Christopher, you are too valuable to not be vlogging! I learn so much from you, especially the message today. I'm 74 and as I look back I don't feel like I've accomplished much or been an asset to the "world." But I realise I raised two wonderful sons and have two adorable grandsons so I am a pretty big help to them. I"m happy with my life in general--still have a horse to love as well as my dog and two cats. That's enough and I'm a very lucky lady. Thank you.

The fact that you are sleeping through the night after years of watching your videos where you did not sleep … more proof this is the correct decision. I live near a textile mill and rug mill here in upstate SC that sell wholesale to the public. Wish I could take you shopping, the prices are incredible!
My son has been going through a rough patch at his work over the past few months, which indicates to me that he has outgrown this place of employment. He is fearful of change and instability and has stayed for a longer period than the job has been a good fit for him. He has put way too much credibility on the value (or lack of value) his work associates have placed on him. He has finally taken the plunge to separate from this job and explore other opportunities that I know will add more joy and meaning to his life. Your remarks at the end of your video really struck home for me. Success is waking up excited for the day to come, going to bed at peace, and enjoying relationships with those who love you and think the world of you.
Your message 💯 resonated with me. Simply put my friend, it’s ok to “outgrow” certain situations or people. I love that. Often times we just feel stuck. It’s so sad when these jobs or situations steal our spirit. Self worth looks so different to so many people. Feeling content in your home life, relationships and/or career is just so important. My last job lasted 23 years. Even though I felt appreciated and valued at that job, it was extremely hard and my boss always had very high expectations of me. I felt that I had given all I could to my industry, tried to surpass any expectation and go above and beyond whenever possible. That was a season I am so extremely proud of but I knew it was time to move on at age 65. I needed to let go of the stress and demands on my time, so I retired 6 months ago. To be honest I have felt a little lost. I have traveled, done projects at home and now I need to know what is next. You make me feel like it is ok to embrace just being, taking care of myself and being open to what I can’t yet imagine. Thank you for sharing. It really is helpful.

I have some of the best conversations with my significant other over coffee as the sun is rising and the day is starting. And in the evenings as we wind down. You have so many gifts my friend. I don't think your job defined you, I think you defined your job. You made it the success that it was. I think whatever you decide to do with your day is fantastic. Oh my gosh, there are so many things you could excel in. How to choose? It will be so rewarding having experiment time. I think you could be a phenomenal full time you tuber. Companies like your mop vac would be loving sponsoring you. We all love when you cook, and your organizing and decorating is top notch. I could also see you owning a store like your friend who so graciously allowed us to visit her shop during vlogmas. Corporate just seems so soul sucking. Whatever you decide, you will be the best at it, because you give such heart to everything you do.

I loved this visit. Christopher, your thoughts about leaving your job at the end resonated with me so much. I recently left a job I was in from 2008 (Dec. 1 was my last day) and there was so much emotion surrounding this decision. You hit on a few of them. Additionally, I had to work through feelings of leaving friends behind--as if I was literally "jumping ship." I'm so glad for your insight--you beautifully put into words the feelings and emotions that went along with this decision for me. I really hope this helps some of your community here to find the strength to listen to their own intuition and make a move if their current situation doesn't fit. Yes to elastic waist pants!!! 💗💗💗

Might I suggest that before you wrap picture frames together that you paper wrap each individual frame before. Being stacked that tight might cause friction marks on the wood to the point they are damaged. The movement of the truck even being wrapped in blankets won’t stop them rubbing on each other. Just a tip. Loving all the videos and your lightness since you’ve started this new chapter! 😊

Christopher look into anti slip paw grips for Bubba. We adopted my in-laws 13 year old dog when they passed away and she hadn’t been use to hardwood floors. It helped her so much.

Just wanted to share - Whenever I wrap up wall pictures for moving, I always wrap them with the glass on the inside so that stuff doesn’t bump against them and smash the glass.
The record player! This is so funny! I grew up with 45s and 33s...playing records until my last couple of years in high school when the big new thing was cassettes! We thought we had arrived!! Jump a few years ahead when CDs came out and well...there was no looking back! To see how much some enjoy retro things is refreshing! Just need to bring back the music from the 70s and 80s!

I always say if you can afford it go with th bigger size.
I think you should lean into interior decorating when you get to Charlotte. Maybe you could get a job doing that part-time and continue doing UA-cam and maybe product development. I think you could definitely have a line of lifestyle products if the opportunity presents itself. ❤

I swear if I ever get a tattoo it’s going to be of one of the inserts that goes into a 45 record or the radiation symbol as my dad worked in nuclear energy. 😅 I read The Villa and liked it too. Have you read The Secret History (masterpiece) or The Cloisters? So good.
