Honestly…. I was at a party the other night talking about how im going to see them but phil cant do these songs anymore….. boy was i fucking wrong he sounds AMAZING!!!
They never opened with this song. I saw Pantera 8 times and catered for them 6 times, everybody knows Pantera opened up with one song and one song only.
@@hectorvasquez3605 They opened with a different song just about every tour. And they did indeed open with this song in 96 when I saw them. You can look up the setlist...tried to link it and my comment got censored.
Awesome, Suicide Note Pt 2 is not a song I'd expect this version of Pantera to be playing. Now it would be REALLY cool if they played "Floods," that was my favorite track off The Great Southern Trendkill and it would be really interesting to see Zakk's take on the epic guitar solo section of the song.
my pops said the same thing, he still tells me how that was the best show ever! Pantera , white zombie and i think eye hate god opened. He say them at the forum in LA and said they had a fire in the center of the pit. wish i could have seen em! happy they are doing this tribute
Such a heavy monster of a song. /,,/ Trendkill doesn't seem to get enough love, I'd say front to back it's my favorite Pantera release. Every track is just so fuckin good.
I've got to give credit where it is deserved and they actually don't sound bad at all. In my opinion, that actually sounded pretty accurate to the studio recording.
1st time i seen pantera in concert was in 1994 I've seen em 5 times in the 90's I even caught 1 of Dimebags guitar picks, I hope i get to see them on this tour
Trendkill is my favourite Pantera album so I'm happy they're busting this one out again. Was worried it would be all Vulgar Display based on the earlier setlists
Awesome...I was at stage decades ago many times looking up at our brothers and meet and greets ...miss those days...glad the new gens have a chance with the PanterA experience! 333 Rock In Paradise Dime and Vincent CFH
The drums sounded a little tinny and hollow throughout most of the song. But at the end, they sounded perfect. Phil's voice is perfect too, better than it was back in the day. I love TGSK album and it's such a pleasure to hear this song.
Charlie Benante is one of the greatest drummers of ALL time 🤘 If his career wasn't already so fkn amazing, filling the shoes of Vinnie has been one more badass notch on the belt. The subtle nuances he nails perfectly are unbelievable!
@@Onewholovesrock 1st time I saw them the opening act had a boot thrown at their head (Sebastian Bach) and I saw multiple people bloody as fuck. Trendkill tour. 2nd time was more tame reinventing the steel tour. I think it was because the original show was cancelled and rescheduled....They let a bunch of women in for free to sell the place out.
Because we old heads are in our 40s and 50s now, and kids today are not the same 🤷 They have had GREAT crowds all over the world. These days the "pit" is all jumping and circle pits. I recently attended Cannibal Corpse in Denver...there was a huge crowd and good pit, but like no injuries til I got in there 😂 And my old ass hit the floor quick
Them playing this song live is proof that Zakk and Charlie were all in from the beginning! They were willing to learn any and all Pantera songs to make this tribute happen! I remember when TGST came out and the 1st time I ever heard this song, I immediately loved it! The fact that Phil acknowledged that the original band never played it live really means a lot to Pantera fans all over the world!
My first metal concert was Pantera biohazard and neurosis back in 96. I think my ears were bleeding after the show. Great Southern trend kill tour I’m happy to say I was there.
Great job and Phil does sound great ,Charlie on drums.....i be interested in getting a close up on Zakk....not a knock he's going to play the way he feels is appropriate ...but and a big BUT i know usually his guitars he doesn't have a whammy bar.....That song particularly Dime little rly takes off like a spaceship making the whammy making the guitar cry....Dime one of the best using the whammy....K.K Downing also,Rocky George comes to mind.......All the same great job by all on the song 🤘🔥🤘
This next song's our hit! YOu won't hear this song anywhere but on this stage or in your f*ing car and that's the way it should be!!
"Vinnie Paul on the drums, please cha cha cha!"
101 prroooofff
Or my neighbors.:)
Fuck yea brother 101 proof !! Whats done is done and gone so why cry
Forgot all about that. Thank you for the reminder
It’s insane how Phil is still able to pull off this song.
Honestly…. I was at a party the other night talking about how im going to see them but phil cant do these songs anymore….. boy was i fucking wrong he sounds AMAZING!!!
BEASTMODE UNCLE PHILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The more of Trendkill, the better. I'm so happy they played this.
Same can’t wait for more trendkill songs to be played
I cannot wait for more trendkill!!!!
My ALL TIME favorite PANTERA song!!
The song is so raw, unhinged, offensive, on point, relentless and wonderfully messy
And yet so beautiful
He so has his power back, takes me back to 96 when I saw them last
This song and Cemetery Gates for me. And maybe The Sleep. So many great songs.
This is the song. I agree
HOW DOES HE STILL DO IT 30 YEARS LATER. FUCK YES \m/
Man!!!! Phil sounds awesome. The whole band is doing an amazing job. Keep the legacy on.
Wish they woulda opened the set with this like they did back in the day.
The Great Southern Trendkill is their apex mountain.
They did in 96. Suicide note part 1, curtain dropped then they opened with this
@@calebclark6739 Saw them with Zombie that tour. So good.

Charlie sounds great, Rex sounds great, Zakk’s #GIFD, and Phil sounds especially fucking great. Rock the fuck on.
Dude.... I never thought I'd see the day... This is incredible.
Right? Nobody thought they'd ever tour again. The gods saw fit for them to return in this incarnation. We are blessed and awed! Pantera are gods!! 🤘🤘
Wow .. they still sound legit to the album .. pretty impressive
Well, technically Rex and Phil do, yes. Zakk and Charlie don't "still". They just "do".

💯
I think floods makes Phil sad because of dimebag
"Floods" has the heaviest "Breakdown" ever. I don't care what anyone says. My favourite Pantera song of all time.
Floods breakdown is sick but I got to give it too strength beyond strength or domination 🤟🏻
@@SuperRoo_22 breakdown? Solos Badass but I don’t really remember a heavy breakdown
Brave to even attempt this monster live. Charlie carried all those crazy transitions. SICK!!!
Sounds pretty killer. Matches my memory of what it sounded like live in ‘96.

The original Pantera have played this song live.dime was the king of groove and all things metal..well played non the less..great tribute.
He said it hasn't been played *"in this iteration of the band"*
Omg Phil sounds amazing. All of them do
This just gets better as time goes on. This needs to come to Australia for a tour. It would be a sell out for sure
amen brother

😳 never thought I would hear this live....killer...keep spreading the music!
I did in 1996
Gets me so pumped! This song I consider the apex of how heavy Pantera were willing to go.
Sick! Hope they keep this in the Setlist
DAMN RIGHT!!! TRENDKILLING SINCE 99'
1st time i seen pantera in concert was in 1994 I've seen em 5 times in the 90's I even caught 1 of Dimebags guitar picks, I hope i get to see them on this tour
Damn Phil! Just damn!!!!!!

One of the most badass intense metal songs ever recorded! RIP Abbott Brothers!!
The breakdown is so goddamn heavy at that pace
I was so blessed to see them 3 times in the 90s and get to meet them and hang out. They were so cool
Brings back my youth..and hits me hard.. forever Pantera..rip our Abbott Brothers..
🤘🤘 still killing it!

Phil still sounds good because he perfected his own voice and it always sounds like him. He is a great metal singer who I admire. 😎
De-scent-ing DOWN! WowoooowwwwW.
Ol grady on the whammy pedal sounding perfect 🤙🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🔥🔥 Charlie LIT AS F!!!
As Phil would say "Badass!" I'm seeing them in Virginia Beach this September VIP meet and greet Getcha Pull ! 3 !!!
Phil sounds very good. Brings me back to flipping out second row center in 95!
Wow! 😱
Best of the best! 😎
Fucking yes!! Absolutely relentless, one of my favourites 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I love TGSK album and it's such a pleasure to hear this song.
It's because he doesn't hit as hard as Vinnie
It's a phone recording. They probably sounded massive through the p.a.
Long Life to PANTERA !
The boys are doing this thing justice
Hope after this tour we get a fast and heavy as fuck Black Label album!🤘🏻
My hopes exactly! Stronger Than Death 2 please SDMF GIFD🤘
This is incredible. Bring on Drag the Waters,
Floods, and 10s and the ground will split open underneath them.
Been a Pantera fan since 92.
Charlie you killing it! Awesome
Incredilbe vocals!!!! God love you phil/
Hell yeah PHILIP sound good af
now they need to add sandblasted skin on their set lol

Phil sounds better than he has in years!!!

8.7 add the pyro from back in that era and its a 10
Sound fucking awesome. I cant wait

Phil's voice sounds like Marlboros and Whiskey it's nostalgic 😂 RIP Seth Putnam!!!
Ese pedal crybaby es mejor que el wah wah wah aburrido de kirk👐🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
God fucking DAMN!
4:33 OMFG. So HEAVY!!!!!!
Nice to see them playing something off of Trendkill…
Ok it's kinda rad he's wearing a sheer terror shirt. Best hardcore band of all time.
Magnífico 🤘☠️🤘
I hope they put primal concrete slege in the set for Rockville Daytona
Why the hell is the crowd so dead?! I saw Pantera in 2000 and the floor was insane.
Since 2000 the whole world became lame.
Last time I saw Pantera I left with 2 fat bloody lips. Probably mid 90’s,

Pantera with dime and vinnie. Played suicide note part 2.. ON MULTIPLE tours. They played this song ALOT.
This song was played live before, Phil said the current lineup hadn't played it yet
Phill was meaning that the actual lineup doesn't played the song
Suicide note pt2 was one of the most song played
It’s literally on Live:101 Proof. They played it a shit-ton.

Heavy as Metal
I was at this show, first row,15 Ft from Rex and they fucking killed it🙌I saw Jesus that night👍
Best ever.
VOICE ON POINT.😀👹
Blacktooth grins all around....
I like this song so much better at this tempo it sounds jut a tiny bit slower but that makes it so much heavier
Is this the same Metal Edge that I used to love in Magazine form back in the day? "What's done is done and gone, so why cry?"
Charlie sounds great on drums
