I also had alopecia areata many years back, consulted the doctor who advised me to apply Minoxidil. Other than that I used to apply a paste of garlic and ginger daily. After few days new hair growth started.

I was facing the same problem last year. It takes its course of time to be honest. I remember being really conscious and stressed for almost 3-4 months then it started regrowing. The things that helped me-
Taking morning sun
Using onion/garlic on the affected area
Taking good care of diet, not stressing much
Workout
Hair vitamins- I used Keraglow eva and Follihair as prescribed by my doc and minoxidil on the affected area.
whoever is suffering from it, I know what you are feeling but it will get better, I always wished for people who would say the same to me but I’m here and trust me, no shampoo or whatever is gonna help the hairfall. Just follow all what I have mentioned and you will get it back ❤️

For those who are suffering from this (alopacia) they can use hibiscus flower on the effected area till the hairs grow.First crush that flower and apply its juice on the effected area.It helped me when i used it.

Since my childhood my granny used to oil my hairs with coconut oil and letme tell u I have low porosity hair but my hairs were always very thick dense smooth and soft then
when i grew up a bit i came across these videos and started buying expensive hair serums and tonics and stopped using oil but it made my hairs go really worse i started having extreme hairloss and my hairs actually became 1/4 of orginally how much i had
Many people commented this same that what happened to your hairs 😢
Then when my hairfall became bad the i went to the doctor and she gave me a serum and told that oil is bad when i u asked her if oiling might help
So again i applied serum and absolutely no oil and my hairs kept going worse
Then i was like fck all and started applying oil kept it for 3 hours and washed it later and sometimes i would keep it for one whole day and let me tell you
Washing your hairs after applying oil gives results which not even the expensive tonics can give and oiling regularly made my hairfall less worse
So duck dermatologist i honestly dont care now ill apply oill now no matter what 😊

Dermats will always going to tell you taht oils are not going to work. It isn't profitable for them actually. I had very thin hair plus a lot of hair, I went with dermats advice and stopped hair oils. My hair became worse with seborric dermatitis. Actually you have to massage properly your hair after oiling. Also try to keep ur head downwards while messaging.
Using the correct oils for ur scalp is the key. For ex --castor oil doesn't suit my hair at all. But coconut and rosemary has done wonders. Again, the key is massaging the scalp for at least minutes. And women should first watch their hormonal health to curb hairfall.
