- In this video I discuss how to make fake fangs with Thermoplastic pellets. Thermoplastic can be used for a ton of things in your costume. It's perfect for making teeth cus it's natural drying is close to that of natural teeth! Also, excuse my eye rubbing, I got bronzer in it right before I made the video.
For those of us who don't have super white teeth..you can use tea to stain the plastic to color...Boil some water put tea bag in.. Then once it has darkened the water reheat the water..insert the beads you want to stain...let em melt in tea water..then kneed the beads.. Put em back in tea water and keep repeating til enough tea color has been kneeded through❤ note* you can run the tooth under cold water to see how stained it ended up because color will change as it cools...so after you cool it you can see if you like the shade if not put it back in the tea water and kneed it some more..coffee works too just has to be hot enough for the beads to turn clear and be kneedable😉

So are you using Hair dryer Instead of Hot water to melt this Beads good ideas and it will save a lot of times
BTW: I think Coolmorph are the best when it comes to this product it's easy to work with , also it's far Flexible from the one your using

I'm actually using a heat gun but a hairdryer should work too, but not as well since heat guns get much more hot. And thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind when I need to buy them again!
Do you push the Plastic Between your teeth?
what kind of container are you heating them in?

Right away I thought Murdoc when I saw Jo.
I tried shaping my fangs freehand like you did, but it was not coming out so great because I suck at that sort of stuff. I did however try a "cheating" method by using some of those cheap party fangs that come in a lot of colors as a mold for the fang itself and then i would just melt the base to shape it to my teeth. They come out evenly that way.

Oh my looord, I had wondered for sooo long how you made your Soul Eater teeth lol. Thats the first costume I ever saw ya in lol.
I ended up making my Rin teeth with wonderflex and fake finger nails, and we had soooo much drama with them it was ridiculous...now im considering just redoing them like this lol.

Only question is, the vid i saw, the lady made a bridge behind her teeth so you could actually drink n speak. Im having issues getting them to join, but i guess superglue to the rescue? Great vid. Question, I have had soooo much truble with fangs staying in and I was wondering how well do those stay? I'm really worried that it's gonna turn out like the rest of the fangs I tried out so are there any tips that you could give me if I do have trouble keeping them in? Thank you so much!
+Mikayla Bartley When making these, you just have to make sure your teeth are dry when you mold them, and make sure you have enough plastic to mold around your whole tooth, the back as well. If you do those things, you shouldn't have any problem with them staying in. With wear, they may get a bit loose. If that happens, I think you can just heat up another pellet, put it inside the tooth you already made, and re-mold it to your tooth.

@@CosplayManiaa when you first put the teeth in when your molding them, is there any possibility they'll stick and wont come off? Or is it like 99% safe

Do they fall off easy?
Hi I'm not the video creator but I've worked with thermoplastic, if you mold the plastic very snugly around your tooth it does not fall off easily at all! If you find yours are slipping off easily it kind of helps me to smoosh a little extra behind my teeth so it has a little more tooth to grip but otherwise it just snaps very snugly onto your teeth, fits like a glove and won't move until you pull it out!

Oooh question though, is anything needed to make them stay secure after a while, or do they stay in the constant shape of your teeth? Like does the plastic bend at all?
+Caroline candybkins I haven't had any problems with them bending after a while. Make sure the back of the tooth has a lot of plastic to stay on though, if that makes sense. I think if they start getting more loose after a while, you can just warm up another little pellet and stick it in the middle then put it on your tooth again, that should work!

Funna Cos-play oh no i just meant, like will they just automatically stick to each other for a full mold?
+Caroline candybkins Ohh! They do at first, but tend to fall apart. You can superglue them together, or we usually just put them together one-by-one or two-by-two (depending on how many are still stuck together) in our mouths and they just stay on. You do have to figure out which way to put them together, though, like a puzzle.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! As for my teeth, I naturally have decently white teeth but I have also used Chest 3D Whitening Strips in the past and they work like a charm.

So yea.. this stuff does NOT stick to itself unless BOTH "pieces" are HOT, and MELTED. I tried this.. and all of them fell apart and seperate as soon as I took them out.. :(

I think this is an amazing concept! I've been trying to do my full front just like your friend's... all at once. I do not recommend this method. I find that they are hard to get soft with water unless it is boiled, and impossible to do is accurately as one full set. Doing one at a time seems like the most sensible solution to my problem. Thanks so much!

I made mine and I LOVE THEM THEY ARE WAYYYYYY BETTER THAN THE FAKE FANGS THAT YOU SHAPE YOUR TEETH INTO THIS WAY GIVES YOU MORE CHOICES TO MAKE YOUR FANGS

I've tried several times now, I used the same method, following the steps you did, but it wouldn't work... My plastic beads just stuck to my fingers no matter how hot or cold I heated them. Also, they wouldn't stick to each other very well. If I heated them really long, they just turned like a paste which stuck to the plate I was using. Do anyone have any advice on what I'm doing wrong? Really need the fangs for my cosplay in a few days :/
Nevermind, I found out I used the wrong kind of beads, I bought both of ebay and they looked the same except one pair was yellow ish and one was white, DON'T but the yelllow ones if you're going to make theese kind of teeth as they have other properties and isn't made for this kind of thing!

No!! The ones in bean bags are usually kind of like Styrofoam loool these are plastic, and even then a certain type of plastic that is safe and easy to mold.

I've never done it, I'm not really sure. I'd be wary, but there's no harm in trying!

is there a way to dye/paint thermoplastic? I have permanently coffeestained teeth and I'd feel awkward having white fangs and yellow teeth under it
Ben Nye has a lot of different colors that you can paint right onto your teeth, I've used the tooth blackout to paint the plastic black before. There are also other companies that have paint for your teeth, just google tooth paint :)
