Years ago a teen was charged with murder.
They were going to charge him as a juvenile.
As the police led him into the station he told reporters and TV cameras.
He bragged about killing his classmate.
      And then said.
All these MFs can do is hold me till I'm 18 then they have to let me go.
      The charges were then changed.
He was charged as an adult and given a life sentence without parole.
He served one year in the juvenile facility then transferred to the adult prison for the rest of his life.

For everyone wondering, they lured a 15 year old boy who was a "friend" to a remote location where they beat him, shot him to death and then burned his body. They planned it in advance and made a cooridanted effort to make it happen. All were charged with 1st degree murder i believe they received life in prison, well 25 years for the 2 under 18.

There's a difference between being a criminal and having no capacity for guilt or moral compass. You can do something criminal and feel horrible about it, and then learn from it. Not everyone has that capacity, but have at least a little faith in humanity and give people the benefit of the doubt rather than assuming they only regret being caught. There are very few crimes that are the exception, the primary being first degree murder. But you shouldn't lump a thief in with a murderer in a generalized way like this imo.

If anyone is wondering, these kids r Amber Wright (15), Kyle Hooper (16), & Charlie Ely (18) (I might be wrong about the 18yo girl's name). They lured Amber Wright's ex boyfriend to Charlie's house so that Kyle & a guy named Michael Bargo could k*ll him. Amber's 37yo step dad helped them dispose of the body and clean up. His name was Seath Jackson, he was 15. He had a bad feeling about going to Charlie's that day, but Amber said she wanted to work it out. The details are terrible, & while I have a hard time with locking minors up forever, I still hope they never let any of these as*holes out.

For those that need context on what they did:
The second girl on the couch closest to the camera is named Amber Wright. She lured her ex boyfriend, Seath Jackson, over her boyfriends house for a bonfire party and assured Seath nothing bad would happen. that girls boyfriend, Michael Bargo, along with the kid to the right of the camera, Kyle Hooper, and another kid, not present in the room named roach (aka Justin Soto), ambushed, shot, beat and Brutally killed Seath Jackson. They Broke his bones, burned him in their fire pit (while continuing to party like nothing happened I might add) and then Put his remains in buckets. then had one of their step dads get involved who also assisted in dumping the buckets in a nearby quarry.
Charlie, the first girl on the couch, is actually out and free today.
