Yeah, George had more style, wearing blazers and suits before he started dressing like a dad; Elaine had a cute, mousey/librarian look before her eventual change into high-fashion; and Jerry dressed more youthful and relaxed before he shifted to "business-casual". Kramer barely changed, except that his unique look became more refined. I'm convinced that his wardrobe scarcely has anything made after 1980.
NY city is, basically, terrible. You need nerves of steel to live there. I have known a few people who were broken by that city, including a brilliant businessman
@James Sandy This was in season 1. I think they changed it in season 3. Jerry also lived in apartment 5A for 99% of the show. Whether they were just mistakes or whatever they showed his apartment number as #411 in one episode and 3A in another episode.
_Odds and Evens_ was eclipsed by _Rock, Paper, Scissors._ I'm not sure why: the former is more efficient (no ties and the same odds as a coin flip without having to deal with rules about catching, flipping, "interference," &c.) Perhaps kids didn't want to even the rudimentary arithmetic required for it?

People were growing up slower. Yuppie culture took hold. People were entering jobs in major metro hubs more than ever ~ females were entering media industry jobs & working their way up ~ groups of young proffessionals were hanging out together after work & on weekends ~ A different lifestyle had evolved. No one ever calls out the fact that they both throw the wrong numbers the last round. Jerry has Odds and George has evens but Jerry throws a 2 and George throws a 1. Both cheat at he end and no one says a word.
I think: the odds and evens only refers to who gets the points ( if the sum is even or if it’s odd) as opposed what they can put in. Else even + odd would always give you odd.
It refers to the total number of fingers out between the two people. If you're evens, then you win the round if the sum of fingers is even. If you're odds, you win the round if the sum of fingers is odd. So, you have to try to predict how many fingers the other person will put out.
2:35 I love how George even takes his glasses off to concentrate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how childish they all are. Such immaturity from grown adults. It's hilarious and right up alley 🤣
George is the worst.
Elaine with the tape measure😁😂
I love George's pronunciations..
I love how they look in the early seasons. And jerry's apartment

Never heard the honking outside after this episode, except with the Mike Moffat parking ordeal.
I like how he waits to see what it is before he protests.
Exactly. So George.
There is no such thing as interference in coin flipping. It can hit anything.
What if it hits a magnet?
George is such a whiner.
that's because George is a weasel
Irritating short ass...
Best character on the show.
Hands down best character
George and Jerry best duo ever 😁
That is a lot of hair on George
Three years is such a huge commitment
Love elaines whole look in this scene. Her hair, jewelry and the outfit. Beautiful

What do u mean by that? Break a person how like with the cost?
It's a mecca of crapitalist indentured servitude. And it smells funny, I bet.
I'd love a follow up to this comment with some elaboration. I've only been to New York once but I definitely got a vibe of unbearable competition
I barely recognize Jerry's apartment here. When did they change it?

Why did I put out 2 😂
just noticed he actually put out 1 in the last one
I don't want it
I want it if you don't want it
The moment he lost the coin toss just admit it you lost...instead you keep loosing
You're not losing, the outcome is the same.
Had he won it wouldn't be even up for debate.
3 year lease. That’s excessive.
George the lawyer

You’ve never flipped a coin?

How I learned about the choosing game
I have never heard of/seen "choosing" before or since this episode. =)
@@bossfan49 I think most people do rock, paper, scissors or “Roshambo” in situations like this.

For those times when Rock Paper Scissors just doesn't cut it.
How could I want it now if you want it
I see gorge worked at Best Buy
gorge toy? or what type of gorge?
Oh no Georgie Boy…
Crazy that Julia and Jason weren’t even past 30 year during the filming of this. It seems like with every new generation, the people in it age less.

What is the game that they were playing that looks like rock paper scissors?
Bad losers are ALWAYS funny!!!
Can someone explain to me that game?
Shoot mined
which season is this i think i missed it
Season 1
What's that "shoot" thing they're doing ? How does it work ?
Jim Reily they each put out a number. They add the numbers together and depending if the number is odd or even that person gets the point.
@@12Blueace Ahh cool thanks. That actually makes a lot of sense. I couldn't hear it in the show, is there a name for this type of game ?

@@bossfan49 thats not fair at all lmao. It obviously goes towards evens. you have 2 options to get evens but only 1 to get odds.
Evens have better odds (unless there's an option of putting out 0)

Wait, what? Here are all the possibilities:
A B
1 1 = 2 -> evens wins
1 2 = 3 -> odds wins
2 1 = 3 -> odds wins
2 2 = 4 -> evens wins
They have the same odds.
How do you figure that?
