Thanks for the video. I think the bolt for the drain is actually the one underside there is an access hole underneath and a short extension will get it out completely.

Interesting….that’s certainly possible. I was using the manual from Yamaha, for the most part the manual was pretty good but there was room for improvement. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tutorial. I need to replace my thermostat and I'm fairly certain that I'll be replacing the fan in my Viking soon too.

@@ThisThat007 blow air and water into the little vent on the fan motor to try and free it up from sand and dirt and it may work again. I had to do this 2 times now. The fans are not sealed very good at all. Poorly made fans.

I can’t even get my small ratchet down in there to release the drain bolt. Great video though. Very helpful.

The drain bolt is the vertical bolt that can be accessed from underneath through the large round hole. It doesn’t take long at all to drain. Also there is an air bleed top AND bottom. Fill and re-bleed at least 3 times to be sure.

My fan won't turn off and the engine light and temp light are on and stay on. 2016 yamaha 700 wolverine exp. Fan is on on start up and both lights stay lit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the video.

Hello! That’s an interesting situation you have going on there…my best guess would be that you coolant sensor back by thermostat is faulty or one of the relays for the fan is faulty. Also, double check to make sure that you have plenty of coolant in the system in general. With something that prominent it might be worth a phone call to your local Yamaha dealer to see if they’ve dealt with this issue in the past. My experience has been that they are not super helpful but it’s worth a shot anyhow. I’d be interested to hear how it turns out. Good luck and thanks for watching!!

@@ThisThat007 Thank you kindly. It happened after a long ride in the snow which packed up all underneath the undercarriage. Was dark and couldn't see it was so bad until the next morning. I will get to the bottom of it . Again, thanks.

Trying to bleed my system however when I do the bottom bleed, all good. But the top on there is no water at all up there? Any ideas why?

Yeah, If I remember correctly I never got a consistent drop but the threads on the bolt started to get wet…then I knew it was good….hope this helps!
