Thank you Alex for the great information. I'm so glad we came to Malta end of Feb beginning of March. The perfect time to visit in my opinion. Warm weather, but not unbearably hot, & busy but not overcrowded. This info is definitely going to help a lot of people. Keep up the great work ..xxx❤️
Thank you, I'm coming for a month to get the feel of the place and to make enquiries about living/work etc. Saw the podcast you did too, really helpful and entertaining. Please do more!
Alex I love your channel! I started watching as I am visiting Malta in July and your videos have been so so helpful and interesting. I think I will continue watching even after I have come back from my holiday! Yours are the absolute best videos about Malta that I have found.
Thank you for your helpful information, take no notice of negativity, you always give honest advice and the reality of all aspects of living in Malta. Thank you
Perfect Video. I was in Malta 12 times and never experienced bad things. Buuuuut it is good u spoke about it . Because everyone should know about bad things or something disturbing. Because this is really informative. And until Malta Tourism Organization starts to sponsor you, it doesn't matter what you say or record. You are honest. U do by yourself everything . And I am proud of you . Well done, Alex.
Great video. It is also important to mention that despite what travel agencies/ tour operators state .... people do live and drive in Mdina . As a resident i encounter daily shocked tourists who believe that it is a pedestrian city and i think its unfair to : a) false advertise and charge tourists b) see the tour guide hide when there are conflicts between residents and misinformed tourists .
Alex hello from Australia.......... love your videos ...... not only are they informative but also amusing........ I will be coming over for 2 weeks next year with my adult sons so they can see where I was born and their heritage..... Would like to stay in Sliema even though it is busy but if we come to Malta end of September to October hopefully the crowds have dissipated......... hopefully there are still a few sunny days left before autumn sets in...... Preference will be given to Airb&bs as I would like a room on my own so at least a 2 bedroom place as hotels will be too expensive for 3 of us.... you keep me up all night as I can not stop watching your videos.
The pick pockets are not Maltese definitely. The Maltese people by nature are honest people. We always trusted each other. This is happening since people from abroad started coming. Before they came we didn't even bother to lock our outside doors when going shopping from nearby. We used to sleep with our outside doors open. Definitely this was years ago not today. We don't feel safe anymore.
There is a portable solar panels for power , and solar generated electric fans that is common use in the Philippines , can purchase online . Because in the Philippines power interruptions also happen specially during summer.
Hi àgain, is Gozo also as crowded in Summer like say Valletta and does Gozo have power cuts as much? Thanks so much for your fantastic information, plus I love your accent😊
Thanks, Alex, for the excellent information. Arriving in Malta for the first time in October from Canada. I will definitely download your guide before I arrive. Can you tell me and others about cell phone providers and obtaining local sim cards or esim cards. I'm interested in purchasing an esim and would like to know my options. Thanks Alex!
All you are saying is true. I am Maltese and i think i am dying every summer with the heat. The problem of power cuts is the high demand of electricity even though lots of infrastructure has been done we still are going to have power cuts.Because of the extreme heat and heat waves we experience.Every you go there is airconditioning except outside 😊if we have no electricity they can't work.
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 😅
My power cut out while typing my last comment (I'm not even in Malta!) Let's try again lol. Last year where I am from there was a 'travel advisory' issued warning LGBT tourists not to visit, I think it is overblown but it did get harder to get a job or see a doctor so I left for the north of the country but it is SO COLD! I was raised in the subtropics with no AC and it is just how I am used to living. So I was looking for someplace warmer and saw Malta come up as not having had an LGBT murder in 20 years! Much better than home even before the issues. I'm not packing bags or anything but it looked like an option that isn't freezing in the Nordic countries (or where I am currently) but I was wondering how it really is. Tho I am not a 'party gay' so I am also wondering if there are quiet parts of Malta 😅? Grazzi!
A tip from a new yorker - carry a fake wallet in your back pocket for pickpockets to steal. Have a money belt or ankle belt for your real money and credit cards. If you are actually mugged, throw the wallet away from you and run. The mugger will go after the wallet, not after you.
Comparing the climate in Malta to the Sahara does not make any sense at all. The Sahara is dry with humidity levels that are even as low as 10-20%. Malta is humid yes, but not any more humid than anywhere else in the Mediterranean along the coastline. The white haze you mention is NOT humidity. It's dust in the air that gets blown over by Southern wind impacting huge areas of the Mediterranean as we've had in the past days.
Plus the countless times of sweeping the house every day because of sand, my daughter didn’t like the windows open because of this, she’d sweep the whole house then a few hours later sweep everywhere again.
Ground floor houses can have cockroaches issues, make sure you dont stock up your cupboards with food, any open food keep it in plastic containers, spray the edges of your windows and doors (from outside) with anti cockroaches solution and you will be good :)
Sorry alex comparing Dubai with malta is a stretch to far, comparing the haze of Dubai when it's hard to breathe to Malta weather is not reality, I like you but this is wrong information.
Every where in Europe is bad for pick pockets ! Use a fanny belt ! Always when u travle be smart ! Also never leave passport out ! Lock them up or better Carrie a copy of it

Plenty of quite places, watch my live streams and you will get an idea of the quite areas in Malta :)
Prepare some candles, a book and don't keep too many things in the freezer because we will have powercuts again...
How do you know ?
All you need to know about any details about malta with alex is better ❤
Shukran habibi ❤️
Summer, remember two weeks ago we say summer it's coming and now it's here.
Im happy, i love the summer here
In Senglea we had no power last summer for 3 days in a row. No AC, no Fridge nothing. Hell on Earth.
://// in Zurrieq in my house 12h only one day, from my apartment straight to a Hotel 🤣
My daughter regulars power cuts and that’s in a North Yorkshire village because of too many new houses
Cockroaches 🪳
Rats🐀
Reconstructions
Rubbish issues …
But I am still crazy in love with Malta 🇲🇹
❤️❤️❤️
Don't forget...diversity is our strength...

Now I am worried because of Airbnb. Thanks.🙄
Dont worry

It’s absolutely ridiculous that locals are plagued with noisy students.
Who is cocorogus??
Is a bug 😅 . Black and ugly
he meant cockroaches :)

Alex. As of July 1st, the black garbage bags will be transparent, this is to enforce public to recycle properly.
Thanks for this
Cockroaches not so small Alex, like something in a horror movie!!!! Still love the place tho.
And these are flying 🫣😃
Haha
They should start calling backpacks, frontpacks since you cant wear them on your back anymore XD
🤣🤣u have a point
You left out the most important thing: the cockroaches. Tell us more about it, or not, but yes please 😢
Plus the countless times of sweeping the house every day because of sand, my daughter didn’t like the windows open because of this, she’d sweep the whole house then a few hours later sweep everywhere again.

I lived in both countries. Summer is the same. I know Polish people that left the island after 2 days here because of humidity
