All this time I've been watching a ton of makeup tutorials of young girls with no bags under their eyes. I would beat myself up inside comparing my face to other women who were half my age! It suddenly dawned on me I need to watch women of my own age bracket. I'm happy I found you! It was so discouraging for a long time!☺️ ty

You look gorgeous! I am a makeup artist and a tip : you can put matte white eyeshadow in the line in between your eyes after foundation with a thin brush and it will not noticeable at all. You are still a bombshell!! Absolutely stunningly beautiful!

I have been looking for a channel like this!!! I wanted to see someone in my age range 60's who actually has bags, sags, and discoloration be able to apply makeup to reduce all the things we don't want showing and you did it!!! For me, there is no authenticity when I watch someone who has no wrinkles or discoloration, of course, that person is going to look great no matter how he/she applies the makeup. I also really like that you use inexpensive products. You look 20 years younger at the end of this video. I will be looking for your other video and practicing with this makeup. Love it and you!!

THANK YOU! I watch so many of these videos and it's girls in their 20's with zero eye bags. I know mine are from smoking and drinking as my 80 year old mother does not have them - either did my late father who looked 50 when he was 76. You video is fantastic and so helpful. I've been doing the cold teaspoons under my eyes every morning then certain tonics - they are helping but make up is wonderful! Weird - 52 and I have zero wrinkles on my forehead. I've noticed them on MUCH younger women in movies and TV shows.

You dont need surgery to fix your eyebags, i just had tear trough treatment and it made me look 15 yrs younger in 35 mins! i went to Harley st London. hopeyou do because youre so beautiful and my sort of age too.

I have many high end products and also drug store and I have to say that some carefully chosen drugstore products are as good as or better than high-end, really. I have A Lot of experience and a lot invested for someone who is 62 and always loved makeup. I have very dark circles and will definitely try your tip! I love Revolution foundation and concealer. I do very lightly dab banana powder where I placed concealer, which is under eyes and 3 sun spots on one cheek. Don't need a lot of concealer with the great foundation they have, in my opinion. 😊😘💖

BentlyK. I just found your channel. I will NEVER miss another one of your videos. I'm WWAAYYYY over 50 and most of the beauty gurus I watch on UA-cam how are over 50 say 'DONT BAKE.' I bake. My eyes are deep set so I use a light concealer to bring my eyes out. I describe myself as a mix between milk/dark chocolate. Except for our eye area I think we look VERY pretty. You don't have wrinkles and I've been very fortunate that I don't either. I started taking care of my skin when I was in my late teens using good old Ponds Cold Cream. Anyway, I do have a blog channel that I publish every Wednesday.

katieshealinggarden I’ve been in the industry of cosmetics and skincare all my life and I’m almost 55. The way you apply your makeup makes a difference as we age. It’s not about looking young it’s looking our very best at our age. I still am a makeup junkie, I just can not get enough!! Nothing like getting a new lipstick and liner or a new pallet🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 it’s so motivating and fun to see such a transformation once you understand what to do and not to do. In my opinion anything goes at any age long as you know how to flatter your features not hide them. And a bit less can be better on a everyday as we age but I still go all the way Glam whenever I feel like it. Be you! Wear it and own it!, no matter if totally Glam or natural🙌🏻🙌🏻 feeling good about yourself is beautiful♥️😍🥰💯

You are the first person with bags under the eyes that I have seen bake under the eyes. I do wish you had shown a close up after you were finished. You really concealed the bags.😃

The best way to conceal the shadows created by bags is to get a concealer a shade lighter than your foundation. Put this only in the hollow area under the bags, not under the entire eye. If you can, avoid putting make-up on the bag itself.
I've learned this since I recently developed bags as a result of anxiety during lockdown (high cortisol levels) then hayfever. I'm having to learn new make-up skills as an older woman.
Avoid contouring, while it helps to slim the rounded cheeks of young women, for us mature women all we need is a little blush on the cheekbones (but not the top of them). Any shadow colour in the hollows of the face is aging, creating a gaunt, elderly appearance. Rounder faces = youth.
I've always done my eyes in very dark goth colours, but I've replaced the blacks with mid-browns. Finding the right hair colour is proving tricky; it always looks too dark, and I HATE greys.

Watching you, it's like looking in a mirror!! Thank you for doing a video on basics for maturing skin. A tip that helped me was to use a makeup setter to help melt powder in to the rest of the makeup & not just wrinkles. I try 2 stay away from the mattifying types to keep it all "dewy". I just want to add to what you are teaching if I can. If you take a liquid concealer that is couple shades lighter than your skin tone and put it right where the shadow is under the bag it will make that area come forward as you say. Put it only on the shadow that is created by the bag itself. try it and see if it works for you. I love that trick. j~
Yes. That's what I do. I am 66. (56 in this pic) But nowdays, sometimes I dot a light, light brown pencil on the high spots of the bags (or where the concealer went past where I wanted it to go) and dab it with my fingertip to blend.

Same with the nasal lines. I have them too & didn’t correct my left side enough in this pic. Just go over with a fluffy brush but make it so you can notice light (brings lines forward and out) other people won’t notice it. You go gal! You’re very gorgeous and great with makeup.

Seems to me so many women have all these fillers and botox b/c they think the idea is to you "younger' i.e like 20 - like. On so many ppl, it just looks bad. Maybe on camera or photo, okay, but in real life, no so.
I hope we can work to a more expanded notion of beauty. I've seen a couple of women recently. when they smile (like me ::P ) their crows feet crinkle up at the corners of their eyes when they smile.. and they smile.. at lot.. and they just look beautiful! If their face didn't move right, it wouldn't ! Their eyes sparkled. . beautiful smiles.. ..
I"m 56, and except for a night for a special occasion, other people think I am younger without make up. .. so I have to think.. why bother.. although I do enjoy some. But a lot of these you tubers really put on a lot. At least for me... that can be again. Although maybe it's just my 'work" I never wore a lot of makeup, so learning a little now ;)

New subscriber,here Love your attitude. I'm 67 .Have recently been debating just giving in to not wearing make up.Then I toy with the idea of trying again.On the fence.It really doesn't help much any more but a girl can dream.Im not trying to be glamorous,I just don't want to scare small children
She is a knock-out! I will do makeup until I am 99+ if I live that long. Until I leave this world. I believe in its power. We must do what makes us happy and feel great. "Because you're worth it." When we age gracefully, our self-esteem shines through, and enhances our wisdom. I am 38. I believe that ALL women are beautiful and we must keep up with ourselves. Don't ever let yourself go - no matter how lazy or tired or sick you feel. Just get ready. Something I heard from a grandmother. For self-respect, we must show our best faces to the world and our loved ones. I can't wait until I retire at 50 as a teacher and just take care of myself on all levels even more. We have to be strong to take care of our families and ourselves. Always remember you are a queen! 👸
@Denisse, same here. As long as there's a breath in my body. I wouldn't go out in public without it, even at gunpoint! I love makeup and even though it is a sort of 'mask', it helps cover flaws and make the eyes beautiful.
Candy, I guess you are 70 now. But I am 67 and I experiment with different products (some cheap) and am using less makeup. Sometimes I don't use eyeliner ,because it is hard to put on crepey skin, and is too harsh. I went to a make-up party once (you remember the make-up parties that sell a certain make-up)? None of the older ladies had worn any make-up at all. I was younger then and I told them that they should wear a little make-up no matter how old they get. They looked more vibrant with the free make-up lessons. So now I am older and I find it makes me feel better when I take my time to put on my make-up in the mornings. My best friend, who is 73 (and has better skin than I do), looks super with her make-up. And my Mom who is 85, looks good in hers. So, don't give up the ship!

I will try that.Avene is water spray?I have peach fuzz even under and on my nose so powder accentuates that lovely feature maybe the damp sponge only where Im shiny like on my bags will make a diff. Oh Im painting a lovely ely picture. Huh? Bags are my knew developement. Surprise!

I use exactly the same as you. The most orange/peach from a pallet similar to yours. Gotta sub! I have never had surgery I wish I could but can't afford it. I am lucky genetically and because I never let the sun on my face.

Hi Bently, just to let you know, you can use Nivea skin firming and smoothing concentrate to get rid of eye bags. It may take a month or three but it really works! I use it so I know.

That doesn't really work.it does for a while but it's really drying that makes you think its depuffing. But instead it's just drying.

To make sure I get the RIGHT COLOR foundation, I go to a makeup counter, make note of the color, then call the '800' number of whatever brand I'm interested in. Before that, I do my research to make sure the product line is ANIMAL-TESTING FREE!

I meant to leave a comment for your video and I only left a reply to a lady. Which I feel goes to everyone. Always no matter your age just look your best for your age. If we focus on on or two of our own flaws, remember we are our worst critic. I think and agree with the concealer tip here it is 109% true!! You focus on the hollow area not the puffy area. Putting concealer only in hollow crease will take away the circles of a tired puffy eye. It’s the best!!! It does work!!! The video is great. The only downside is mature women need a more hydrating makeup because a wear all day drying non transfer only ages you. ( it does me) . I love trying new foundations and hands down best drug store is Maybeline Fit me for oily or one for dry skin. I buy both because I am combination skin and I’m dehydrated when I use a lot of acids and Retinol. I will mix them or wear whichever is best that day. I also love the concealer she’s using it’s Great!! For high end my favorite foundation is Ysl and Huda concealer. The Ysl is absolutely beautiful and so forgiving on more mature skin it’s flawless and worth the money. The Huda concealer is smooth and very opaque, also waterproof but not drying at all. This is a very good video and exactly how you want to do your concealer on the hollows of your eyes and use a color same as foundation or use your foundation for right under your eyes. she is using a "fillter" when recording so lines and wrinkles, unless they're huge and deep, don't show and that's why she can pile on the product and still look natural, but it's not, darn!
