Literally i ve took a trip to my youth in the 2000 hearing again this piece of art. Love from Chile
It's not even the music, it's the music video itself with all the edgy visuals.
I love this song so much i dont listen it whenever i feel like it, i wait a few weeks everytime just to have that nostalgic feeling again.
The lyrics are so meaningful. I always almost in tears listening to this masterpiece.
The icing on the cake is her lovely angelic voice which cleanses my soul

Oh, come now, God Save the Queen is Epic.The problem lies in trying to categorize some forms of music in the 80's and 90's as punk.
Who else gets goosebumps when that last singing crescendo 3:57 She sings with so much emotion and desperation and hope that it goes through your bones. Her voice by takes you on a journey. Coupled with the dramatic instrumentation it's even more powerful.
The violins give this additional effect as well.

I was searching for slayer (angel of death) then found this song and she has a lovely voice

Sharon has this amazing ability to go into this 'falsetto' voice. It really is something unique with her voice.
i stumbled on this video and this band has won a huge fan from Nigeria. I have watched several video and downloaded a ton of their songs. I'm in love with her voice.

It's funny how a video can completely change the song. The music video for this song makes it feel like a cheesy pop song, this lyric video is badass and makes the song sound like the dark, symphonic masterpiece that it is.
When Within Temptation still did music like this... feels good, every now and then, to reminisce.

This is a great band. Reminds me a lot about songs I used to hear in the 1980s, actually. Has a very similar sound but with the heavy guitars adding more depth.

Her singing is beautiful
First of all, the music video is super well done and i must say congratz and job well done on that. The song itself is pretty awesome, i really enjoy symphonic metal a lot and this band is just another addition to my list of awesome songs/bands. The High notes the lead vocalist is hitting are really, really intense and you have to respect the skill in which she sings and handles the high peaking notes. The guitar and Drums are really good too and the other instruments are very good.
This is one of my favorite song of theres. It's so, intens...Like, calming yet rocky...It's just epic!
One of a kind, amazing song, I listen this music in the radio years ago and I decide to find by the artist because I knew this is a within temptation song. The orchestra playing this live is something truly amazing

OMG so I’m absolutely in love with this song, and the the music, lyrics and Sharon’s voice are just epic. I’ve actually got a book in progress involving the Ice Queen, so here’s a scene I’ve written about her! The song lyrics basically describe her character perfectly:)
“The Queen would plunge the Enchanted Forest into an eternal winter, for all she cared. Just to display her strength and might.
NOTHING COULD STIFLE OR TAKE AWAY HER POWERS!
A few of her knights turned to look her way. "My Queen- are you quite all right?" They asked in thin, gravelly voices.
The Queen ripped off her eye mask, shoved it back into the pockets of her gown, and glared. "Oh, don't bother me with your false concern." Her eyes glowed with the flames of Icefire. "Act upon my former orders and be done!"
She gripped her reins and yanked, pointing forwards with a clawed index finger. "Get a move on!"
At this, her ice dragon gave a deafening screech, lurched back, dove, and surged forwards, the ice-edged wings stroking the air faster than ever before.

Power glowed from her hand and spiraled out. It wrapped around her sword, blasting out from the iron blade and striking a nearby cliff's edge. Rocks and frozen earth crumbled and fell away. Her knights and warriors began to shriek triumphantly in agreement.
Onwards and onwards they flew, nearing the forest with every mile. The Queen's horsemen thundered on.
Gray, darkening clouds slid over the sun. Another snowstorm. With the swirling, frigid air ripping past her ears, the Ice Queen opened her mouth wide, and allowed herself to scream a single, piercing battle cry.”

I went to Applepop in 2003 or so, free concert in a huge circustent, the Mother Earth album was the best i ever heared...and will be. I hope one day they continou with an album like that again ...

As i have said before, this band is VERY symphonic which i am kind of not a huge fan of, but some of there songs are okay, like this one for instance. You get the feeling that it's semi heavy from the instrumentals...the lyrics nab me every time because i love how the tree's look in winter and i love mythology, especially magic mythology, stuff makes my blood heat up haha, Ice queen just feels like it ties into magic mythology, at least for me. Thanks for the awesome video !_!

The character of the Ice Queen in this song is intentionally destructive and catastrophic. Elsa could barely control what she was doing. There's a difference.

In the original plot of Frozen, Elsa *was* going to be destructive and catastrophic. They just changed it later.
Isn't it "whenever she IS raging" ? That makes 100% more sense in the song too.
If you listen closely, you can hear clearly it's an "is" with an emphazise on the the "i" which makes it sound like there's an "h" before it because she lets the "she" before roll very smoothly into the next word.
This song gets better and better every time I play it.
Yeah, it's"Whenever she is raging, she takes a life away." I'm glad you caught that. It does make her sound more pure. Makes her seem more good than bad. The song is about winter, and it's my favorite season, so I made it my job to know everything about it.
