About to breed the does in the first sign of heat worked real good to De Nalle this past season and was her first time trying and did work for her. A few things I wanted to mention in the video and didn't: 1- Mocha and Gaia are both in heat here, BUT, I caught them early and so they don't look that interested, my friend Theresa shared that she only breeds as soon as she notices the first signs, and she gets more doelings, so I'm trying her method. 2- I did the same to Clara, and she didn't take on Sept 3rd, so I tried again yesterday on Sept 23, she should have taken, but I will keep an eye out, this is not a scientifically proven method, but I'm ok waiting one more heat if she didn't take. 3- I bred Mocha to Rocky and nor Clyde because I love the udders Rocky is giving me, so I can always do Clyde with Mocha next year, but I desperately want a Mocha+ Rocky doe to keep. 4- Rocky is not SLOW, or STUPID, as some people said in another video, he takes things easy, he is NOT A FIGHTER but he gets the job done every time, and I'm IN LOVE with his daughter's udders, Athene is the perfect example of why I need more Rocky girls, Aria and Ava have the longest teats for a yearling I've ever seen, Ava more than Aria ( both Rocky + Annabelle girls) and will both freshen in 2024. 5- Rocky is the best buck, he is the leader, but gentle as a baby, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and I'm lucky to have him. He is the best goat in our farm, I need a million clones of him, and soon enough I will be keeping a buck from him to continue his legacy when he gets older, thus far every boy has been banded. 6- We call him Taquito, that is his nick name here, so if you hear me or my husband say Taquito, we are referring to Rocky. 7 - We also call him "cielo" literal translation is "sky" but we use it instead of what here people use "honey" or "love" we also call him papi, I call most of the sweet boys "papi" literal translation "daddy" but we use it instead of "honey" or "love" it's a thing you call even real babies ( if they are boys) 8- This breedings may not work, we are trying the early method, and I know my girls enough that I can spot the early signs of heat, so once I expose them on the first day, I don't allow them to breed again while on "standing heat" to try this new "formula" but in some cases they will come back into heat if they haven't released the eggs that day. I'll share more about it soon. 9- I want to keep every daughter Clara gives me ( if any) but if she gives me 4 girls, I will be in trouble LOL
