Thanks Rick!! The purists may frown on the mop fly but it represents a caddis case or a juicy grub so well that the trout find it hard to resist. It’s also a great fly for any beginner to learn how to tie and get into fly fishing. All the best. 👊
Thank you Denny and thanks for checking it out. Glad you enjoyed!! It certainly was quite the day with a number of fly patterns working and lots of laughs with my fishing buds. Good times. 🙂
Just hearing the birds chirp in the sunshine and sounds of running water is truly magical. The winter season can be beautiful in the snow but there is nothing like spring, especially with trout rising to a mayfly hatch. Good stuff!!
Nice look back to may. Hope this winter afforded you some time to fill your brookie box. My son and I are ready to see how our western pa brookie streams spawned 😊
Hi Donnie, May seems like a long way off right now, but time surely flies and soon the trees will be budding, the birds chirping and the mayflies hatching. I think it has been a very good year for the spawn because water levels were so good in October. Good luck on your local streams with your son. Thanks for watching and have a great new year. Tight lines!!
Wow! Some serious nice slab rainbows there! Mop flies, never tried those for trout, think I need to tie some of those! Another awesome video!!!

Hugh rainbow trout. Jeez oh man!!! They were amazing. I was waiting for the fish tossing to begin like at the fish markets. WOW!! Great job. 👍👍
Thanks for watching, buddy. Your sense of humor is always top notch!! All the best to you. 👊
That was a awesome video. Helping your friend out didn't take him long to get the hang of it. Thanks for sharing
