Despite watching many videos on rigging in Moho, I was still very confused. Finally, after watching this video, all the confusions related to bones were cleared. Thank you so much for explaining in such a simple way 💐💐💐
I just built this character. I rigged mine using point binding. The head bone is restricted to -45 / 45 degrees and the rest at -70 / 70. I made the forearms and lower leg bones into smart bones. Everything works. This is an excellent tutorial. Keep them coming. I was having problems with smart bones.
LINK BONES TO LAYERS is the one for V14.1 same Ctrl+Shift+F This works better in this vid. In another they used: Create Smooth Joint For Bone Pair, but it works for some bones/layers but not with others. So far this Tut has been very helpful. I was looking for a simple rigging and finally found yours. I'm new in Moho (used Flash many years ago) and I just want a person walking down a hill. This is perfect.
I never thought of looking at tutorials for moho pro because i only have debute but im glad i did because the was broke it really help me i spend weeks frustrated bout to give up but you help me alot thank im glad i switched from adobe to moho i making more progress than i ever did with adobe animate🎉
Hey... you've got great content... I just want to add, tho... if you're 100% brand new to MOHO and you start messing around to create your own rig and you try to create a new Bone Layer... you can't do that unless you have the playhead set to frame 0. This will drive you insane if you don't know this and I wish it was mentioned in the tutorial as it is not intuitive at all why so many create new layer options are disabled.
I recently got some friends interested in Moho and I will definitely will send them this tutorial. Thank you so much for your easy to follow, step by step instructions. 😀 Do you prefer rigging with bone strength and flexi-binding over point binding? I always end up tediously binding points for more precision, but then I kinda miss a more gradual weighting.
Thank you I appreciate that! If you are looking for precise control - point binding will give you the best result. I tend to use both I prefer first rigging with flexi-binding. Something that is really cool with this method is you can have a bone and even a layer that is flexi bound and point bound. Which as you can imagine will give you greater control in that area especially when you need more precision. The benefit of bone strength is having the ability to increase the influence (weight) in the area where a bend might be happening - especially on a single layer. It gives the character more of an organic/squishy feel overall - but it does have its caveat - that being that it can be sometimes difficult to control the exact influence and how it effects the artwork - so it will take tweaking the strength and eventually smart bones to get the ideal result. For beginners though it's perfect and one of the faster binding methods - I have a tutorial that I want to create for which binding methods to use and when as that is a question that comes up very frequently in the 1 on 1 sessions with those new to rigging.
@@McCoy_Buck Thank you for this very detailed reply. I gotta try mixing flexi bind and point bind more. I have done a couple game projects in Esotericsoftware Spine where you can actually weight single points towards multiple bones and now I often miss that in other software. A video about which method to use in what case, would certainly be super helpful. Thanks again for your excellent tutorials!
Hello, thanks for the video tutorial. Do you know when there's going to be an update for moho on the Big Sir OS. I heard that users are having difficulties with the software
Here is a response from the devs: As you know, we had to work over a previous version of the code in order to make it compatible with Big Sur and also to be able to work in an environment that allows us to work fast and add new features quicker. To make this work, we had to remove the bitmap drawing feature from version 13 and bring the Actions window and the 3D options back to the way they worked before that version.
Is it worth buying MOHO 13 Pro? The reason I ask is it took forever for any updates to come out at least it seems like it in the comments I read about it and I don't want to buy something that will not be usable in the future.
When you turn on motion blur it automatically creates keyframe channel I think. And there you can put more keyframes wherever you want it to start and stop
Download the character here: store.mccoybuck.com/simple-character-rig
looks like I accidentally edited out that it's downloadable in the video
You used color points for shading?
@@ddday100 that is correct

can you but the file on GG Drive, it's quite hard to get it from you website :(

thanks teacher moho ❤️
Do you have a tutorial on how to add 3D turns and perspectives to make your rig have like wavy hair, a turning head, body, legs, arms, hands
Can I follow this tutorial with Pro 12.5?
Still waiting on that universal mouth rig
Very good

Whenever I try to add a bone in Moho it doesn’t show me were I put my bone. Pls help

Definitely. Smith Micro sold Moho to Lost Marble - original owner/ creator of Moho. Only gets better from here
@@McCoy_Buck Too bad there are no promo codes out there. I appreciate your feedback and will continue to watch your tutorials.
I need a small question how can i turn motion blur on and off at certain keyframes you can say how to animate motion blur
When you turn on motion blur it automatically creates keyframe channel I think. And there you can put more keyframes wherever you want it to start and stop
Not at my computer, but I believe this is true. The key frames are automatically created
download email is not working
bro can you make 20 free characters ready to rig?
its helped but we need more help here :DDDD iam druning in this ... :DDD
ADD bone doenst appears...its only SELECT BONE...wtf...
@@OscarMemo333 what version of Moho are you using?
Please come with Turkish subtitles to your videos🤗
I'm sorry I'm only fluent in English and Spanish
with a name like that you could sell lots of country music albums - McCoy Buck and the Stampede
I see, flexi binding is a faster way, instead of bind points.
I thought it was a normal tutorial not a livestreamimg
Hey Ben, no worries this is not a live stream. The premiere of the tutorial was live - just a feature of UA-cam. But it's a normal video upload.
Sub!
PROBLEM THERE isn't smart in debut
please make your materials free bro they are paid now i dont have money
Thanks a lot.
