Stupid question if I may….do the female goats head but or is that a male thing?
Not stupid question at all. YES they do!! There is a definite hierarchy in goat herds and they are constantly securing their place 😊
@@OzarkMountainGoats another question, do female goats have horns too?
@@mal1465 yes, there are a few goats that are born and don't grow horns but in general they do. We disbud our goats at a very young age. This is done with a hot iron to the horn bud that removes the capability for them to grow in most cases. This is done for several reasons. Horns on goats are not allowed in ADGA goat shows and some fairs. Another reason is because goats have a habit of sticking their heads through fences that causes them to get stuck and are very dangerous for the animal. Hope this answers your question.
Are they so active from the first day? They are so sweet. Adorable!
They get active pretty quick but it takes a couple days for them to really get their legs under them. And then watch out! They go like crazy!
