Whoever is saying "congratulations, you /are/ autistic" is my new fave person of the day. Even through the voice changing, they sound so genuine and like, proud of you. Heck I'M proud of you. Heck yeah, girl! Be your best self. I love this immensely ❤❤❤
right! she was so good!!!
Thank you so much for sharing. It truly is a journey of discovery as I identify with everything you said as a parent and as a person on the neurodivergence spectrum. I raised my autistic son who also has ADHD without knowing I was also autistic and possibly have ADHD too. I didn't get my ASD diagnosis until I was 50 years old and had experiencd so many of the traits but had been misdiagnosed by the doctors because of my masking. I'm now 56 and still learning so much about autism and ADHD. I love watching your family's journey and am learning so much from you all so thank you for all your content in helping me and others learn. 🙂
When a child is autistic, it's very likely that their parent(s) are, too, right? /genq
I relate to you masking well, I am currently experiencing a burnout from it as well. It is absolutely draining. Thank you for speaking up about it and congrats on your diagnosis ❤ (Btw the first video I saw of yours, without any further information, I immediately clocked you as autistic /pos)
Wow, what a brave, capable, wife, Mum,, carer, suport and neurodivergent survivor, advocate.....and more. Wishing you well with this journey of your own and thankyou for inspiring people in similar situations. I have a feeling that this outreach to others is about to double. What a gal. Your kids are so lucky to be able to call you Mum.
Aw you are too kind, thank you
Ok I cried relatable tears while watching this! This is such a great thing to watch and you should be so proud of the person you are and the beautiful community you have created x
Welcome to the club!!! I wasn’t properly diagnosed until this year at age 50. It has been so validating and freeing to truly accept and understand myself.
My son also led me to self discovery. ❤
Thank you so much, great to be here!!!
Congratulations, and welcome to the cool kids club! 😎 It's been 3 years since my diagnosis, and the self compassion I feel now is life changing. Thanks for sharing! 💞
Thank you for sharing your journey with me, I am so grateful
I am 45 and just received my diagnosis of autism and adhd 6 days ago. It's already been incredible. It makes me so excited to see what's to come in my life!😊 😊

I would love to hear more about the diagnostic process. I think I might be autistic too. I've been going back and forth on it for years. Both my kids are diagnosed.
Yes! More videos soon!

@@aussieautismfamily thank you 🤗
I'm on that journey. I can relate to the whole imposter syndrome feeling. Isn't it ridiculous that we trust the conclusions of someone else over our own. My self-awareness was one of the first signs that made me think I was neurodivergent but now I feel that I can't freely tell people that I'm autistic and adhd without a stranger verifying it 😅
right imposter syndrome is real!!!!
