf championship back in 1976 ( I was only 9 years old ) ..
    ..
It was actually the fourth edition of the tournament , not the first one, but it was the oldest one that i could still recall, and it was Iraq's debut in the tournament ..
    ..
Back then , it was 7 teams only ( Yemen wasn't included yet ) and was played as a single round-robin league where every team meets all other teams once, and total points decide who's the champion ..
    ..
I can still recall those days when Iraq and Kuwait were the top two in the area and had to play a final match because they both finished level in total points at the end of the league ..
    ..
Perhaps it was a sad memory of a 2-4 defeat for us against Kuwait in the final match , but it was a real top gun rivalry that most people from both countries can agree on how exciting its memories were ..

I will also discuss Saudi Arabia personally, partly because of having friends working in KSA's football.
I have mentioned that Herve Renard's only strength is his motivational skill, but his tactical and strategic planning are average or below that. In fact, his successes owned a lot to Patrice Beaumelle and Laurent Bonadei, who were perhaps his best assistants; even his high-tempo pressing football based on 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 have been Beaumelle's works and not Renard's own creation. Even Renard had to rely on Laurent Bonadei to do his bids in both the Saudi and French W teams.
This time around, I doubt he can do better. The Saudis are consumed by the arrogance of their superiority after the 2-1 victory over Argentina that now they are still unable to comprehend why their WCQ has been so bad. They can blame Roberto Mancini, but the reality is down to earth: themselves. Japanese players didn't behave like they were superior after beating Germany and Spain, they kept their heads low and plotted next moves; but Saudi players did the reverse. Japan kept their league a low profile, but Saudi Arabia oversized ego taught them that their Saudi Pro League is the best in the planet. The final thing that led to the uncontrollable megalomania lies directly on Renard: the 2-1 win over Argentina resulted in Saudi fans deifying him like a God, an angel or a genie. I feel sorry for Renard but he has no control over these manic cult-lovers.
The losses to Japan at home and Indonesia away (both surprisingly Saudi firsts) both came as the results of their own delusion, partly because before these matches, Saudi Arabia had never lost to Japan at home (nor even conceded a goal), and they had never lost to a Southeast Asian team in a competitive fixture. They are all gone now but I doubt it will change, because their next March fixture will be up against China, and given China has never won in Saudi soil, the delusion may come back soon (I can't see how the Saudis play Japan away).
So what are they doing in the Gulf Cup? I suspect that they will want to win and, considering the squad they have, they are contenders. And they will be desperate to rebound. But I don't think their Gulf Cup win meant other teams will lower their guards given crucial next year calendar. The teams in group C are aware of Renard's return and have worked tirelessly to neutralise his tactics and motivation management. The loss to Indonesia was from one such a thing when Shin Tae-yong (who coached South Korea to an equally famous 2-0 win over Germany) understood what Renard intended to do. And I suspect Branko Ivankovic, Hajime Moriyasu and even Tony Popovic knew that - and both of them have various FIFA credentials. They're more careful than the last time and won't allow Saudis the space they want.
Renard will love making a Houdini act, but they are up to the players. Unfortunately, they seem doomed this time around.

I remain worried, but I wonder why the hell did Renard neglect Abdulla Al-Salem, who is in a scoring spree in the Pro League, is stranger than what I can imagine. Say that he's 31 but he is still a potential wild card. And I would have loved seeing Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Maran, Talal Haji and Haitham Asiri in the squad too, for we don't lack youngsters. Instead Renard is leaving us with even more questions over his options. Is he thinking that going to Texas is easier than going to Kuwait? Al-Hamdan, Al-Shehri, Radif and Al-Buraikan are like invisible men during the World Cup qualifiers, yet he dared not to change (I know we beat Trinidad and Tobago 3-1, but that's hardly convincing).
I am watching from California (I am Saudi-American) thanks to ESPN and honestly I am appalled. I don't know if I can laugh or cry. Forgive me but our current situation is so dreadful. We would have thanked Renard but now he doesn't appear to be a sensible person in his comeback.

Kuwait had some chances to win against oman and they finished 1-1 kuwaits too scared of pressure they either play it aimlessly or lose it embarrassingly. They have good passers such as daham, al sanea, and eid, and dribblers such as majed, eid, meshari, zayed, have great Defenders such as meshari, hamdan, sanea, khuder, Shootings okay they just need a bit of power. goalkeepers in good form as we have a couple goalkeepers that are the best of the best. we need a win against one of our two opponents. qatars defense is easily tricked. And emirates is very aggressive, As im writing this qatars is in 1st
Kuwait in 2nd oman 3rd and uae 4th
    update as im writing this
Kuwait is somehow 1st Oman 2nd Uae 3rd and Qatar 4th. The group b drama starts on december 22nd. Might actually watch it in the stadium actually.

My feeling is that Iraq is clearly in hot form and I doubt they can miss out the opportunities to inflict even more pains for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. A lot to be expected but Jesus Casas is having some smile. Of course, Iraq won't lose anything if they can't defend the title, for the World Cup in North America appears to be within the range.
But Saudi Arabia and Bahrain? Their qualification campaigns are so insipid that you have to wonder what are they even up to. The way Saudi Arabia lost to Japan and Indonesia is astonishing when Saudi Arabia was seen as the better team both times, with the historic edge against Japan at home (3W with no goal conceded) and never lost to Indonesia - both vaporised in just a span of two months. The idea that _"I am the best in the world because I beat Argentina"_ plays a key role - Saudi players are arrogant, overconfidence and delusional. Four games without a goal perhaps isn't enough, perhaps a potential beating by China could finally ring the bell.
And Bahrain? The shock win away to Australia had, instead, turned to be their own undoing similar to Saudi's win over Argentina, with four home games all ended without a win. And you have to be surprised by the way how Bahrain was butchered by China at home, with China employing Bahrain's old trick to undo Bahrain's gains. Given that Japan and China are having home games against Bahrain in process, their run is as good as dead. Not to say angry Indonesians want retribution against Bahrain for a perceived robbery in the earlier 2-2 draw. Note that China's coach, Branko Ivankovic, is Bahrain's bane: Iran beat Bahrain twice and drew one, Oman beat Bahrain twice, and now China did.
Kuwait and Oman are straight mid. Or lame by comparison. If they can do anything better, than perhaps they will try to show up something. Honestly, Pizzi is a mid-tier manager for a Kuwait already lost the aura of their past; whereas Rashid Jaber is still someone I don't know but, given his WCQ record, it's so awful that you have to wonder what does Oman even have? The Oman team used to be so threatening in past WCQ was gone. And sadly Oman opted for an even more terrible manager to handle a subpar team.
Qatar is currently so bad that I can't imagine how can they even qualify for World Cup, so the Gulf Cup seems to be their salvation; but even then, you need to ask: can Luis Garcia amend for the mistake of his previous boss Tintin Marquez? The UAE is straight mid too, they are surprisingly good against a subpar Qatar, but other than that, they are barely convincing either. Inability to beat North Korea, Uzbekistan and Iran said a lot about their true level. Still they have a brighter stat as a compensation.
And Yemen? Dunno if they have anything to say bruh.
