He is their GPS autosteer if they start to go off line he barks though though other GPS he can be prone to dropping out usually when he has seen a rabbit
Hi from Australia, We have had 5 years of a below average crop but..... This year the farming gods have shone on us and we have had very good rain hopping on a very good year this year, can’t wait. It’s hopefully going to be a great year, the 2388 is going to have to work her but off this year Love you guys you make great content Thanks 👍🏻
A lot of people look at Welker Farms videos and enjoy the content, which I absolutely do. But lets all please not forget just how many people this farm has fed over the years and how many jobs its products have generated for the worldwide economy! What an absolute treasure that not many people seem to think about.
A good disk is wishek. Named after the town in North Dakota where they are made. They will tear through a paved road. Very heavy and strong. Love watching your videos guys thank you very much for the food. I used to be a small Rancher but now I drive semi hauling grains for farmers.
Need to have a "Robert Welker Dad joke" counter in the corner of the screen, he never seems to run out of those. Another great video, hope harvest is going well and stay safe. 👍👍👍
First and only YT channel that has addressed the ad content. I am so tired of seeing criminal career politicians spewing absolute nonsense every ad. If we lose 2020 senate or presidential positions, i am truly scared for the future of my children.
Cool to see that old iron workin hard and turning dirt you don't see any tractors like that here in Texas but keep that old iron running and God bless yall and I hope y'all have a great harvest and a great profit
Had the same problem years ago in some very dry wheat stubble. We had hauled over it several times with a vac tank so it was packed down on top of just being hard and dry. Fold the wings up on your disk. Takes forever to get over but the added lbs per square inch will get you down to those roots......... love the videos guys!
Dad Welker's puns and or comments..... Priceless ! ... not to mention his explanations for things on the farm and how they work are money in the bank !
You should use Casoron G4 in your shelter belt. Doesn’t kill any wooded plants but prevents weeds, grass and anything else growing for 2-3 years. We use it on our raspberry patch to keep the grass down and it works amazing. Strongly recommend.
Hey guys thanks for the awesome video. And Bob great to see you and your granddaughters. Man that’s some hard ground you were disking, take care and be safe guys 👍
The farm I work on here in Belgium also uses a case 8230 combine with a 24 foot header on it. Winter wheat harvest has ended almost two weeks ago over here
My dad had a farm and he had a tractor that was a 525 and I dont know exactly what year it was but it was AWSOME! He called it the big thud because it made a thud noise all the time.
Hahaha yes, a mention for us long time viewers from Down Under!! Will have to look into what FBN offers now that they have arrived. All the best Welker's, keep it up
Lots of those old Krause discs still goin! They are tough well built! Say, y’all go check out my friend Jim’s little UA-cam channel, it’s called “Field Rows” good people that grow cotton and peanuts in Florida! You’ll be glad you did 👍🏼
It was good to see the big bud doing a bit of work and it was good to see the old John Deere doing some work and again another great video keep up the great work
Great video! Their is a farm here in cottonport Louisiana who has a big bud h.n. 250 which they use to disk down corn stubble after corn harvest with a 34 foot sunflower disk.
Our daughter, SIL and crew are at Chinook harvesting. We all live on the South Plains of Texas close to Lubbock in Floydada where we farmed for 40 years.
I think it would be awesome if you picked up and old Steiner or Ventrac with a 60” mower deck for the Matriarch to drive. I would rework it to look like a baby Bud, and put duals on it just because. It would rule the lake house too, great for 30 deg slopes. I have a Steiner 430 max, which would be a nice fit, but I’m not planning to sell it any time soon.
Australia is having a good year with their cropping because of good rains. Like one says don't count your chickens before they hatch or till grains in the barns. The farmers are happy so far with the outlook though still nearly 1.5 - 2 months before harvest starts and a lot can happen until then. Hello Aussies and wishing the farmers good rain till seed setting from Benalla Victoria Australia. Welker's, we wish you all the best also with your harvest.
Hi Nick Welker, yes mate we do have Aussie bucks back in the olden days it used to be like England grate British Pounds before dollars rolled in it has been dollars for a very long time
Went through Shelby on Wednesday wish I would have had a chance to stop and say hi. But I had to get to Larslan Montana to load yellow peas for Minot AGT
Yes we have some big farms in Western Australia, Merredin Farms is 450,000 acres in size, but they use those silly Green Combine Harvesters, and Esperance to the South has farms up to 200,000 acres. It’s great to see lots of traditional family farms still operate across the Wheatbelt of West Australia that are between 5,000 to 20,000 acres.. it’s great watching the similarities of wheat farming you do to what we do here. 🇦🇺 🦘 🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺. Keep up the great content.
Have you guys ever thought about trying a krause dominator disk ripper? It’s true that you wouldn’t get as much ground coverage per pass but I’d say it would give favorable results
Here in Argentina, traditional tillage is also returned if tillage based on agrochemicals does not result due to certain environmental conditions. greetings
My grandfather was the grader driver for our small city in NH. He learned his skills as a tank driver in World War 2. When I was a kid, he'd be plowing the snow into huge furrows in the middle of the road for the giant snow blower to load into trucks. The best sound of a heavy storm was when all this equipment idled down in front of my house and an air horn blew, letting me know Grandpa wanted me to go riding! Those memories are 50 years old...
We had a hay field we needed to replant and it was hard as concrete. We took a regular disk and it just rolled on top of the ground. Got a heavy offset disk and it cut right through it.
That dog of yours is something else! I like most of my animals fried and on my plate. But 'tween chasing rabbits 🐇 and standing on the outside platform on the go, that's a good dog 🐕 👍
Looked like you guys had a loose disc gang on that front right inside gang, could be a bearing out too but it looked loose in the clips I saw it in, awesome to see you guys break out the disc, I know y’all don’t run it much but in rice country we have to pull them every year and that stuff can get rough
Hey Walkers, if u should look on UA-cam at Midwest fabrication they are the next town over from where I live in Australia and they make a 60 foot Draper front the biggest in the world. Love ur videos great to see the difference between here and Montana
I wonder how the pillars compare to a slab when you get a big wind? We all know you guys do get wind out there! Great video with Dad in control. Score 2 for Dad on the quip contest.
Kobey seems to be the most awesome dog! I love how he stands on the Big Bud's front fender like he's supervising.
He is their GPS autosteer if they start to go off line he barks though though other GPS he can be prone to dropping out usually when he has seen a rabbit
Yes, I agree. He has to have some hearing loss from the loud diesel engine! Ha
He is a supervisor or as we call it the gaffer ( aka the boss)
E
He is
Really nice to see the grandchildren ridin along with u Bob 👍👍
👍
It's really enjoyable to see your dad get more comfortable in front of the camera.

Very glad you have a decent crop finally
The grand daughters will remember riding in that tractor with grandpa, the rest of their lives. A special time.

The highlight of this video is loyal Kobey laying on that tractor! He kills me! He loves his daddy! Great video Dad!!!!
Need to have a "Robert Welker Dad joke" counter in the corner of the screen, he never seems to run out of those. Another great video, hope harvest is going well and stay safe. 👍👍👍
Hope Bob's wife don't see the end of this video.

I think Coby has the best place to ride on that Bud. What a great dog.
Cool to see that old iron workin hard and turning dirt you don't see any tractors like that here in Texas but keep that old iron running and God bless yall and I hope y'all have a great harvest and a great profit

Dad Welker's puns and or comments..... Priceless ! ... not to mention his explanations for things on the farm and how they work are money in the bank !
Enjoyed seeing the 4520 stirring some dirt again.
Love those witty phrases Robert.👍👍
Great Vlog, Good to see the Big Bud and JD in action. Good also to see the next bin build and the mower repair
You should use Casoron G4 in your shelter belt. Doesn’t kill any wooded plants but prevents weeds, grass and anything else growing for 2-3 years. We use it on our raspberry patch to keep the grass down and it works amazing. Strongly recommend.
Interesting thanks
Love the videos. Makes me think of being on my grandparents farm every summer as a kid
Kobey is a awsome dog. Standing guard on tractor looking for rabbits. Looking forward to harvest.
Greetings from Perth Western Australia
Can't beat the video - Grandpa with the Granddaughters - they will remember that ride many years down the road
Your dad seems like a true gentleman farmer. 🙂
Another cool thing about Australia is we got some good wide spread rain this week.
"...that was two months ago." That grin says it all... ^_^
I’m a farm hand from Australia and I love farming
Love how the dog sits on the fender as a look out.or maybe sun bathing
Lol Bob... and Millennial Farmer will love the green tractor... saving the day on the weeds
Looks like the old Bud rides really well.
Hey guys thanks for the awesome video. And Bob great to see you and your granddaughters. Man that’s some hard ground you were disking, take care and be safe guys 👍

Alright so if I were to join fbn who's code do I use. Yours or that actor's over there in Minnesota playing melenial farmer. 🤔
Your dad just has the coolest dog in the world...
Great video Welkers
The main thing is keeping them maintained to do the work guys. Thats usually the battle there in getting things done.
That disk was probably built 28 miles from me here in central kansas, even cooler is my uncle worked for Krause for 50 years!
Hahaha yes, a mention for us long time viewers from Down Under!! Will have to look into what FBN offers now that they have arrived. All the best Welker's, keep it up

Your dad is a beauty! All those slyly worded jokes. Keep it up fellas. Very entertaining videos.

Same thing happened to me on 320 acres this year.
I would love to come and visit you guys cause its so inspiring

Great way to save soil nutrients. Should make great winter wheat ground.
Grandpa Welker needs his own comedy show!
You need to put some sand bags on the plow to get some down force ( great advice as an after thought!).
Bob and his puns always make me bust up laughing!!!
Hi Nick Welker, yes mate we do have Aussie bucks back in the olden days it used to be like England grate British Pounds before dollars rolled in it has been dollars for a very long time

That's a GREAT utility truck 😲.
Does everything 😁

It amazes me that Kobey will stand there on the fender
Moabite! LOL Love your sense of humor gentlemen. God Bless.
Does that make Bob, Boaz?
Best way to get rid of the ads, is to CAST to a telly. This way you don't get ANY ads. (Or maybe just one or two every 20 vids or so).
Rich(UK).
Love your videos keep up the great work and God bless you all

Hey Nick, I a from Australia and Male roos are called bucks
I've probably done close to 100 000 acres with a 44' Krause disc exactly like that. Was nothing but trouble lol bearing after bearing
Love your videos 🤟🏾🤟🏾
You should come to Australia and i could give you a tour of our 600+ acre grass fed beef farm.
My grandfather was the grader driver for our small city in NH. He learned his skills as a tank driver in World War 2. Can you do a shop tour
We had a hay field we needed to replant and it was hard as concrete. We took a regular disk and it just rolled on top of the ground. Got a heavy offset disk and it cut right through it.

We would have did more work on it but was only 80 acres and busy getting harvest ready
thanks for sharing
Hey Walkers, if u should look on UA-cam at Midwest fabrication they are the next town over from where I live in Australia and they make a 60 foot Draper front the biggest in the world. Love ur videos great to see the difference between here and Montana

So the 600 bud is just a really big hydraulic pump right now 😂😂
I have a dream of seeing that BB with a big offset disc behind it😍😍
