I bought a cheap K40 laser a couple months ago, and I still haven't been able to get it to work. The X axis shudders, when the gantry gets toward the front left. Cannot figure it out. This laser would help to ease my frustration.

What is the thickest ply that it will cut through? I noticed they are $199 on the site. I’m a beginner and was looking to get a starter machine, my husband has been bringing me tons of veneer type plywood. I just don’t want to make an investment in something that isn’t going to even cut, but just do engraving’s. Thanks for and info.

It can cut 1/4 inch but takes several passes. I recommend stopping at 3 mm
