- The three previous THR10 models have been replaced by the new THR10II! All previous models are in the THR10II. Need more? Well, the THR10IIWL has a rechargeable battery and wireless receiver built-in! Still not enough? The new 30-watt model THR30IIWL has the wireless option, rechargeable battery and stereo line outputs!

Best purchase that I've made in years = THR30II (black). Incredible "Cleans" and nice-effects & Van Halen tones. Love it !!!
I wish you went over the difference between the 2 versions.
The 10 is 20 watts and has a 1/8 inch stereo out. The 30 has two 1/4 outputs....all the electronics are the same.
Also, the 20 has buttons for accessing all the various amp models, but the 10 requires the app for most of them. Not a huge deal for me since you can deep edit any of them and store your favorites in the 5 user memory positions for quick recall.
Really appreciate the 21:9 aspect ration of this video and the smooth graphics! Awesome editing.
Much appreciated!
Best review of the new Yamaha THR's so fare!!!
I will buy one of those as soon as they are available at THOMANN...
Very well done, cheers from germany.
Sold!! Best demo of these Amps yet.
You are the only guy on youtube that addressed my question: can you use it as a bluetooth speaker? I'm in the market for both a home guitar amp and a home stereo and I was wondering if I can just buy this as a 2 for 1 thing and save some money. Plus, this looks AWESOME as part of the home decor. Thanks Bob!
Best bluetooth speaker ever, I have the 30, surprisingly, I use it quite a bit as a speaker in the room.
Just bought the 30 from you guys. I am also gushing.
The problem with these amps is you can't choose the amps on offer. A lot of people (including myself) have wanted an option where you buy the base and it could store like... 3-4 amps at a time and you could pick and choose which amps they were.
You can choose which ever amps you like best and save your top 5 faves to the top 5 fave buttons oh yes happy days !!
I bought a THR30 a month or so ago and am quite disappointed in it. I was hoping it would be essentially the same as my THR10 (which I love) but with a little more power and body. And perhaps it would be except that at anything over very moderate levels there's some kind of buzzing/rattling sound that seems as though something in the cabinet is a bit loose and resonating. This is mainly a problem in the lower end, but it makes the amp pretty much unusable for what I want. :-(
Bring it back to Yamaha for repairs
@@billbergen9169 The problem is, I live in New Zealand. I imported this direct from the States via Ebay. It's too costly to return it to the States. The Local agent is just an agent - not actually Yamaha - so they only offer warranty repairs on items they actually supplied. The nearest Yamaha distributor is in Australia, so again, there would be significant shipping costs involved both ways. I reckon I could probably find and fix whatever it is that's causing the problem myself if I could figure out how to safely get into the unit.
@@The_Invisible_Self I ended up selling it, and the buyer ended up finding a local repair person who was able to sort it for them. I don't know the details of what the repair person did, but I'm grateful it was sorted out.
Have the THR10c - wohooo, I'm upgrading
me too. i think i am going to get the new one as well.
Same! Happy to see that you can get all 3 amp classes in there now.
Although I will miss the cheesy tube amp imitation lighting...
@@DeeEfSea Wow, what? No more cheesy light!?!? WTF? Haha
It still has the cheesy lighting,
It looks like a heater in a dark room😀
Awesome bit of gear. Thanks for sharing your demo and stay safe 👍
+1 for the Lock Up shirt. Terrific review as well.
-5 for the Edmonton Oilers avatar !! ( Alléz les Habs!)
these look sick
Great video. Thanks. I've ordered mine, but not available in the USA until the end of October! Boo Hoo....
"GREAT' Video my friend (it's one of the best), it's "Very" well done. Thank You for all of your work and effort, You sound super by the way. I just ordered the AMP myself...
I have the THR10X and it is by far my most used and favorite amp, when I found out they made an updated version, it was a thrilling moment for me. I did not buy this product though, due to:
No looper, using DC15 for battery vs USB-C connection, the inspiring switch to turn on and off is now gone. Will be using the THR10X forever as I love you Yamaha, take my money with these suggestions :)
I gave a thumbs down, not because of the review, but because the line outs are the only intersting add-on for me and I still miss a footswitch and a speaker out.......Why doesn't Yamaha add this feature which obviously other people can add themselves or pay ( too much) for something someone else is offering...
@@dickgitaar2012 this is true as well. A footswitch and speaker out needs to be added
@@dickgitaar2012 Agreed with your statement. I'm wondering if the amp engineers felt the amp was too underpowered to provide a speaker out, so not wishing to void warranties, they just dropped the idea. The 30 watt, from what I've read is the ONLY amp to offer the line out feature. Nice amps, they just don't approach anything but bedroom capability.
Buy a looper and never look back
The old on/off switch was a design flaw, especially for a portable amp. I dropped mine and it bent the switch. You’ve basically got a weak point sticking out where it concerns turning the amp on and off, which is essentially the most important part of the amp. Now there’s nothing sticking out for it to land on if there’s an accident. When it comes to a portable amp, that’s an important feature.
nice promotional product video
having watched a few vids on these products just note
1.there's no send return loop - not a thing they thought about apparently on this or the "korg handbag" or the katana air.
2. adding a looper into the front end is better than the last thr but still no great as you'r stuck with 1 sound to work with.
3. adding pedals changed the tone a little, not as bad as the last thr though.
4. unlike the katana air the wireless transmitter is an additional purchase on the Yamaha.
5. your better half might be fine with this sat in the home... happy days!
Wait? The Katana Air includes the wireless module? I’m confused bc I thought Yamaha bought , or had arrangement with Line6. The G10 relay module sound certainly be included for $500 (with Send / Receiver Loop and Looper).
As commented on another channel that’s what the Katana 212 goes for, also with great FX. I will say the 3” smaller stereo speakers in this likely serve backing tracks better than the Katana 100 ( single 12”) and separate volume control is nice, but I’m choking on the price for a bedroom amp.
* WOLVERINE * yea I was stoked at this when I saw it.. then I saw the one with the battery is 450 and no wireless module included so another 100.. 550 bucks for the whole setup.. ouch!!
I have two questions, if there is a stereo mini plug out on the 10 and if they both run on the same wattage while on battery, do I really need the 30?
6:44 cannot hear the backing track , how does it sound? Can backing track be played
at the same volume level as guitar?
Geee Wzzz yes the guitar and the audio playback have separate volume dial
great demo sounds great
I bought the thr10c....absolutely impressed. So bought the thr100hd thinking it would be as good only bigger ,for bigger venues. Cant seem to get as good sound from the 100hd as the 10c. Kind of disapointing. Going to try this one i guess.🙄
hi Kevin, have you try it? is thr10ii as good as thr10c?
@@attarzz Hi Attar, havnt tried it yet. Been trying to sell the 100hd set up to raise money for it.....and maybe another guitar🙄
6:19 amazing, good play man
I have a THR10C and one thing I like about it is it gets good sounds at low volume, I wonder if the new 30 watt version will still sound good at low volumes???
the 30w is using those tiny speakers..you won't be practicing in a band with it, it just can't move enough air.
@@cresshead What does that have to do with sounding good at low volumes?
It's solid state, so it should be the same as the older generation.
@@cresshead extra headroom for bloom
I was wondering this to
Beautiful love the 30w
One of the best reviews i´ve watched so far because most of the rest are just hype or too many backing tracks that colour the amp sound. I like this amp because It seems that we´ll be able to get a wide range of outsanding tones from it, those that would´ve implied to purchase the Thr10X and the C one. This time they claim to offer all of them in a single amp, which is a great deal. According to what I hear in this review, it´s possible to get the wonderful high gain tones from the green amp. And a nice clean. To me, what it´s not clear enough yet is whether we´ll get the Thr10C cleans too. I´m very fond of the US Blues setting for instance and I haven´t heard it in any review so far. The rest of settings you´ve reviewed, including the crunch one sound amazing, almost all I can desire from a desktop amp, therefore i´m starting to save (and drool too ;) )
Own both the X and the C...sold the C coz I couldn't justify owning it when you can back off the gain of the X and still get great crunch sounds off it. I'm thinking of selling my X now and just wait for this baby
These new models have all of the amps from the Original, C, and X available to them and from what I've read/heard is they're not JUST the same old "algorithms" but reworked to sound better as well.
@@bobisadrummer Of course the big advantage is that you can easily alter cabinet sim tones via the IOS/Android app plus other Bluetooth functionality. While Yamaha claims that the the tones heve been radically redesigned I wouldn't expect too much from them.
@@bobisadrummer Oh that sounds nice, hopefully they do... I´m really looking forward to giving it a shot!!
I’ve had my THR30II on order for over a month from Musicians Friend and they are saying it’s another month out. No one has any stock anywhere and no answer from Yamaha.
rbirdwell59 Same here. I just canceled my order and got an audio interface instead. Guess I’m impatient. 🤷♂️
I canceled mine and bought a Boss katana air 2 day shipping $200 cheaper since it comes with the wireless transmitter
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my password. I would love any help you can offer me.
@Leighton Marcellus instablaster =)
@Kasen London i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice one guys!
How does this compare to boss air? The air is cheaper and comes with the wireless piece built in. With this one you have to buy the line 6 adapter for 100 bucks. I’ve owned a katana previously it was decent but it would take a lot of tinkering to get the channels to match volume etc.
whats with the red glow from the amp nothing in the manual tells anything about it that i can find
Strictly for appearance to create the effect of glowing amp tubes.
thanks got that fiquired out looks cool tho at night
Hi there, can you confirm it has DELAY as an effect please. If it doesnt does some other THR include DELAY ?
Hey really nice review! What model Strat is that, an American Performer II? It sounds killer.
One of the most important necessity of a guitar amplifier is to be able to switch from gain to clean via footswitch. That is crucial, otherwise, you cannot perform a gig.
Did'nt notice it mentioned, but is there at least a footswitch alternative to the memory preset buttons?
Any footswitch possibilities at all?
Don’t you have a volume knob / tone knob / 3 way selector ?
Except is no gigging amp.. it’s a desktop amp, so no..
Awesome high-gain single coil sound!
Is there any difference in functionality between the 30 and 20? Or is it just the watt output in terms of how loud it can get? Sorry if this is a dumb question, first time looking at amps!
The 10 has a 2x3 speaker configuration and the 30 has a 2x3.5 so a bigger speaker and more power
The 30 has a line out
Great concept... great starter amp for a beginner or anyone looking for a nice little practice amp
It is a very good amp for home use
It’s not a starter amp. If you live in a place where you can’t push a tube amp, this amp will give you the tone of a screaming tube amp with way less overall volume. Do you discredit this amp because you have not tried it personally, or did you have one and just didn’t like it?
This is far from a starter amp. And at $500 you could buy a pretty kick A$$ amp. This is purpose built for practice BUT with the outputs it could be used in a studio and live in the right small venue or lower volume situation. If you plugged this into a FRFR powered speaker, it could kick some serious butt.
I have the original THR - 10X does anyone know of a Website that has a user Library to sort though popular Bands settings Tones as well as made original Tones ? There are thousands of tones still to be discovered on the 1st Gen. amp's
No I didnt I copied some settings from Cameron cant remb. his last name he has a YT channel but I copied his really good 80's Glam Metal setting then just played around after that. I still have two pre -set slots open so I have three different sounds that do for me what I need . There are Forums online with pre -sets you can copy and tweak to your liking here is one , www.strat-talk.com/threads/yamaha-thr10-settings-share-thread.333369/ just Ignore the Strat crap and scroll down you will see different intrface settings then just fine tune if you like them . Im older so I don't use Apps and stuff like that much I'm more of a hands on Generation I guess lol Great Amp enjoy wait a year and those new ones will be more affordable or get a BOSS KATANA if you want some power and tons of effects !
Hey excellent review.
Please your sugest.

Does anyone know if it has a headphone port? I’m in a dorm and I need to play quietly at night
Looks like it has one on the right top side. But dont buy it because of me haha
Can i attach my gramophone to this one?
You need the gramophone adapter. $99- kind of steep but it doubles as a calliope adapter so it’s with it IMO.
That adapter will work with your wireless too, if you feel so inclined.
Hi guys, I've been looking everywhere for the gramophone adapter but I'm having no luck. Could you provide any links?
I see no option on the editor to adjust the rate of speed or parameters for tremolo or Flanger, I called the Yamaha corporation and they don’t know either.
I noticed on the two minute and 12 second mark of this video, I don’t know how you did it but a screen popped up on the editor for effects and I noticed Flanger and tremolo was listed.
Are you able to click on that box select in effect and modulate it yourself?
If you rely on adjusting it manually on the amplifier itself, even at the lowest setting, The tremolo is way too fast and unusable in my opinion.
I’m just curious what you did to get the effects screen to pop up?
What about a foot switch to go from clean to rythem &lead other wize u have to change while trying to play
You can use a 3rd party BT Footswitch in order to do that
@@filippop.6172 Blue Tooth only allows for one connection
@@gunshotheafy Are you sure or are you speculating? If true that would be awesome.
Hi. What model Fender Stratocaster are you using in the video? Great review of this amp. Thnx in advance. 🍻🐐
It looks like a Fender Special USA Strat to me
think it’s a usa professional.
I think it's a strat American standard...
How do you play music off your phone onto the amp. For when you are not playing
Either with a aux cord, or the new ones are Bluetooth.
Can loaded presets & patches be selected with a foot switch?
No batteries forget about taking it to remote locations. The old thr10 has batteries and plug it.
Thanks for the great review, just subscribed. Just a quick question, can it go real quiet without messing up the tone? Or the only way to go quiet would be with headphones? Thanks again!
I’ve had my thr10 for 5 or 6 years. I took it to jam at a friends and he walked away from it and pulled it off its perch and landed on the guitar chord. It bent the jack in and now it doesn’t work. I got the thr10ii 20 wl. Can’t wait to get it. Dude is going to pay for some of it.
does this new THR10 II have everything (functions), that the previous THR10X have? I'm debating whether to get THR10X or do i wait for this???
Yes! It also has what the THR10 and THR10C have too. - Bob
@Better Music that's awesome, thanks!
Edit: got another question, I noticed on the 30ii, the color of the small light changes as you toggle between classic, bontique and modern. Does the color of the light change for the 10 models as well when you toggle between the 3 functions via the app?
@@bettermusic are you sure it has the same amp models as the 10x?
Macaroon it’s all 3 boxes in one.. looks like they put echo instead of delay, so no tap tempo?
@@mattwood5493 awesome, thanks!
@better music what"s the difference in presence/sound between the 30 and the 10/20??
If you go with the 30 you get more head room, so even at lower volumes it would be a better choice.
This little thing blows me away! Can anyone answer me this: Can I run it direct into my Scarlett Studio interface? The clean sound on this little thing would be a perfect base for my pedals, and with a small house, this and my interface would be an ideal home recording combo.
You can run out the USB and it has 2 stereo outputs. I pair is direct and the other pair are post effects. Or you can just run out the two 1/4 outputs for stereo.
@@jeffmilkey Sorry mate, totally missed your reply - thanks, that's really helpful! :)
They are both stereo??
How does it sound through it's actual speakers? This video doesn't show that
Good question. A difficult one to show because the UA-cam’s compression etc. but I can assure you it sounds great. Come in and try one for yourself, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. - Bob
hi...any idea of the release? is it simultaneous worldwide?
Are you able to disable the cab sim on the line out?
Yes, you can turn off the cab sim from the app
I cannot connect my Accoustic Guitar wireless to the Yamaha THR II 30. Bass Guitar works, Electric Guitar works, Accoustic Guitar only works with Cable. I am using the recommende wireless connection, Relay G10. Help please
Try with the stereo adapter that you must have with your Line 6 G10
Can I use my boss pocket gt with this amp?
no line output on the 20watt version??? WTF ?? Yamaha, we are in the stone age??
Is the Special channel the brown from the previous amp?
which one do you prefer, THR10C or THR10ii? (for clean slightly breakup tone) thanks
Probably the THR10II as it has all the amp presets to get you clean and dirty tones with enough power in the speakers to make it loud :)
how loud is 10 compared to 30?
Anybody have one of these? Does the distortion channel get the same metal sounds as the THR10X?
Oh, I see this was already answered. Just hoping it gets that same rich saturated sound...
Sounds nice. How was the amp sound recorded on the video?
It was recorded direct in so this isn't what you can expect it to sound like in the room.
We went out of the stereo line outs on the back of the THR30mkII. The speakers in it are pretty small, so the sound won't be quite the same, but if you're using the pure amp sounds (like with the line-out into a mixer/interface or headphones) it will sound the same as the video. Cheers - Murdoch
Is there any way to run the thr30 as a head? Into a speaker cab? Or does it have to basically go into a pa/mixer?
Question: can you play blutooth backing tracks and run the thr app at the same time or does music playback knock the app offline and/or vice versa?
Hi Gary, actually it's two different Bluetooth connections. You have to connect your app via the dedicated menu and as well the device (phone or tablet) via the classic Bluetooth setting. If you use a pedal you have then 3 Bluetooth inputs for the app. So you can jam along a backing track, switch effects or presets with your pedal and tweek via the screen on the same time.
Everyone skip on the bass mod why whhhhyyyyyyy
Ikr that seems pretty huge for people who wanna do while projects on their own
@@hiroprotagonitis I got the thr metal and is fucking cool , best practice amp ever . being Totally wireless avoid the problem of small desk

Great demo! The line out cab be hooked to a speaker cab or just to a mixer in a live context?
line out is for recording/pa mixer
It won't power a speaker its just a line level output
Anyone notice all of the "reviews" for this amp came out at the same time.
Prob a cease and desist / sponsorship thing
Yamaha sent the units out to all reviewers at the same time. Not sure what you're implying
@@legendfpv It's because of NDA / Embargo. They're not allowed to talk about it up untill a certain date.
Almost like it's a brand new product that just came available to review...
It's almost like the amp was released at a point in time where everyone could access it...
Can this utilize a Bluetooth foot controller ? How do you foots witch if not?
Can't switch while playing....unless you reach over and do it yourself.
Yamaha website says 3rd party Bluetooth footswitches are supported via the app.
why is the guitar output knob all the way 0 but u hav sound coming out?
Probably using the app
How it sound, if guitar output is at 0 value?
It depends on who’s playing
What pickups do ypu have in these guitar? Sound good!!!
They are the standard Fender V-Mod pickups that come in the American Professional Series. Very tasty pickups indeed. Cheers - Bob

There's a comparison video coming soon...

@@bettermusic people are waiting for this comparison for years!!! Do it!! ❤️
is this combo a right choose for playing bring me the horizon songs?
If you're playing at home it will be a fine practice amp. But if you want to play Bring Me The Horizon you're probably better off with a Peavy 6505+ stack...
For practice get the thr10x metal version
Hi how are the line out and headphone out different? Couldn't u just run the headphone out on the thr10ii into PA mixer or interface? Would love to be able to use either amp live!!
You can, they just changed the jack, now it's mini, I suppose the main outs on the back are cabinet voiced, or maybe no.
You could I guess, but the THR30II gives you ALL options. Using the THR10II headphone out would defeat the speaker, making any monitoring from the amp itself unavailable. Your choice. - Bob
@@bettermusic This is the kind of answer I was looking for! I didn't know that the line outs would leave the speakers on unlike using the phones out. Dedinutely something to think about. Would you also know if the "audio out" knob controls both the line out and headphones e out signal, or are there ways to control the signal individually. Thanks so much Bob!
Anyone know if the line out on the amp can go into the Yamaha cab?
No, you will need a power amp in order to do that. From the line out you only get the signal
we have bluetooth, we have wireless transmitter, we have soft on smartphone, but we have no line out!!!what???
The 30 has a line out. Not the 10
Whatever you do, dont buy the cheaper gimmicky Positive Grid. Mine bricked out and PG's customer service gave me the total runaround. Plus it had a boomy sound. I ended up getting the Yamaha THR30II.. It was a huge mistake to pass up this amp for the Spark 40 as it was cheaper, , , BAD IDEA!
Is there anywhere that shares some of there saved presets?
Is that just an amp head? Or does it have speakers on board?
It is a combo amp on its own !
It has stereo speakers...and is a stereo combo amp. Put two SM57s in front and you got something going on through the PA.
Jeffrey Milkey or just use the 1/4 inch line outs straight to the PA without any mic’s.
Is this amp suite for acoustic guitars?
It has a dedicated acoustic setting, so you should be sweet!
Does it support any footswitch?
No. But works good with pedals effects.
So is the 10 same as the 30 with less watts?
Almost. On the 30 the speakers are slightly larger so the sound is a bit rounder and it adds a little more depth to it. Otherwise it sounds almost the same.
The 30 is a bit bigger too so there is a switch button on it for the 3 types of amps (boutique, classic and modern), on the 10 you have to use the app to switch between the three
Will any wireless receiver work or do you have to get the Line 6 version? My concern is many years down the line if your Line 6 receiver breaks and they aren't available in the market, you are stuck.
It's made to work only with the Line 6 version. But it's a popular transmitter, so I don't think they'll be out of production for ages.
Get the 30, then get a used Mac Laptop Pro, probably $300 on Ebay , download Garageband for nothing, get some semi decent headphones and have a ball. :)
priceless piece of kit i guess
Im geussing it lacks bottom end but must say it does,nt sound like it
If you need bottom end plug it into a powered speaker or powered sub. Sounds pretty legit for guitar....wouldn't think it would be that great for bass.
But... where is the preset library and the computer editor ?
You can download it right from Yamaha website. And there is also awesome THR editor app.
10 or 30 what would you go for?
30...
Why the 30? Because of the sound of because of the features??
@@jeffmilkey Why the 30? Because of the sound of because of the features??
@@jessedax7333 Good question. I have a unique situation in that I have a solo act that does all kinds of gigs from a group of people sitting around a campfire to thousands at a festival. I have many configurations of my gear so adding a flexible tool is good. A small powerful amp that is battery powered or AC powered with direct outs, provides me ultimate flexibility. I will use this live even though it is branded a practice amp. You can also throw a couple mics on this and Boom your live through the PA as well.
I gone for the 10(20 watt)wireless. Sure the 30 might sound slightly different with a bit of low end but tbh running a Les Paul in it I have quite a lot of natural lows from that. I just wanted a really small amp I’d use at a super low volume.
I’m not too fussed about the line outs as for recording I use something else. The switch for the amp types doesn’t bother me as you can still access with the App. I’m a guitar teacher and the wireless was the biggest appeal to me. So easy to just grab and take to other people’s houses, or school, I teach at now!
Sounds great but basically you have got 15 pre selected sounds which you can't adapt you can put delay reverb on and one only of fazer tremolo flanger chorus all with only very basic tweaking it doesn't seem to be any further ahead than the vox adio except for the wireless
Don't get me wrong I love yamaha, there isn't a guitar out there than gets close to my yamaha sg2000 but this is very tonally limited.
I've got the boss katana air, reluctantly and thought that upgraded one of these would make me change but no. Why would I pay so much to have to play someone else's idea of a nice tone when with my katana air I have 50 plus effects of which 4 can be used at once, re arrange the sound chain play about with global parametric eq etc etc and make my own sounds?
I can also download a myriad of pre set tones for it load them in and then completely adjust all their component values to get exactly the sound I want.
With this maybe yamaha could offer secondary menus with more tones but as the hardware wouldn't be fully supportive of sound component changes you would still end up with just pre sets.
I wanted any new thr to be my perfect amp but other than tone which is subjective the sheer usability and flexibility of my air blows it away and with limitless sounds I can just output from rec out to frfr powered speakers and I've got a brilliant gigging head
Yamaha needed to do more and I'm so dissapointed
I’m sorry to burst your bubble but there are plenty of guitar better than an sg2000. Schecter, Ibanez, Kiesel, Gibson, ESP, strandberg... The list goes on. But don’t complain about an amp you don’t have. You need to try it first.
What about the power? Is the kat air satisfying enough for home practice and jamming with another guitarist? Thanks
30 watt out of its 3 inch speakers it's loud- fills my 14 x14 foot room at about 60 percent volume on relatively low gain setting. Without any clean or mid boosters applied. It surprised me. Before I got it I was already talking about hooking up a powered frfr speaker out of rec out for when I wanted volume but absolutely no need
The reviews didn't give me much confidence in its volume or size of its sound but to be honest it's impressive it does move air like an amp should and your not constantly hearing your own guitar strings as I feared.
I'm not a boss fan in any way shape or format so hopefully you will be able to take this as an objective response
Don't know how far you have looked into it and not trying sell it its each to their own but I think it's remarkably specd with 4 reverb all fully adjustable. 6 delay types each with 2 pages of adjustment and can run 2 at once. 4 types of compressor again with 2 pages of adjustments each. 8 types of wah 10 types of overdrive and distortion The list goes on and on. Really blows my mind
Anyway not trying to big it up just excited by it
Tell me please, is there a big difference between THR10II Wireless and THR30? I am planning to buy 10, but does it worth to add more money for 30, what's your opinion?
Besides output, yes! The THR30II has a stereo line out and mode switch to change between the three variants of THR amps. - Bob
thx Yamaha
Can you use any of these for bass?
There is a bass setting that you can use. It's a small practice amp, so I wouldn't expect the world from it in terms of tone. But for a small amp, it does pretty much everything! Cheers - Murdoch
Every option but a footswitch and proper D.I out. Don't waste your money
Footswitch for a desktop amp? Weird flex, but Ok I guess?
Cheers,
Bob
Footswitch missing? Yes. But the D.I. isn't missing, you get that with USB.
Yamaha website says 3rd party Bluetooth footswitches are supported via the app.
how much??
Hey Slack,
Here in Australia the THR10mkII starts at $425. If you wanted to go up to the 30 Wireless they are $759. But if you're not in Australia check your local pricing as it varies.

Send it Back!

wildebest good point, at different price points $299 old vs $499 new you’re prob right.
What's wrong with the THR 10X? I want one over this with the brown sounds. Even though this one is awesome, too.
* WOLVERINE * Nah. The 10II is still $300 bucks except it includes all the amp sims and is 20w. The 30II is the $500 model.
legit just got the old model in the mail today. fml lmao
You will Love it dont worry other then the Wifi thing its the same amp . I got the 10X Metal model over a yr ago and still have plenty of sounds to discover . If Wireless is that Important just buy a Wireless kit , some very good ones for under $200.00 USD .. I have been using this system and it works great no latency or hum/squeal Xvive U2 Digital Wireless Guitar System they are around $149 , i paid $180 still worth every penny.. Have fun !!!
I feel you! I haven't had mine a month, then pow! They come out with a new one and the older ones price will drop! I love the amp, would have loved it more, Cheaper!
@@DeadShred9 It's not the same at all
Yeah its all three in one so if you had the Classic or the 10X like I have its a all in one plus the Bluetooth and the phone app not that Important over all .
Yeah I have the old thr 10c with a flyrig in front. Great little practice setup. You wont regret it. Takes pedals really well.
Old (1st) THR 10 is better!) sounds like true analog!
The case when the guys from Yamaha overdid))
Sounds like LINE 6 :-)
Well, Yamaha do own Line 6, so there is bound to be some crossover. Cheers - Murdoch
