    Always put each other first. The children will grow up and get married and have their own lives. If you don't put your relationship first it could cause a strain on the marriage down the road. One day or night per month have a date. Keep the romance going. 😊

    There is only one language that a couple needs. The language of love. And this language includes forgiveness, good thoughts, affection, sacrifices. I'm married my husband before 33 years and 2, 5 engangement. 35 years story. I can't live without him. We have 2 big boys . I have first in my life God and after my husband. I love my son's very much, but you know you' ll stay with your husband at the end. And the very end with God. Love its other so much. This time of craziness will go away , then you have its other

    This happens to all of us parents. It is important to make time for just you and Jungu, what little time you have. The saying of quality time over quantity is so true. It will change and get better as the kids get older, how much older depends on the family, so in the mean time just hold on to that knowledge and be good to each other as you already are. Blessings and holiday greetings to you all!!

    i think with a little bit of collective and a little bit of individualistic makes a greater culture. because i know so many people who families come from collective cultures who have a hard time with finding happiness within themselves. yes it’s good to help others but making choices that benefit others rather than yourself isn’t always good. but it’s also good to keep in mind others around you as well and not be selfish. so i understand both sides

    Open communication, caring and compromise (CCC) are the key ingredients to a long-lasting relationship. Disagreements and fights are inevitable and actually serve a purpose. That is how a person gets past a hump and builds greater bonds and trust, it's part of the learning curve because nothing in life remains the same and as much as people may live together we are always evolving this is how we continue to learn each other and grow. It also breaks up the mundane routines. BTW, love language refers to how you two express your love or emotions, i.e through, touch, talk, taste (eg. cooking everything Jungu likes to eat).

    People in the West do tend to be more selfish but I do think that Aisha is right in that it's difficult to be close with people in Korea because of the hierarchy. And because of the hierarchy,it isn't as community based as it seems. On the surface it seems community based but people are generally not friendly to people they don't know well. There are no casual conversations with cashiers,bus drivers or even a random person on the bus. In the West and even in African countries, it's very easy to mske friends and create communities because people are generally open. But in Korea,vveryone just keeps to themselves. Which I find very cold. So maybe people are community focused if they know you well enough,but that confirms what Aisha said about it being difficult to get close to people.

      This is not true that there r no casual conversations with cashiers, bus drivers etc. I have watched many, many vlogs of daily living in South Korea by vloggers who both live and have visited South Korea .I have seen Koreans gush over babies and young children, telling the parents how cute the kids r ,and giving them sweets or juice or milk boxes.When foreigners can speak or attempt 2 speak Korean , Koreans really love that and will engage in conversation. I have seen taxi drivers initiate conversations with foreigners. 2 say Koreans r not community minded because they r only friendly with the people they know well in their respective communities does not really make sense. What else is being community minded if not being friendly with the people within the community?

    • @nontzmkhize8735
      @nontzmkhize8735 7 місяців тому +3

      @@satis7561 they might gush over cute babies and throw out "pretty" but that's not conversation. You don't see people talking on a bus,in the subway or even with the cashier or waitress. I have been there so I am talking from experience. Maybe language has to do with it. If that's the case then it's understandable. But where I am from,you don't sit next to someone on a bus or taxi and not say anything to them. You talk. Even if it is small talk. Even at the lobby of the hotel,the only person whom we had casual conversations with and who we ended up sharing tips with was an Australian Indian lady. Whenever we would go to the lobby,nobody would talk to us. Same with cashiers,bus drivers etc. Maybe it's because there is this culture of rushing so they don't want to engage in conversation because they need to get things done quickly and efficiently which I respect,but again, it's not warm. Where I am from,we have a saying called "Ubuntu". It means roughly that I am a person because of other people. And it means that we are all a community,whether I know you or not. Whether you are in my immediate community or not. I will treat you the same way I would treat my family or friends because we are all human. Which is why we greet each other on the streets,we talk to cashiers,we ask each other where our surnames originate from,we ask each other what our names mean,we can talk to random people on the bus or the subway and it's not frowned upon. It's just different. For example,I recently casually struck up a conversation with a middle aged woman and it turned out she was a travel agent,now she's helping me with my trip. Another friend of mine casually struck up a conversation with a man on the side of the road, only to find out he does furniture reupholstery. He just fixed her grandmother's antique chair. That is the community in my country. I've had a colleague call me on their drive home because they saw a mom walking with a small child in the heat and she wanted me to translate for her so she could ask the mom if she needed a ride/lift. That is what I mean when I say community. None of us knew these people personally,but we helped each other out because of "Ubuntu" which can also be called humanity. I also watch videos of foreigners living in Korea(especially in the lead up to my trip) and a lot of them have said that it's difficult making friends in Korea because most of the friend groups are friends from school or friends from work so it's tough to form friendships if you don't go to a university or work in a traditional office. Aisha herself has said in a video that most of the friends she has,she has made through her husband. I have literally made 3 new friends this year and none of them are mutual friends and none work with me at my workplace. It's just different. People are more open.

  • @justme.11
    @justme.11 7 місяців тому +24

    When they talked about westerners only thinking of themselves and gave the example of when she was pregnant, I experienced the opposite when I was in Korea.
    There was an elderly woman going down the subway steps with a heavy cart. Everyone walked past her and didn't notice.
    I took the cart from her and put it at the bottom of the steps. I offered to help her down the steps but she wanted to do it by herself.
    A Korean woman helped me with her cart but I was shocked that no one wanted to help this lady that was struggling.
    For context, I'm from Missouri in the U.S.

    This was an awesome segment podcast. I have learned in a relationship, in my opinion, most times, a man will argue at or with his significant other if he's a cheater, a liar and a killer of vibes (song by Kim Hyun Joong, "PLEASE") When arguments happened it was because he had other women in his life and trying to get out the house 🏡 or don't like his girl anymore. An innocent 😇 man knows to agree with almost anything to keep his girl happy. Because "when momma is not happy, nobody's happy". ❤

    😅 guys you still have to answer the love language question. Is it 1)Quality time, 2)Words of affirmation, 3)Physical touch, 4)Receiving gifts, or 5)Acts of service?

    Always try to have communication by touch and vocally. Touching and kissing make a difference. Hugs and cuddling during naps, sleep or just being near each other make a difference. Also hire a part time nanny for just a few hours to spend time together. Good luck and longevity for your family. ❤

    I think females in general have a hard time with their emotions due to their hormonal fluctuation. Men on the other hand, in general, are much stable in nature.

      Heheh^^ years ago I ruined my hair with straightening. After cutting them short 4 years ago and the long wait until they grew back I'm not going to straighten or color them again😅🤣

      That’s strange to ask someone to straightened her hair just for u to see, it’s awkward to ask. If one day she decides to straighten her hair it will be for her not for someone she don’t even know. 😂

      @@dudaresende955 I totally agree. My hair is similar to Aisha, and I would be insulted if someone asks me to straighten it. Accept me as my natural self.

      @@AishaBa I share the same texture hair as you Aisha. I love your curls. You should be accepted as your natural gorgeous self. No one should ask you to straighten your hair for them to see. I don't know about you, but I was uncomfortable reading the question and the fact that it was ask. Love you and your family. I get so much joy watching all of your videos and reels. Continued Blessings. :)
