  • This knot works great when you need to tie something down without having to find the end of your rope. The marlin spike and nylon cord can be found at my shop, AwesomeForSale. Thanks

Very nice. No mass network of knots, just a single loop or bite and some pressure. The half hitches are to counter for vibration. Excellent job. Thanks for sharing.

    I love these truck-bed videos.
All-time favorite part, after the ninja knot tying, is when you smack the object and triumphantly proclaim "and that's not going anywhere".
Gets me every time. You my friend, with a handful of paramax cord, are a wonderfully dangerous combination.

Very similar ,in my mind ,to the tensioning of the Trucker Hitch! I like how by pulling in offsetting directions you are keeping load centered! I was building a large gazebo type structure by myself and needed a way to keep a wall panel up right while I attached beams .I ran ropes in offsetting directions to trees and centered with a couple farrimunds friction hitches ! I find it easy to follow your videos ,very well done! Thanjs

Then... just when I thought the video couldn't get any better... and I was thinking this guy is obviously not like us mere mortals. Trusty wife's voice anchors it all down in reality. Lovely! 🙂

Thanks for another great video. I wanted to add another tip as my truck doesn’t have open hooks, which makes attaching the bight to the second hook a bit tricky if not tedious. I got inspired by the Captain Mullins hitch and attaching the bight to the second hook could be done with a larks head. I don’t know if that makes sense 😅 you have to see it to understand it like always.

I use the truckers hitch that holds its own tension exclusively since I learned it 7 months ago. I can't even remember how I did truckers hitchs before this method. Was putting a tarp over my trailer 2 days ago and thought of your video. Now, another tool for the tool box.
Would you research your locking method with more loops for mechanical advantage?

    So the criteria is between
    1. bicycle lower frame flat bar, the one holding the rear wheel.
    2. trailer end has 3/4 inch alum round tube, nothing else.
