I disagree with the " behavior doesn't matter" in this show comment. Even in the show Jesus reprimanded John and James for what they wanted to do to the Samaritans .
Roman's 1v24 CLEARLY emphasizes that behavior DOES matter. These 2 guys are trying to make the Bible fit their personal lifestyles and beleifs.
Apparently many in CCM are doing the same. Truly sad to hear.

8:06 Utter blasphemy! As soon as you say that Jesus has flaws, you're talking about a Jesus that is absolutely NOT revealed to us by Scripture. The Jesus I know is the perfect, righteous Son of the Living God with whom the Father is well pleased! (Read Matthew 3:16-17)
Trying to make a version of Jesus that is different from the Jesus of the Bible is rooted in idolatry!

This is disturbing. This man literally just said Jesus had flaws. Why would you allow absolutely wretched heresy like that on your show? You are actively promoting Universalism.
Jesus was sinless but not without flaws. Flaws and sins are different. Being human means having flaws, and Jesus was fully human. Maybe Jesus couldn't bend down and touch his toes, or he had an annoying sound when he sneezed. "Flaws" that make him relatable like us.
Romanticizing Jesus will get us in trouble. Let him be human just as he was God.
@@joshkrato A flaw is an imperfection. Jesus is perfect. I see your point, but I don't think that not being able to touch your toes makes you not perfect. You can't objectively have an annoying sneeze, since the person who is annoyed is the problem.
What do you mean by "romanticizing Jesus?" The word "romanticize" means to "treat as idealized or heroic"
Jesus is the ideal. Jesus is the hero. Romanticizing Jesus is the correct reaction to Him.

Jesus never had flaws, he spoke truth man, what you said is very blasphemous.
The inner working of our heart produces behaviors though. Don't know that I can agree with him on that. Yes, we are all going to sin. And yes, we are all going to fall short. But... the behavior isn't ignored. We shall be known by our fruits. So, how can behavior not matter?
When you truly receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour your behavior will change. You will not want to do the things you did before Jesus, he would rather obedience than sacrifice.

the whole interview has turned out to be blasphemy...why would you lead a man astray from using Christian music? surely there could have been a better way to innovate a soundtrack...at least vetting the secular musicians to make sure they're not worshiping the devil to have their talent!
After reading your comment I listened again & my understanding of "flaw" was more that Jesus was tired, felt physical pain, emotional. He did ask his Father to take the cup from him. He is fully God, fully man & fully Holy spirit. Our human bodies are flawed. A better word? Sure, but I didn't hear blasphemy at all.😢 As for the music, it grew on me. The songs highlight what the scene is showing. "Trouble" is one of my favorites now. Makes me want to go out & 'Stir up the water'. That is what we are supposed to do right? Spread the Word! Not judge the flawed people. That's His job

We must have discernment, especially during these days where many false Christs have risen up. We can’t afford to water down the Gospel for the sake of entertainment. We’re talking about eternity here, and we cannot lead anyone astray by causing them to believe the lies in the Chosen.

The Jesus had flaws as a man. Read the story about him going to the well. He was tired. That is a flaw. That’s what he was talking about here. Use the brain God gave you instead of regurgitating dogma.
Also, flaws are subjective. Someone can be very charismatic and some may view it as a strength and some can view it as a weakness. When we read the Bible, we have to interpret. Interpretation can be a good thing. That’s why there are so many denominations. But this comments section just shows how divided and nitpicking the modern church body is. They hyper fixate on a small aspect that they disagree with and the whole message is lost on them.

all the "beautiful creativity" sounds pretty blasphemous to me...I'm glad to say, I'm an avid Bible reader and I've never seen more than a trailer for this show...😷
These guys are just the sound track. The show itself is scripturally very solid and definitely draws you to Jesus and scripture.

Have you watched it? I've watched the whole show so far and have found no scriptural issues. When I watch people who complain about the show, they are always complaining about the Mormon background of the director or the Catholicism of the actor or something they have personally said they people think doesn't line up with scripture. I don't care about the individual's backgrounds (though the Mormon background is definitely a concern), I care about the accuracy of the show's portrayal of scripture. Thus far, I haven't found anything to take real concern with and quite the opposite, the show has made me love the character of Jesus even more. His kindness, compassion, love for justice, holiness, etc., have all shined through in a way that is powerful and compelling.

"He doesn't just care about our behavior"...but our soul.....Man...that made me weep...There's always part of your head (as a Christian)...that has a constant sense of guilt...punishment you are going to get...how you need to be constantly judging people for their own behaviors.....but then ya...you see Jesus...what He did, ultimately on the cross for all of us....(Made me for a minute there...get "the Church"...out of my heard...and Jesus back into my heart...It made me weep...) I was just listening to someone on another You Tube...saying that JOC guys had "lost their religion"....If that's true, then why did what they said here...make me want to Love God more... do those 2 things Jesus said were most important...more? (People read Romans 1...the first part...and stop there...and forget to read thru the rest of it..and into Romans 2... (like 2:4)....and finally Romans 3:23-24. Some of the most beautiful of all Christian songs...were written by these guys....I think they will still be writing many more...

What does he mean by, "...He has his own flaws in a human way..?" I'm assuming he doesn't mean Jesus, the only man who has ever lived, who lived a perfect life and was flawless, had flaws. If not, what does he mean? Maybe just a poor choice of words to explain that the show makes Jesus more relatable and human than the black and white, emotionless versions that we are used to seeing?

Did he just say “he has his own flaws in a human way”??? I would say read 1 Pet. 1:18-19 and to the comment about we have been “fed a version of Jesus that only cares about our behaviors” I say read James 2:17-19. Don’t dumb down the teachings for goats instead of feeding the sheep.

Read your Bible. Thou shall not judge is taken out of context. Since people have twisted the meaning now look how many Christians act like everyone else.
This is called discernment and not judgement. God wants us to call out blasphemy when we see it, otherwise no one will know that Dan has spoken untruth.
Not a big fan of the wishy washy faith Dan shows and has shown for several years. Not a good interview for Christian Post. He says that the show is pushing back on bad behavior saying that it doesn't matter? Hmmm. I couldn't disagree more. The outward should 100% reflect the inward. Rotten root, which can't be seen and is on the inside, produces rotten fruit and the fruit is what people see and eat from. This worldly Christianity needs to not be shared, rather shunned and called out.
Oh.. and "It's hard to find a person that doesn't know Christ at all or that doesn't have their own version." What kind of message from the pits of hell is that? Though God desires that no man should perish, but all come to repentance, atonement isn't for everyone. You must be called.
Dan is sending a message that implies ‘all roads lead to Rome’ whereas Jesus said there is only One way to the Father. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
I’ve seen Dan on another interview with a ‘gay’ Christian woman, and He said that Jesus can be anything that we want Him to be… I don’t agree with that, as we will be transformed into His image and not the other way around.

Many compromised views here. The Rolling Stones is not exactly a moral band to promote :D The bible story doesnt have to be compelling, or make it more beautiful like a food package, as long as it is the truth and realistic to what happened. The world doesnt convince/convict you of Gods truth, the Holy Spirit does that. Imagination is not a thing you need when it comes to the bible story. That will remove you further from the truth.Jesus didnt use any imagination, only 100% unfiltered unapologetic truth. Jesus had no flaws, He was the holy sinless Son of God who taught us how to be perfect like Father God. It seems their thoughts today are more influenced by wordly acceptance of sinful things. I dont agree with many of their statements in general here.

I’ve never watched it and have no intentions of ever watching it. I love the Jesus I know, who has zero flaws and who doesn’t need to lower himself to fit in with us; and He alone is Holy and worthy of our praise 🙏

I just had a revelation, if thats what you call it. I think people are not wanting to label things as Christian, and try to relate to non Christians, or whatever they say, bc they want to appeal to people, and without feeling ashamed. Its their way of rejecting God. 😤 Sadly, the devil decieves all of us. Its time to stand firm on what we believe as Christians, and speak the Word.
