Sad but if Oprah wasn't so materially wealthy she'd be able to understand these concepts a helluva lot faster. Riches prevent people from seeing the Truth. Even when they begin to get some of it, they never can get all of it and hold onto their wealth, so they have to keep blinders on, that allow them to keep their personal riches. Essentially they choose material wealth over spiritual wealth.

It's not like those same scientists have the answers my friend. Ever read Richard Dawkins God Delusion? "I suppose" "I guess" "I would imagine" stuff like that. The bible is clear on such issues "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" and we all know for a fact life, does not come from non-life, blows all their theories right out of the water. Then there's the world-wide global flood that did occur which real scientists look at the Grand Canyon or fossil record & it bears witness

But the bible is not a scientific book, however, anything scientific in it has always been accurate and that should tell you a lot since the writers were all from the pre-scientific era and did not have any of the technology we have today. Nothing in the bible is outdated. It told us what would happen - For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers (Oprah, Eckhart etc.), having itching ears; 2 Timothy 4:3

Read "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart Ehrman and stop cramming simple minded fundamentalist definitions down our throats. The Bible was written by men, copied by men and translated by men all with their own personal agendas. The real Jesus was lost in the process. The only way now to find him is to go within in meditation. Try it sometime instead of parroting the empire building slogans drafted by the executives of the Catholic church and passed on by other religious entrepreneurs.

Oprah I believe that somewhere down the road you were misled and taken down the wrong path. Why else would you stop believing in God and his teachings? I learned the hard way from listening to some of the New age speakers on your show, I ended up in a real empty place. Eckhart Tolle is a fraud. Oprah is awakened and her Presence is the spirituality raising the field of consciousness of the interviews with Tolle; Tolle is just a good writer re contextualizing the work of others now. Stay away from all the recent work of Tolle, Dyer, and Chopra... they are all fallen guru consumed by ego.

The basic concept of the bible is not moral values although some were given such as in the 10 commandments - but "the law was given" watch this now "so that the offence might abound" so that people would know they offended it and know that they are sinners. Look... for most of you who are Christian on here... that is fine. I have seen the teachings of Christianity change the lives of many friends, for the better. However, the same can be said of other beliefs also. Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Muslims, Pagans... they all have experiences relative to their own lives, their own perceptions and outlooks. I do not believe in "absolute" truth. I believe that truth is relative, regardless of the belief system you follow.
