I have very deep tear troughs and a bluish/purple discoloration right in the deepest part that is almost impossible to cover or even hide with beauty products. I am 38 and they have gotten so much worse over the last 5 years. I recently started using Jergens natural glow face moisturizer in medium to deep on my face, concentrating more specifically on my eye area by applying a tiny amount 3-4 times while allowing to dry in between applications. I usually apply at night after showering and then once in the morning with my regular moisturizer routine. This is the only product that I have used and had visible results with. It does not completely hide my deep tear troughs or discoloration areas, but it covers enough that I feel more confident about my appearance. My complexion is fair with neutral tones and the medium to deep colored moisturizer blends in evenly and looks natural.

@@CaelaCook Another product I like is Clinique Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator (universal light medium). I mix it with my Clinique Even Better Glow makeup foundation to add a little color/glow to my face and help cover my eye trough area. I have combination oily skin so its too much hydration if I use it alone. Its a bit expensive, but if you have a clinique counter near by, you may ask for a sample to try. The Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray- thirsty skin relief is good for an anytime moisture boost too and its fairly inexpensive for a large bottle.

A tip that helps me is not to use anything brightening/light-colored on the actual bag, just underneath it (where the shadow is cast) to highlight upwards. Applying light concealer to the bag actually makes it stand out more.

Instead of layering all those products you can try just correcting the dark line with a small brush, corrector and concealer. Aly kat has a video on it. Instead of putting all that product all over you can focus just on the dark area and hollow. I have the same problem and doing all this stuff does not hide the circle, it just makes the rest of the area lighter.

4:59 That's how I feel watching you! LOL
My eye area is SOOOOO much darker than yours. It's not just under me eyes, it's a full circle. Plus it's a greenish brown color, not the run-of-the-mill purple/blue.
Not only that, but my eyes are also very deep-set, and the hollow under them is ridiculous.
It's very strange because my skin is pretty light (I'm officially a redhead), but anyone who looks at me will probably say I have medium/deepish skin, because my eye area makes a huge impact, plus I have melasma right under my eyes, and freckles so... quite a combination of factors!
You have quite even skin! 6:16 Look at that! Just a layer of foundation and the circles are pretty much gone! :D

Caela my skin tone and eye issues are practically identical to yours, though I am older (50) so have a few more wrinkles compounded into the mix ... I can never get the sunken look completely gone, but can minimize it some from its au natural appearance.
For concealer, you might want to give the Bare Minerals BarePro (I use the shade "light/medium-neutral") a try, I am loving this one and sometimes even use it on my entire face instead of foundation ... it acts more like a tinted moisturizer, invisible once on but evens the skin tone.
My skin also leans on the dry side and I have found using a couple spritzes of the Too Faced 3-in-1 coconut setting spray gives back that moisturized look after the light dash of powder, which I do as well.
Thanks for sharing your tips as I know this is a frustrating and challenging trouble area for many of us.

I don't really see much of an improvement on the bags. The dark circles look better. Also, why on earth would you need botox at 31?! Not judging, I'm absolutely foe botox if you need it, I just can't see a 31 year old needing botox. If you're that unhappy with your skin now, you're prob not going to like it that much later.

I’m not sure what the point of your comment was. Some people naturally get wrinkles early due to genetics. While African Americans and Asians for example have skin that doesn’t wrinkle until very old age.
