Truth Project p9 Life

This series explores the age old battle of Good vs Evil. Man is transcendent, therefore the spiritual battle of truth would be of eternal importance. The apostle Paul wrote "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" Ephesians 6:12. Welcome to the Truth War.
In part 9 we hear from John Piper as he discusses John 1:4 "In him was life." and how this is opposite of the atheistic world view that says physical matter gave rise to life.

"Try and truly disprove it - you can't." You're going to wish this was harder.
Gen 1-3 (first day) "God called the light "day".
Gen 1-16 (fourth day) "God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day."
So we see that 'day' proceeded the sun. So did plants (day three) and the moon is called another great light. Three errors easily made by someone 4000 years ago but would not be made today by someone with a grade 6 education. It's just not reliable.

Umm....why is he claiming atheism has a 'World View'? When did atheism ever make a claim about Cosmology?
Last I checked even Cosmologists admit no one knows what existed before the Big Bang. But why is his beef not with Cosmology instead of a group that, you know, has nothing to say about physics?
I mean I'm sure he put alot work into his speech. It's a good speech. I like the laurels particularly. But he could have saved considerable time just saying "Atheist's don't believe in God."...

But what makes that true?
Is it the Bible because this is the same book that says daylight doesn't come from the Sun among other things. From where I stand it does not have a great track record on being accurate.
You see from my point of view it's a terrible thing to think because this is the only life I think you'lll ever see. I would hate to see someone live their life only for the expectation of the next one. It so devalues possibly your only life to say your dead inside.

...Far be it from me to tell him how to spend his time. Just seems a bit of a waste is all. I mean I could make a speech saying Xtianity tells us Vanilla tastes better than Strawberry but you can't just say it and then it's true.
Consulting a dictionary would have been nice.
Just saying.
So...we're all spiritually dead...AND Extraordinary? Does he mean in a good way cause he's kinda harshing here.
