    Cell Phone Service: Bell, Telus, Koodo & Virgin Mobile - cell service was poor. Dropped calls. Lots of buffering. Very unreliable. If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service, especially if your with a service provider different from the ones mentioned.

    Thank you for your always "enjoyable, helpful video. I always check out your videos before we head to our new park. This trip we are leaving our roomy, warm, comfy travel trailer behind and heading to MacGregor with our tent next week for our first visit. Haven't camped in a tent for 25 years. Well, it is an electric site and we are taking our box heater! Your review was helpful as you've saved us the work of packing our kayaks so thank you! Looking forward to continuing watching. Happy fall camping.

    Thank you for the review. I have MacGregor Point on my bucket list. Enjoy your 5 park trip. I’m looking forward to the reviews. I’ve been to Driftwood. Love it. Had a site on the water, back then I had a tent. The goal is to go back and enjoy again, also on the water, with a power station! I did Mikisew last year for a weekend. I agree with you on returning for a longer stay to really get a feel of the park. Take care!!

    This was also our goto park when we used to camp with our kids and tent trailer over 30 years ago. Now, as retirees with our new travel trailer, we went back sans kids in June. It was like going to a new park.! We loved it! Took our bikes and made use of the trails and explore areas of the park we hadn't seen in so long. Our site was private, yet roomy. Even though we don’t have a dog, we enjoyed the dog beach. This park will continue to be one of our goto parks. Thanks for the updated review!

    Hello! Two weeks ago I was camping at Samuel de Champlain P.P. (Sammy D.) with my family. This park has been our go to since my kids were little and now I am bringing in the grandkids. To my surprise and delight I saw your Camping with the Coles sign and saw Ben walking your pup. I am a Ontario Provincial Parks enthusiast, and have spent much of my time exploring new parks and areas. I have also viewed many of your videos which have been helpful in choosing where to go next. Note: my daughter had a good chuckle and my reaction to seeing you there! My fav UA-camrs!

    Thanks for your great campgrounds reviews. It’s so valuable to see the different campsites with your camera, and helps us plan our trips.
    Unfortunately, we need decent cell service in order to go camping (for work, and staying in touch with family).
    Between Point Farms, Inverhuron and MacGregor, do you happen to remember which one is best for Bell cell reception?
    Thanks so much in advance! Have a great 2024 camping season!

    I and my family have been going to MacGregor Park for 3 generations now my first trip I was 3 months old and I have loved that park ever since from tower trail to sunset point and all the trails in between so much to see and do there. My favourite memory of MacGregor is when my family and the naturalist from the park went on an "Owl Prowl" which is where we walk down a trail and call in owls using owl calls and this one time we got them calling back to the song "who are you" by The Who was a hoot pardon the pun. we enjoy the seasonal winter camping every year and have been for 12 years now a great way to store the trailer over winter and still be able to use it. definitely would highly recommend it if you are ever thinking about trying winter camping out. Ps love the videos! I always look for your guy's videos on the parks when I am planning my trips. I just came back from a week at Kettle Lakes Provincial Park and loved that park would highly recommend that park to you guys lots to do there.

    Your videos are great. Big time camper from many moons ago and wanting to get back in but have been scared off by lack of sites to book. When are you at these campgrounds that are so empty? I only camp in Provincial / National parks but its been 20 years.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  Рік тому

      The parks often look empty because when we film the campsites we do that in the afternoon during the time that people have left and the new people haven't yet arrived. I try to film empty sites so that you can see the sites better and I'm not recording people that might not want to be recorded. With things like beaches and playgrounds I don't want to be the creepy guy filming the kids. So, I make a concerted effort to try to record with as few people as possible.
      I hope you get back into it. Camping is great!
